Finally Got My Traxxas Slash! I've been wanting a Traxxas Slash 2WD for years, and after countless hours of research, I finally decided to splurge and I'm glad I did. I purchased mine from Handle It Hobbies and it's well worth every cent. I live in the desert and this RC truck tears through the desert like a beast. It's rugged, it's speedy, and really, it's just so much fun. Aaron was the guy who assisted me, and he was fantastic! He really knowledgeable, interested, and pleasant. As a woman, I've had some bad experiences in hobby shops when I was not taken seriously, but Aaron was the polar opposite. He greeted me warmly and was excited for me to get into the hobby at last. What a find!!! I'm new to the RC scene and had bought 3 RC cars at a bigger, more well know shop. Not knowing any better or doing any research I thought they were the only shop like that in town. Boy was I wrong. Went to HandleIT Hobbies and the owner was awesome. The other shop made me feel bad for asking questions and was more interested in getting to the next person than helping me. Wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. Being that I already had bought the cars I needed parts and was going to try and avoid the other shop. I found HandleIT Hobbies and will continue to shop there. He had all the parts I needed and didn't try to upsell me just to make a buck. Love coming to HandleIT. Aaron is always willing to help and is very knowledgeable. Customer service is on point, yes you have to wait as it's a small store, but it's worth it. I've been going to this shop for a few months now but waited to post my review so I could see how it is dealing with them over sometime. Aaron is great and extremely knowledgeable. I realized that he does not cut corners, he does things the right way. I've taken my Arrma, Losi and Axial to him (3 very different cars) and he always knows how to work on them or get the parts I need. It's nice to have a local shop that knows what they are doing and save me the time driving 20/30 miles away. Also, I'm a pretty busy person so it's nice that his rates are reasonable I can enjoy the hobby without paying crazy rates since sometimes I don't have time for larger repairs. read more

This is one of the best RC shops around. You might find more parts and cars in stock in the big fancy RC store, but you will not get the personalized small-shop attention that you get at Handle It. Dude is a straight shooter, but he doesn't candy-coat stuff, which would probably explain the few negative reviews. The guy knows about everything there is to know about RCs. So nice to have a local available expert you can go in and talk to. You can tell that his motivation isn't to make gobs of money, but understand he's trying to pay his rent and feed his family just like the rest of it. My favorite hobby shop. The service is always great. I call often with questions on parts and get help by phone with direction and pointers and if something is not in they will get it, no questions. I'm into 1/5 and 1/8 scale racing so have purchased lots of odds and ends that goes along with the hobby. They have a huge selection of parts that out do the other places. I also find their rates to be exceptionally good on all their in stock and special order parts. They have the most needed parts and tools right off the shelf. How can you have someone invest so much money into a car you say you can fix, but didn't? Where's your customer service ? A really great store. I love it when I find a great small business, and HandeleIT Hobbies is a awesome store.............. I had gone to another Hobby store in Cucamonga near Wal-Mart. They were sort of rude. I don't know a lot about RC cars and they acted like I was clueless and they knew everything. It ended up they sold me the wrong Part for my car and I had to return it... LOL.... then I remembered there was an RC car store on Rochester (Handel IT). the guy that helped me was awesome. He got the right parts.. He then installed the right Batt connectors. and to top it all off he then showed me all this stuff about my RC car I didn't know... What an awesome store. the guy that helped me was named Arron and I would ask for him again..... Do your self and this store a favor... if you need any rc cars or parts or drones... go and support this store.... And... the prices were great...... read more

I give this place an A+. The staff was very helpful and they didn't try and pressure me to buy a whole bunch of stuff i didnt need, like some other shops in the area. Arron was great. I took my broken Traxxas in and he told me what parts I need and even guided me on how to put them on. After that he soldered the broken wire on my remote starter free of change!! I would recommend Hobby It Hobbies for the repair of your RC device. Not being a hobbyist myself, Hobby It Hobbies was recommended to me by more than three different members of law enforcement who are hobbyist. I took my grandsons RC car to Aaron and simply told him to repair it. Within an hour after many trials he had determined that the controller was not functioning correctly. Purchasing a new controller, a battery charger and an extra battery pack, my grandsons RC car is working fantastically.
