The shop is clean and neat and is set up very cute. We made an appt with Kathi and met my daughter and future son-in-law there literally just time, as they had driven down from OR for a visit and pick out their wedding invitations. Kathi was very helpful in picking out colors and font/designs that compliment each other. The invitations come in packs of 25, we ordered 3 packs. Total 750! A bit shocking, but my daughter loved them and had just spent 2 hours in the shop picking out the perfect invitations. Once the invitations were ready my mom picked up the two bags and brought them home. I noticed there were several small boxes. Opened the first one...glue dots! What in the world? Now, I'm a scrapbooker so before opening the other boxes I knew...we would be putting them together!! So, we paid 750 for some beautiful purple and gold glitter card stock!!!! Oh and the wedding info printed out on cream colored card stock. It was not at anytime conveyed to us that we would be putting together the invitations. For this price we should've had them completed and in envelopes, these are not bought from Hobby Lobby or Staples for goodness sake. Nor were they ordered online from a "printing" shop. 3 stars for cleanliness. read more

Rude. I have been going to paper habit for over 20 years, and it used to be THE place to go for wedding invitations. I went I. A few months ago and the attendant was rude then but I let it slide. Today my daughter and I went in to purchase stationary. We waited for over thirty minutes while another customer chatted with the attendant. She never even acknowledged our presence. Not once even when I stared at the front. Wow. We walked out and will not return. read more

Kathi is amazing! She caught three mistakes I made with addresses having searched every location to make sure it was correct and caught a misspelled name with the seating cards. Very negative attitude - not very welcoming. If they do not carry something that you are looking for or asking about - they have a slightly condescending attitude. They need to work on not sounding quite so arrogant. What they have is nice - but buyer beware - unless you have a Lot of money for your wedding invitations - or whatever - you probably need to look somewhere else. It is probably no problem to them if less than affluent customers give them their business - they act as though those customers who can afford overpriced merchandise are the ones they prefer to give service to. read more

I had a really positive experience at Paper Habit and with Kathi. The shop carries a ton of quality products and truly, they seem like the only place in the central valley where you can go to see wedding invitations and paper stock in-person. I didn't want to order anything online because you can't physically see and touch the paper until it's too late to change your mind. Kathi got a great feel for exactly what I wanted and had pulled samples of what I might like before I arrived. read more

I love this shop! We got our wedding invitations here and the process was a joy from start to finish. The owner is so kind and accommodating, you can tell she genuinely cares about her customers. We did not get our envelopes through them as we were ordering envelopes through our calligrapher, but when our envelopes arrived (already addressed) our invitations didn't fit!!! (And yes I sent the invite dimensions to the envelope people ahead of time) I almost had a panic attack. I called Paper Habit to see if they could help us. The owner said to bring the invitations and envelopes down to the shop that same day and she would see what she could do. She trimmed all the invitations and re rounded the corners by hand right then and there! Crisis averted! Thank you Paper Habit! read more

Kathi of Paper Habit is incredibly amazing! My wedding planner introduced me to Kathi, and I honestly could not be more pleased that we were introduced. I had my heart set on having horizontal menus for my wedding, and I searched Pinterest, websites of stationary vendors, and generally spent hours Googling trying to find what I wanted. Unfortunately I was not able to find anything close to what I was looking for. I described to Kathi what I wanted and she got back to me so quickly with a suggestion. I absolutely loved Kathi's idea, and asked that she do the menus for my wedding. I was then struggling with wanting to do something more special than a standard place card, and my wedding planner asked Kathi if she had any ideas. Kathi sent a gorgeous image of a place card, and it completely fit with the other elements of my wedding. Kathi coordinated with my calligrapher to get the place cards to the calligrapher. So essentially Kathi is a creative genius, which is great when you care about how things look, but don't have a complete vision. The menus and place cards turned out so well as Kathi really pays attention to detail. While the most important thing is to be happy with the end product (and if it were possible to be more than 100% satisfied, I would be!), Kathi is also incredibly easy to work with. She is incredibly quick to respond to emails. I had an amazing team of wedding vendors, and Kathi was by far the most responsive (which is saying a lot). I'm sure I asked a million questions, and Kathi is incredibly patient and kind. I can't wait until I have another project for the Paper Habit. read more
