My wife placed an online order at this michaels (7320 W Bell Road Glendale Arizona 85308) she never received a notification that this order was ready and about noon she received a email that said her order was picked up. When my wife called the store to inquire about this transaction she was put on hold for over 15 minutes and had to call back, Jessica was the employee she spoke with and she said "we don't have any orders under your name or your husband" wife asked her to hold for a second while she looked up the order number and about 15 seconds Jessica hung up on my wife. Wife called back and she completely denied hanging up so my wife asked to speak with the store manager and at this point Jessica identified herself as the store manager, wife then asked her for the district managers name and contact information, at this point Jessica back peddled and said she is not the store manager and gave the name of Michelle as the store manager and when my wife called her out she hung up again.... going to escalate this as this is very unprofessional read more

I'm here all the time for my job, and most of the time they have what I need. It's also nice that I have a 50% off coupon nearly every time I go thanks to their online newsletter and coupons on receipts. The really bad thing about this location is they don't seem to realize how popular they are and are always, always understaffed. The shortest wait I've had is probably 10 minutes. Today I expected to have a better time- its almost Christmas so surely they hired temp workers right? Nope, the line spanned across the entire store. Parking is bad, staff is not that friendly, and they always insist on forming separate lines behind the registers. F-that. I was shopping for canvases and there was sign by the brand that I purchased that said buy one get second 50% off. The size I wanted had a sign that said $16.99. I took it to the cashier and they said that it was $21.99 and it didn't have the special second for 50% off. They had a worker check for the sign and it was confirmed that it was regular price. After I paid for the materials I went back there and there it was a sign within the brand that I purchased. I asked a nearby associate of the sign was for the canvases and his response was "oh no it's not, the sign is there to mess with people" and then I had him price check the item that was listed for $16.99, and he told me it rings up for $21.99. He went about his business and I walked out of that store thinking that I would never go back there again. read more

Let me start off by saying I've shopped at different Michaels locations time and time again. I enjoy using their 40% off coupons which helps save on craft projects. This specific location is a larger newer store with plenty of parking. Now the problem: I Went in to return previously purchased red tag clearance beads purchased 2 days earlier. Upon inspection, I found them damaged, junk and of no use. I had the ORIGINAL RECEIPT and The beads were still in its original packaging so back to the store they went for an exchange but as usual item was out of stock. The cashier was unhelpful and uninformed of their store policies. She said she wasn't sure but they do not exchange or refund Red Tag Clearance items even if sold damaged and said that is why they sell it cheaper. After much frustration and 10 minutes of arguing back and forth i decided to leave and take the loss when a cashier who overheard our conversations finally stepped in to help with refund and said indeed they take back any unopened and unused product. 1. Nowhere in the store or the receipt it mentions of the no return/no refund policy on red tag clearance merchandise. Apparently this isn't your policy, but if it was, it should say so for all to see. 2. Michel's management team needs to train employees properly so they have a understanding of their own store policies. Teach proper techniques to solve issues on daily basis to keep customers coming back. 3. Hire people who actually care and enjoy to work there and love dealing with people of all races. This store is great and the store is always clean when I visit with the exception of the bathroom. The three star review is because I ordered online for pick because I received an email promotion this service and I figured why not. Well I placed my order and my card was charged. A couple of minutes later I received and email that said my order was canceled because they did not have the products I ordered, ok fine no big deal. However my card was still charged . So I let a couple of hours pass and then I called the store the manager was super nice and friendly but unfortunately he could not help me. He said to wait until the next day to see if I would be refunded. Ok again no big deal but I ordered Thursday morning and it is now Monday. Now we called corporate and they said it could take up to 15 days . Corporate you are making this review a 3 star review and that's because the employees there saved it from being a 1 star read more

Let's start with a definition of curbside pickup. According the website, they bring it to your car. I called the number when I arrived and was told to come inside to register 5. Odd, but okay. When I asked the person at 5 what to do, she pointed toward a group of people and said over there, so I waited while she finished up with a customer. 10 minutes later, she called the next person in line. I moved to the line and waited for the next person and she said I had to press the button at a not-very-obvious kiosk for online orders next to register 5. WTF? Why didn't anybody say that in the first place? Pressed the button and waited 5 minutes...now I'm 20 minutes in and nothing. I press the button again and there's announcement this time. The "curbside" pickup took close to 30 minutes. Horrid experience...would have been faster to shop in person. I'm never going to this location again...my confidence in Michael's ability to process anything online is in question, so likely not shopping there again. We'll probably drop in from time to time at some other location, but only if I can't find it someplace else. read more

Came in today at this location on 219 Glendale Avenue at 6:39 pm to purchase jolee sticker and a metallic recollections pen. As I reached the counter, I brought out my coupons so I can use them for my sticker and pen. When I showed the sales lady named Carla the coupon that I was gonna use for the sticker, she told me rudely that it is valid starting tomorrow. So I gave her another coupon for the recollection pen that I was trying to get. But she asked me rudely" what are you trying to get". She is talking rudely and making a face on me and angrily kept asking me what I was gonna get. She didn't even noticed the recollection pen on top of the coupon on the punter cause she is very upset and was acting rudely. When I told her and pointed to the pen I was going to purchase on top of the coupon that she didn't see although it was on top of the counter, she said ok. And rung me up and gave me my change. She did not even apologized to me. Not even a single apology. I called the manager Sam and told me that she would take care of the situation. I am very frustrated and very displeased with how I was treated by that saleslady named CARLA. She should not treat any customer like that. Very rude and such a disgrace to Michaels. Ok I don't know from where I should start ... it's true that you can find most of everything that you need with the best possible coupons (thinking that you've bought something with bargain price ) but my biggest concern or I would say my question is towards their IT managers... Wow.... here is the thing, every time that I'm placing my order online, a minute later ( after confirmation email) I'm receiving an email that my order is ready to pickup OMG .... bravo ..... that was fast ... you guys are amazing. But not the next day ( since I'm smart enough) one day later when I'm going to store for pick up, everybody are getting confused , and asking if I received a pickup email cause they simply can't find my order !!!! And these poor employees, who are getting paid for maybe $12 an hour( wow....) are trying hard to find the mysterious order. I'm amazed with the smart system that this store is using to full the costumes. This Michaels has many issues. Top lost is the rude staff. Even the manager had issues with a return that was clearly within policy. Pasadena gave me no questions. They turn off the lights 10-30 minutes before closing and take all sale signs down. For such a large location the selection is fair. For a better experience go to Burbank or Pasadena. read more

Worst Michaels ever!!! Came in for some rhinestones to decorate my cap for graduation and I ask one of the employees if they had any. She said yes and pointed to them.. And lord and be hold there are stacks of rhinestones in different shapes, sizes, and colors... So disappointed in the customer service and policies here. My mom purchased some chocolate wafers on 7/7/16, and when we opened the bag, we realized it was peanut butter. I brought it back on 7/8/16 for her and they said it would have to be returned on the same card as it was purchased. I explained that I only wanted to exchange the flavor for chocolate. I didn't want money back or anything, just an even exchange or store credit so I can purchase the same item in a different flavor. The sales lady said they won't make an exception and proceeded to do a transaction as if I had no receipt, which would give me $1.99 for the $2.99 item I purchased. I had the receipt right in front of her but they don't care. It's not the $1 but the principal! I am so upset at their policies and the fact that I wanted an exchange and nothing more. On top of everything, she was completely rude about it which I always deal with. My poor 73 year old mother had to come down to the store so we could do the exchange. Well, I'll be shopping at Jo-Ann's from now on which is a bit further, but they take Michael's coupons. read more

I have been shopping in this store for years. I live 3 minutes away and used to make a trip here at least once a week. Recently I bought a Christmas tree from this store for my mom but after taking it to her house the following day and realizing it doesn't fit where we intended it to fit I packed it up and put it in my trunk to return. It had been a total of 5 days since I bought the tree and the day I went to return it was a good 3-4 days before thanksgiving. The girl I spoke to when I first walked in to return it was extremely rude and didn't even want to hear my reason for the return. I had to ask for a manager after she wouldn't even look me in the eye when I was speaking to her and accused me of using the tree and returning it. Are u kidding Me??? I bought a tree and used it for 4 days and returned it? Then the manager comes and gives me attitude. I tell her I was not told we cannot return holiday items and her response was "we don't recite our return policy to every customer!" Well f*** you.. Your customers don't read your return policy online every time they come in for a purchase. If u don't return holiday items write it on ur receipt during the holidays or tell your customers when selling a product. Needless to say they returned the tree because I refused to leave the store with it but you guys lost a very loyal customer. I will no longer shop there nor will any of my friends or family. The guy that just helped us with framing was literally the most excited and gracious person I've ever worked with when selecting framing (tall guy long hair up in a bun). He should be praised and given a raise! He loves his job and could probably make people buy stuff that is more than their budget just b/c of his demeanor and graciousness. Don't be surprised if they hang up on you when you call. Also, you're not likely to get any kind of friendly reception when you come in the store. This place is horrible. Every time I come here and ask for help its like pulling teeth. I went in a couple times and anytime I would ask for help on a project I'm working on they would just tell me an aisle to go to no help or anything! When you try to flag someone down they just act like they don't here and disregard helping you. The manager who is there during the day is also very rude. I went to her to address my concerns and she argued back with me, not even addressing the issue. The customer is always right no matter what! I know I was especially right in this scenario. I had waited for 30 minutes for someone to cut a piece of Styrofoam paper for me and ended up not even getting it cut because the one person ahead of me who was being assisted was taking to long. No one asked if they could help me or what was I waiting for. I then had asked the two women, one being the manager if someone can assist me with cutting the Styrofoam for me and she said I would have to wait. I ended up leaving without buying an of the items and or getting the Styrofoam cut. Also to mention when I was talking to the manager and she was arguing with me and having an attitude I asked her who was he boss/ superior and she said their was no way I could talk to her and the only thing I could do is call customer service and file a complaint. This place is horrible, the workers are lazy and impersonal. Nobody approaches you to ask if you need help or anything. And when you do ask for help they act like your crazy. Like do they not know they have a job to do ? lol..... Anyways I will never return here again and will be giving my business to another arts and crafts store. read more

I was very unhappy with the help at this Michael's location in Glendale. During my visit, I was never acknowledged. I can understand the chaos in the store because of the holidays, however there was one particular incident with an associate who did not look at me or give me the time of day. I was trying to ask an older associate if some Hello Kitty stickers were included in the 40% off section because the Hello Kitty stamps were indeed 40% off. The associate did not even look at me, continued fixing the artificial flowers, and said, "I don't know about any stickers." I had to raise my voice at that point and said, "Well is there anyone here who can help me?" The associate again not looking at me said simply, "Cashier." I haven't been treated like this by any associate in any store! When it was time to pay, I asked the cashier if the stickers were also 40% off and she quickly said, "No." Overall, I was VERY unhappy with the ATTITUDE by the staff here at the Michael's in Glendale.
