Couldn't be happier with the customer service and the experiences I've had here. This place is big and little kid-friendly!

Been here on a few occasions & was met with ZERO help. I even called here the other day to check if they had a card which I later found out they actually did have in stock. Which was a $250 I was willing to buy at price & when I called to check if they still had it, I was told "no I can't check for you.. there are too many cards in the display" I'm sorry what are you doing with your lazy self in a lonesome card shop in which I've never seen more than 2 customers in. Just lazy, incompetent and ill informed employees. Do better. This is such a stark contrast to this companies other shop on Olive in Burbank where the staff has been beyond friendly, helpful & informative. Sad to say, I wouldn't bother myself going back here unless there is significant change in service

I've been coming here ever since my dad and I started getting back into collecting Pokémon cards, and it has quickly become our go-to shop. The atmosphere here is always fantastic, but what really makes this place top-tier is the staff. A massive shoutout to Daniel, Marvin, and Luis! They are always incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and have been so genuinely helpful whenever we come in to handle sales or figure out trades. They always shoot straight and treat us fairly, which is something you really appreciate when navigating the hobby. Beyond just the great customer service, we've had some insane luck here. The absolute highlight was when my dad actually pulled a MEGA DREAM god pack from a purchase we made at this location! We were absolutely losing our minds. It's unforgettable memories like that which make collecting together so much fun, and I'm so glad it happened with product from our favorite local spot. Whether you're a seasoned collector looking to make some big trades or just getting back into it like my dad and I, I cannot recommend LA Sports Cards enough. Best shop in the area!

This one is on the second floor of a two-story commercial building. Not sure if there's parking in the back, so I just park out front off of Glenoaks. Stairs are on the side of the building. Inside is nice, tidy and neatly organized. Not too much singles for sale, especially for baseball, and most of it is Pokemon cards. But they have a nice selection of boxed sports cards for reasonable prices. Bought a 2023 Topps Baseball Chrome Logofractor box and pulled an absolute monster of a card (see pic). This spot was good luck for me! Thanks bros!

The selection for both is not stellar but they are all in excellent condition. The good condition of books might be due to their strict "no reading" policy. I understand that they don't want people pulling a Barnes & Noble by reading books for free. However, I wish I could just look at the first page before buying, so I 100% have to go by online reviews. What keeps this at 4 stars for me is the warm reception I get every time I enter the store and the friendliness at checkout.

We walked down the street from my house to another local game store and discovered that they were charging $75 for a box. Why? Because they could. I was outraged and decided to do a quick Google search for other stores in the area. That's when I found Crown City, and I am so happy we did. Upon entering, I was very impressed by how calm and laid-back the store was. They had a variety of almost everything I would expect from a game store: Pokémon, Warhammer, Magic, board games, etc. Everything around the store was well organized and nicely displayed. We were helped by an incredibly friendly and helpful employee (her name might have been Charlie?). The first thing my partner noted was that she felt safe and welcomed in the store, which I thought was especially great. The best part of it all? The same Pre-Release Box was being sold for a fair price of $35! We opened our boxes and got 3 hits from the set! The employees were so nice and gave us sleeves and card protectors - no questions asked! We had such a great experience here that we will now actively try to support this specific store. It's clear that Crown City cares about creating a welcoming environment for its customers, and we're happy to have found a local game store that we can feel good about supporting.

After finishing up, we went back to quickly check it out. We went through the front door and then followed a sign that lead to another door with a set of stairs leading to the bottom of the building. On our way down we saw banners on the wall, a bulletin board at the bottom, and a choice to go left or right. We veered to the right and found gaming tables and shelves and tables filled with games to buy. They had three 3D printers running and other gaming tables located on the other side of the store and game figures/models and paints as well as a restroom, shelf full of snacks, and cashier counter were their trading cards were for purchase. I ended up buying a game I saw on TikTok and had checked the price on Amazon to see if it would be cheaper, but it was actually the same price in store as online. Nick helped ring me up and informed me that they had game board nights on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm where people bring their own games and have had about 20 people show up for their last one. They are thinking of expanding to have more game nights take place on Sunday and have been open for 7 months now. Excited to come back and hopefully to snag some Pokémon cards when they are in stock.
