Steve Aoki (famous DJ), DJ Skee and Dan Fleyshman opened a physical card shop called Cards and Coffee in October 2020 and it is located approximately one mile away from Dolby Theatre. [Parking]: Street parking only and I had to circle around the block few times. Luckily I found a metered parking spot a block away from the shop. [Shop]: A fairly small venue. There's a human robot and you can use the touch screen to interact. I pushed several buttons and all the robot did was playing some Chinese music within the database. Personally the most interesting thing here is probably instagramable mural painted on the wall. For displaying cases I will say it is mostly 80% graded sports cards and 20% graded Pokémon cards. There were few boxes with very limited $1 selection of modern sports and miscellaneous Pokémon & Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. I was slightly disappointed to see any super interesting cards and VeeFriends cards (created by Gary Vaynerchuk) were meh. Not exactly a must visit sports card shop and I wouldn't drive out of the way to come here. P.S. - Please do no use the Google address for The Coffee Breakers. Trust the address listed on Yelp.

Bulk PSA submission .. yeah that's Carnage and Kraven.

Key and the team at CandC were amazing, they helped me with a bulk PSA submission, not only did they help me narrow down, check current price and do a quick pre grade , they educated me on the grading process. I would definitely recommended this place and I'll definitely go back.

Got back to my car to see how much they go for NOT on Hollywood Blvd. AN ENTIRE BOX GOES FOR LESS THAN $25.

No class. Got caught ripping me off charging 7x what the price the pack was actually worth. I expected double because of their location, but 7x the price!! I went back in assuming he made a mistake. Then the employee doubled down on his greed. My bad for trusting them, but damn. You get caught making a mistake, you own it. Standing by taking advantage of an old guy just wanting to buy a pack of cards is just wrong on so many levels. Unless there's a gun to your head, give your money to someone who isn't trying to rip off someone who doesn't know as much as he does. Just sad.

I have been to this business two times in the last month and both experiences have been pleasant. On my second visit I bought a battle style Pokémon box for $60 and they gave me a free Japanese booster pack! Awesome people!!

Minimal selection of cards. Nothing special. The guys that work there are very nice but the products were average.

I dropped in to buy a present for my little friend Odin S.'s seventh birthday and immediately got what I needed. I am a 38-year-old mom with one salient common interest with many young children: I've played Pokémon GO since 2016, when most of the kids I know were not yet alive. I am a daily player, and even own a Pokémon GO Plus +, an autocatcher in the shape of a Poké Ball. My own children have shown great interest in this device, which I keep telling them is definitely not a toy. The adults in my life are unimpressed by my Pokémon prowess, but I've gotten pretty good mileage showing my CP4234 Mewtwo and various shinies to Odin. He has, in turn, told me all about the card game and general Pokémon lore. I got him a bunch of Pokémon cards for his sixth birthday, and the gift was enough of a hit that I decided to buy him more. I found Turn Zero on Yelp and called ahead to make sure they had Pokémon cards in stock. They did, and the guy on the phone gave me a full rundown of what they had available. While they weren't selling individual packs, they did have sets that sounded like they'd make great presents. The shop is in that huge Koreatown strip mall with the My Gym and El Pollo Loco, where I've found that parking is usually easy. I didn't explore much, but it looked like it was about the size of a corner store, and it was well stocked with game-related inventory. Lots of games, of course, plus accessories, books, figurines, etc. The guy I talked to on the phone was there behind the counter. He was nice and helpful and hooked me up with a handsome box of Pokémon cards. Odin was really happy with his gift. Given my own tendencies (I enjoyed plenty of manga in my youth, and while I never played Magic the Gathering, I got really into Hearthstone for a while), I think it's somewhat likely that my sons will be little gamers. I have a feeling I'll be back to Turn Zero Games.

This place is smaller than the similar gaming stores I've been inside, but it was nice to see some…read moreof the tables being used and people playing while we were there. They have a really big selection for Magic, but not much outside of that, which is what I was hoping for. I guess I was just in the wrong type of store. Everyone that was in the store, including the employee, didn't say anything, but gave us weird looks for being there. I'm not really sure why. There shouldn't be anything wrong with outsiders just checking the store out.

I'm a private Pokémon card collector that has never ventured into the world of buy/sell/trade, so I decided I'd call a few shops in the area to see what they'd recommend, and this is exactly how this conversation went. Guy answers phone, i asked him if he had a minute to answer a couple questions i had. "i mean i have a few people I'm helping right now but yeah sure" I proceed to explain that i was looking for guidance or advice on how to offload my extensive Pokémon card collection as I'm moving out of the area, and i was wondering if they had a buyer or something of the sort that would sit down with me and run through it to see what they're willing to buy, etc. He responds, "oookay. Are you planning on paying someone for that?" Confused, i asked what he meant? "Basically what I'm getting at is no, we don't do that. I have a guy here that's really knowledgeable about that kinda stuff but i wouldn't wanna waste his time" I thanked him for his "candid" (read: completely rude) response and that i would look elsewhere. Needless to say I'll never step foot here again.

There's a large variety of sealed product, too. The staff (Nathan, Daniel, E.J., Marvin, etc.) are super-friendly, knowledgeable, and relaxed. Plus if I want to sell/trade cards, it can be done very quickly - no entering your name into a computer then waiting 20 minutes for somebody to look at your stuff. The percentages paid are generous and fair. Finally, they have extended hours so it's convenient to swing by after work or at night to score the items you want. The Glendale location is mainly manned by Sam and he is great to deal with on all levels. The selection is pretty good meaning the showcases are well-stocked. While there is no buyer in Glendale to sell your cards to, the Burbank location is close-by anyway. I have recently had a plethora of satisfying transactions at both L A Sports Cards shops and they have definitely earned my loyalty. Highly recommended!
