This place is awfully incorrectly priced and despite letting the cashier know what you see and showing pictures. Cashier Haley? Or whatever her rude non customer self is, does not understand the sales! She talks down to you like you are bothered to her and in her eyes she is right about everything. As if nobody has ever shopped at Michael's before or worked in retail. I picked up floral from this area and they came original price. I said I bought these at other michaels and they were on sale! She said oh they must have honored you the price, are you a teacher or some kind of discount they gave you. I said no I'm not a teacher but I did enter my phone number as a Michaels member and got 40% on my other floral. WHY AM I EVEN ARGUING WITH AN EMPLOYEE??! Sad to say I spent a lot here but I sure won't be coming back. Her customer service ticked me off and people like that need customer service training. I do not care about purple, green sticker because your signs don't specify that. If you want your purple, green, yellow, orange stickers to be 40% at least write it on your SIGN! Yeah?! Retail has changed so much, it's sad that you have to show proof in order to make them sales or maybe not!

I recommend for any natural fiber/ synthetic lover to stop by and browse at least once! So much yarn with a wide selection of beautiful colors, fibers (wool, alpaca, bamboo, cotton, recycled fibers, etc) plus a wide variety of brands. Amazing store and amazing + helpful staff. I guarantee you'll find what you need--and if not, you'll still walk out with something that makes you smile from ear to ear

The lovely ladies from Needful Things were happy to help her. They explained the properties of each of the yarns she was interested in. Some of them required a yarn balling machine and they explained that to her too. My other daughter bought a delightful crochet jellyfish. They are now a regular destination for us when we are here visiting family. I highly recommend them! If you are looking for craft supplies or a unique gift, this is the place to go!

This store is truly worth a visit! It is seriously a visit to a different decade. The entire store…read morecould be in the fifties, or earlier. It's homey and simply arranged with real examples of what talented crafters can do with lovely materials. Sadly, I am not (yet) one such person. As with the shopfronts of the past, the owner lives upstairs, and will advise her customers that they can call if she's popped upstairs during business hours. The owner (I think her name is Pamela, but I've lost the business card.) takes yarn VERY SERIOUSLY. I recently went in for a gift for a relative who had made me a very large afghan. I wanted to buy the relative a fancy yarn that would be a pleasure for her to make something for herself. The owner asked me more questions than I even knew the answers to, and together we arrived at a beautiful wine colored yarn of a sort of silken material. It was a little dear, but I think the yarn will be a lovely scarf or shawl. The owner will answer ANY questions that you have. I don't think there's anything about knitting or crocheting that she doesn't know. Of course she teaches as well. In keeping with the classic theme, there is no Internet portal with which to access the store. I was told that if the owner had a computer it would probably be flying out of her upstairs window in short order. But, really, shouldn't we leave the house and meet our retailers sometimes? I strongly recommend this store to crafty folks!

Went here today specifically looking for cotton yarn (maybe cotton blend), but I really needed to…read morefeel and see it. I've been doing basic crocheting for years-lap blankets. Now after all these years and now being retired and having the time, I'm ready to expand my skills. Now let me preface the fact I'm a lefty, so this is probably why I never went further that a simple stitch/blanket. But now you can find videos and tutorials, yay! So... off to the yarn shop. I mean Michael's has yarn for basic projects, but if feel it's time to step it up! During the pandemic I visited this shop with my friend who was looking for quality yarn at the time. Today I felt I'd go back and check out what they could offer for a burgeoning beginner/intermediate like me. The owner Marsha greeted me when I came in and was so helpful with all my questions (and I had a lot of questions!) she was very patient and kind. She helped me find a nice cotton yarn that wasn't too expensive since it's my first time doing a project like this one, and gave me some good tips on working with this kind of yarn. So also told me I can always come and sit at the large table with a project and sit and work on a project if I want too and time. So yes, this yarn may be a bit more expensive that you are used too if it's your first time at a proper Yarn shop, but these yarns are lovely and the qualities are beautiful. It's really a lovely little shop.

In the center of the shop, a group of women were knitting and chatting around the table, and it was absolutely charming. Marsha, the owner, could not have been kinder. She patiently helped me work through a pattern I was stuck on and made me feel completely at home. The atmosphere is so inviting that I could've stayed for hours. This is the kind of place that makes you want to linger, create, and connect. I can't wait to come back!
