I went and got bayalage and my 1st calligraphy cut with Alex and loved it! Alex really listened to the color I wanted (unlike previous hair stylists) and finally gave me the bayalage I'd been looking for for years! I'll also never cut a regular cut after a calligraphy again! My hair is very thick so calligraphy thins it out, keeps it soft, and finally gives my hair shape. I've seen Alex twice now for color and cut and will keep going back! She is fantastic. I'm also excited to try out getting my makeup done there next week as part of their Valentine's Day special. NV the Salon is so close to home (Medford), close to the city yet don't need to deal with the hassle of parking. It is an incredibly professional salon and I can tell that owner Erica puts a lot of hard work in and ensures to check in with everyone even if she isn't styling them. I highly highly recommend!!!

It's such a mood - the calming area is so moody and mellow. It was $130 and it was absolutely worth it. I would recommend Heather - she is so fun and personable. We had so much in common that I was having a bit of a laugh even a few minutes into the massage. I am a light to medium pressure girly and she was super responsive and listened (winning). It definitely calmed me down a bit after a stressful week. Also, I need scalp massages added to all of my massages because what have I been missing out on!? Parking took me a second just because the small lot behind the salon was full, but it was also midday on a Saturday. I was able to get a street parking spot a few down from the door and it's 2-hr parking so that was perfect. I would say to make sure you have cash for gratuity as well as you can't add it to your card. I was told some people there do accept Venmo as well, but cash is your best bet. I will definitely book again because the entire rest of the day, I was relaxed. I also love this location because then I don't have to drive into the city at all on busy days!

I'm not naming the stylist because she is genuinely kind and gives great haircuts. But she talks a lot during appointments and seems to lose track of time, and I believe that's exactly what happened here. There was no timer used, and my hair was washed out in sections, far too late. From the beginning, I made it very clear that avoiding damage was my top concern. I even said I'd rather tone darker and use less bleach if needed -- and that was totally ignored. After the rinse, I parted my hair for the cut and immediately noticed stringy, broken strands. I panicked and expressed my concern, but was told this was "normal," which I know from past experience it is absolutely not. I continued pointing out the damage, and rather than acknowledging it, the stylist became visibly annoyed and shifted the conversation to distract me. I was devastated -- and still am. I only received a 10% discount and a take-home treatment, which I honestly don't think will help at this point. I paid $278 and was in the salon from 12 to almost 5 p.m., which is excessive, especially considering my hair isn't even that dark anymore. It had grown out to medium brown with some coppery foils left -- this shouldn't have taken that long, and it definitely shouldn't have left me with missing hair.

Three words: Full body massage!…read more I lucked out at this place by buying a massage during their "living social" promotion for half priced massages. I saved it for my birthday week to make it really special. The salon is beautiful. An attractive brick building on the outside, then three floors of salon and spa to get you glowing from head to toe. The build out is very high end with new hardwoods, cool lighting and nice equipment. When I walked in all the people working there were super nice and even gave me a tour. Cassie was my massage therapist. The room we used was very tranquil. Soft music, flowing water, soft candle light and a warm massage table. No clutter and impeccably clean. Before we started she sat down with me to go over my questionnaire and see if I had any specific areas of concern, then asked about what kind of pressure I was looking for. The massage was wonderful. She spent time getting in spots and taking out knots. She started off with some neck work, then spent time all over, then finishing with my back. She didn't talk unless it was asking me to move. I was completely relaxed and would recommend her services. It was the best massage I ever had. While I was doing my massage my boyfriend tagged along for a mens pedicure I convinced him to book . He said it was the best foot treatment of his life. The woman doing it, Penny, really took her time and his feet looked like new when I saw them later in the day. He is not one to go for pedicures often but said he felt so comfortable he would go back frequently. The downstairs has a nice manicure and pedicure area. I plan to come back and get one sometime as well as another massage. I'm so glad I found this place. I highly recommend it to for salon and spa services or even to give someone an impressive gift certificate for the holidays, it would be a classy choice.
