Love this place! You can find everything and anything crafty and DIY. I am working on bedazzling my wedding invitations and Micheals is my absolute go to stop. If you have ever been in their stores then you know exactly what I mean, and if you haven't then shame on you, you are truly missing out. They always have amazing sales, and weekly coupons that give you great deals on everything in the store, just go their website when you are in the store, pull up the coupons on your smart phone and present it to the cashier. she will swipe your phone and boom, instantly you will get 20% and sometimes even 30% on your whole purchase. This location is extremely convenient as it's close to the 210 and 10 freeway. With a huge parking lot that has vast amounts of space it is easy to come here and quickly get what you need and be off on your way. Customer service is a hit or miss, but for the most part you will be taken care of. I will most definitely be back to this store over and over again and I suggest you all do the same :) read more

I can't believe such good customer service like this exists. They went above and beyond with what I needed. I have a bad back and a worker graciously offered to carry me over their shoulder like a firefighter and helped me acquire the product I needed. I'm currently working on a human sized statue of jesus and was in dire need of yarn, felt, glue, glitter, foam, yarn, and glue and the worker was able to locate every item except a human sized statue of Jesus. So this is about my 2 recent visits to Michael's and using the curbside pickup. I'm not a fan of their curbside option at all. My first visit was on April 9th and I received my order and proceeded to drive off because they had a long line. I decided to check my order before I returned home and discovered that my order was incorrect. I ordered 2 items that were $10 and some change each and I received 2 items that were about $2.40 each. When I asked the employee about my order, she said they ran out of the item. Ok. So why didn't someone call me since we are required to add a phone number to our order or why wasn't it replaced with a product of equal value? She tells me that I would have to take it up with corporate. Why? I ordered through this location. Any other item I wanted gave me a notification that it wasn't available. Eventually after being there for 52 minutes, she switched it for a product I was satisfied with. Today, May 8th, I decide to order a bottle of paint. When I arrived, there were atleast 25 cars waiting. I called them 8 times before anyone answered. They hung up/rejected the call the first 7 times. Finally after 50 minutes, I get my paint. I absolutely love this store for all my wreath making and holiday decor. I have been coming to this location since we moved here (2012) and every single time (no matter what time of the day) the customer service is terrible. You can never find an associate on the floor for help, if you push the assistance button they never come, and the cashiers are like sloths! They seem to be under staffed. I have been to the Rancho, Fontana and Upland location and I get the same horrible customer service for all 3 locations. Very disappointing and unprofessional! The ultimate store for the ultimate hobbiest. Make sure you have a list because Michaels can be a little overwhelming. I walk in and literally want to buy everything. Okay, maybe I should take my own advice because I have never had a list when I've came in. Truth be told, I like the endless possibilities. My mind goes to another place. I drown out all of the noics when I'm here. It doesn't matter if I'm happy or sad or hungry or hangry - Michaels will get you out of a funk and put you on cloud 10. If you're already happy, well... expect euphoria. I'm serious, it's like a mix between a toy store and a candy shop for kids, but for adults. More specifically, adults who are young at heart... but also great fun for kids too. I literally had the best experience today at Michael's. I went to Michael's on my lunch break (after returning from the day before due to card errors while trying to pay). So I attempted to purchase my beautiful craft supplies and the same issue happened with my card ( funds were verified) however card still was unable to process my payment. But the lady at the cashier wasn't being nice to me for using coupons which I was really upset and confused because the whole reason why Michaels are giving out coupons are for us to use it, but I'm getting attitude from the lady for using the coupons. I SMELL A RAT! I took a diploma to be framed. It was in a sturdy original "Jostens" box with a handle for safe transportation. When I went to pick up the framed diploma it was in thin brown butcher paper taped together with little strips of masking tape?? So you go from a safe, original sturdy box to a butcher paper and you thought to throw away the box??? Right! No one had to tell you to return the frame in the box! Also in regards to curbside pickup at this location, waited all day for the email that the order was ready, went and sat in line while one poor lady went in and out of the store taking down order numbers. Got my order and went home and discovered 5 items missing totaling about $25. They had missed and entire back side of a page, and circled an item they couldn't find but didn't bother to take it off the order. I called them and was hung up on several times. Called again today, hung up on again twice. Corporate only has a chat bot taking calls so basically buy at your own risk. They took my money and now I can't get ahold of anyone read more

Totally understaffed absolutely no customer service helping anybody on the floor and there's only one young girl at the register. The managers probably hiding in the back somewhere looking at the cameras trying to see who's stealing instead of getting his or her ass out there on the floor and helping customers. Went online to try to find items that supposedly were in stock and when I got to the store the inventory they actually had was completely inaccurate. On Friday December 18, 2020 was not allowed to enter the Rancho Cucamonga, CA because I cannot wear a face covering. I have asthma and according to the CA State web site if you have a medical condition, you are exempt from wearing a face mask. Asthma is also listed as a disability according to The American with Disability Act of 1990 and amended 2008. When I pointed this out I was told to leave. I was discriminated against. So if you go to Michaels to shop be aware if you have a disability, they may prevent you from entering their store(s). read more

Beware beware beware.... Their new "everyday low price" items are not eligible for coupons! What the heck! I spent a good 30 minutes deciding on a few items and since I had a 40% off coupon, I chose an item NOT on sale. Well, finally getting up to cashier and she advises the item not on sale is at its "everyday low price" and not eligible. I was dumbfounded. It's truly not clear and they could claim that everything in the store is "everyday low prices". I think this is a tactic to sell at regular prices since most people will just buy what they needed despite having a coupon. This could be a class action suit. Stay tuned. read more

So I've been here before and had a great experience with a girl in the frame department. Not only did she help me find the perfect frame, she informed me of current specials, and at the end framed it for me. Great service! I went on Sunday around 7pm and the female in the frame department was awful. I took my poster in once again, asked for help she responded with what? So I advised I needed to frame this poster can you help me find a good frame. She points out where the frames are as if it's not obvious they are there. So I ask can you please measure it for me at least so I know what size I'm looking for, which she did. I find the frame and then ask is there any specials currently? She replies I don't know you can check online, so I did. She rings me up for the frame and ask is there anything else? I proceed to tell her that I need her help framing it. She advised she is not allowed to, to which I replied "oh, last couple of trips I've made and referred people here we were able to get help" she responds oh well they don't want us helping so I apologize. Needless to say this experience was quite different and not as helpful. I understand if its policy but all I ask for is consistency. I was able to get help twice before and even people I referred to go in received help. During quarantine I have placed multiple orders online and the staff are awesome with the curbside pick up! (I've had days where I have 2-3 separate orders ) Even on hot days when there are 10-15+ cars waiting, they're fast and friendly. I did have one issue with a paint bottle, but they took care of it within minutes and I was in my way. The online ordering is also super easy and they always have something on sale! Bathroom disgusting. They need to have more cashiers and have some of the employees on a schedule to take out trash in bathrooms/clean restrooms. As much as I shop at Michaels and as much as I love the store I'm no longer going to shop here as a result of this experience. The General Manager named Norka has absolutely zero customer service skills nor does she have the skills or personality to be in a leadership role. I purchased Polaroid insta camera here as a gift. As soon as we opened the item and started using it we noticed the product was defective and would take black pictures. I took it back to the store and they said that they won't exchange it and simply referred me the manufacture. Basically I wasted $60 on a defective product. When I asked to speak to a manager Norka came to talk to me. From the start from when she walked up she looked grumpy and didn't feel like talking to me. After basically telling me that she is not going honor their own return policy I asked to talk to her boss. She told me she was the GM and there was no one higher for me to talk to. With all the competition out there for a product like this I regret buying it from Michaels. I also can't believe Michaels would hire someone like Norka with such an attitude to provide customer service. I'll be following up with Michaels corporate. My home away from home. Everything is always fairly priced over any other craft store and you can usually walk out with everything you hoped to find plus more! They always have great deals on the small acrylic paint bottles (5 for $3 sometimes) and it is excellent quality. I used to buy my canvases from Aaron Bros. because i thought it was cheaper, but if you use the coupons they give with your receipt you can get an amazing deal! This is a HUGE Michaels. The aisles are organized, clean, and labeled so things are easier to find, but it's fastest to ask someone for help if you're looking for something specific. They have a lot more items and they are cheaper than the Michaels closest to my house. The aisles are wide so it is wheelchair accessible. The employees are friendly and I didn't have any problems with them. The only thing is that some of the carts have poles that can't leave the store. (They don't fit through the door.) This is difficult if you have a lot of items to bring back to your car. Make sure to get a cart without a pole to make transferring your purchases to your car easier. They have a parking lot. read more

My curbside pickup experience with them was terrible, we waited for almost an hour and for the girl who gave us our order to give us attitude. When she dropped off our stuff she was walking off without saying anything and I had to call her and say we were missing other stuff and she did a big sigh like "are you serious" like if we were annoying her but that was our only question, and she replied saying she is trying to hurry so she can go home. I'm sorry if you're having a bad day but that isn't right to put it towards the customer if we weren't causing any trouble, we're all trying to go home. Horrible experience with custom frame ordering. It's as if they truly don't want this business. The online ordering process is miserable, they don't send any emails. We have $4000 in frames to be done and thank God I didn't give them our business. To this day the only contact I received was from an online CSR named Sabrina who did nothing to keep my business, she simply cancelled my order. Almost always has what I'm looking for and at (what I believe) is a decent price. The store is big but not as big as it's competitor hobby lobby which is humongous and very close. Cashiers at all craft stores (this one is no exception) seem to be the slowest on earth when completing a transaction. No love lost here since they are not the slowest. The people there are helpful and nice and I can always find someone if I had a question. Been going to this store since before it opened at its current location (when it was next to the old Kmart). This place is a haven for art/ art & craft lovers. You can basically find everything you need here. Brushes, various paper types, xacto knives, glue, paint, canvas... basically all materials you would normally need for an art class. The prices are a bit on the premium side but they are not as bad as Dick Blicks. The prices are great when you do have a coupon though. You can get usually 40% off on a single item. And the receipt usually gives you a coupon for a future purchase. I would advise anyone shopping here to find the coupons before going to checkout. You can find it on their website using your phone and the cashier can just scan the code on your phone. The main drawback of this store is that the store has only a handful of employees in such a HUGE store. Sometimes finding a particular item can be a bit frustrating when finding an employee to help you out is just as hard as finding the item itself! The place is clean and spacious. The employees are helpful IF you can find one to help you out. read more

Worst customer service.. I went in to shop for work, which I do constantly. My job requires constant purchases from Michaels. I had a cart full of frames that toppled over and bad service started when no one bothered to help me while I'm struggling to place the items back in the cart. This location has carts that are not allowed to be taken outside the store which is a nuisance if you are purchasing "big" which my purchases usually are.. They did ask if I needed help out and of course I accepted the offer. Because I was in a rush I started taking out my items myself and I figured they could assist with my remaining items. On my return from my first trip to pick up more items, no one still had showed up to help. I grab a second load and trek out to the car for my 2nd trip.. Hoping maybe they will be on the way to helping me bring my 3rd load. I return back to the store for the 3rd time and I see my last 7 remaining items in a cart , no one else on site, cart there for me to haul out on my own.. Why do I need the cart now!? I simply grabbed the remaining items w/o the cart. Useless! I have many other projects in the future but I will NEVER return to this location. I had to go to michaels to pick up some items for my 11 year olds project. This michaels is very unorganized and good luck finding help. I stood at the customer service desk for over five mins while one employee took stuff from one basket and put it in another and never asked if I need help. Finally the cashier helpped me as soon as the line went down by calling that girl back to walk me around the store.
