Nicole and her shift supervisor or manager were so kind! We got confused with the poster frame sales they were having and they we so helpful! Incredibly nice and understanding, I absolutely love coming to this Michael's. Thank you again for all your help! read more

This Michael's is a bit older and, as such, is a bit smaller than a majority of other Michaels. However, just because it's smaller in size does not mean that it is skimping in the availability of products. You can still get your knitting, scrapbooking, floral arrangements, craft storage, and candy. Staff has always been patient, and I've never encountered any real issues. Definitely go onto michaels.com on your Smartphone (if you have one) to utilize coupons every time you're here. Granted, you typically won't be able to use most of the coupons unless you're purchasing a full-price item, but it's awesome that Michael's even allows digital coupons. I can get my main items from this Michael's. The only thing that kind of bugs me is just that there is no real line that you can distinguish when you want to pay for your items. There are around 4 or so registers, but no lights are turned on, so you don't know which register is available, and the store is too small towards the front where they have barriers to tell you where to stand in line. Small detail that they really wouldn't be able to modify, but I can see how new customers would get a little annoyed. During Christmas season (especially Black Friday!), they do have someone guiding the customers to a specific cashier, so that's reasonable. Would be back in case I need something again. read more

2 stars because they carry craft stuff and they are local but aside from that the way this store works has been completely disappointing , if they mess up a shipping order they waste your time, make you deal with it , make you go to the post office or catch the driver and I scheduled a same day store pick up they emailed me that it was processing and closed the store without calling me or giving me a heads up that it wasn't going to work out even tho I ordered early in the afternoon before and they close at 6/7 so unprofessional I give up on this location read more

This location can get crowded and parking can suck. And some times people can be grouchy, clerks included. But you can't beat the deals. Just went today and all fall was 80% off. Made these awesome wreaths for about $18 total as today's deal was 60% off Xmas mesh too. Can't beat that with a stick. The area in general had seen better days but I also think it's seen worse. The store can get messy and has very narrow aisles and I imagine folks in wheel chairs find it hard to get around, especially during this time of year with Xmas goods overrunning the store. Overall I like that it's close but if I feel like making the drive I'll go to Buena Park. read more

I am writing to let you know how accommodating the framing dept. was for me. I found out, LAST MINUTE, that the O.C. Fair had accepted my photos for display! HOWEVER, they needed to be turned in by 12 noon on the next day! After picking up my photos at Costco, Ryan was VERY helpful. It didn't occur to me to use a ready made frame. Custom takes up to a week!. So, he helped me pick out the ones that would work best. Sooo, Ryan helped me pick out two frames, made notes (the fair frame criteria is STRICT), AND had it done for me in under two hours. With that said, it could not have happened if Emily couldn't get it in before she left in an hour. She told Ryan if he covered the order desk, she would be able to help . Well, gratefully, I was able to pick them up AND make the deadline! I know not to expect that everytime, but it was just nice for them to understand how important this was to me. read more

Emily in the framing department is a rockstar! She was lovely to work with, was very patient and took her time to create 6 custom framed peices for me. She has a great eye, and attention to detail. I am so pleased with alll of my orders AND I got them on a ridiculous sale. A+ experience all around! read more

This may be one of the worst stores that I have ever been in. The place is a mess. No pride of ownership at all. The staff is either incompetent or lazy. Help yourself or figure out on your own because no one is going to assist you. The lines are ridiculous. It is doubly insulting to wait to be mistreated. All of the workers are rude--including the manager. I purchased a mission kit at the Michael's in La Habra. Thereafter, I was told that mission kits were not acceptable for a school project. On my way to work, I decided to return the kit at this location. This was a decision that I would live to regret. I looked around the store for a few minutes to find some items to make baskets. The sales floor was a mess and completely unorganized. I searched to find someone to help but alas no one came. Fine. I will just return my merchandise and go. When I told the young lady that I wanted to return an item, she became highly upset bordering on livid. She snatched the bag from me and told me that I needed to be put into the system since I did not have a receipt. When I objected because I did have a receipt, she told me to shut up and let her do her job. I immediately asked to speak to a manager. Moments later another ray of sunshine appeared. I attempted to explain the situation but I was told that it was my fault for not having a receipt. Of course I did have a receipt, but no one seemed to care. Finally, the young lady passed me a piece of paper for store credit. I explained that I wanted cash because I paid in cash. I handed her my sales receipt. The sales lady snatched the sales credit slip and voided the transaction. This one hour endeavor finally ended with my solemn promise to never enter those doors again. read more

I work a lot with kids so I am constantly making crafts and this is my go-to place when I am in need of supplies. It's not the cheapest depending on what exactly you're looking for, but if you shop there alot, they always give you a 40% off coupon for next time, and the RetailMeNot app pretty much always has great digital coupons you can use. Certain supplies can be better and cheaper online such as Amazon. I make a lot of crafts with Perler Beads but Michael's only has a few colors to choose from, but Amazon has every color you would need. read more

"Back-up cashier needed." The above sentence is what I dream of hearing upon each and every trip to Michael's. Have I ever heard it? NOPE! It's almost as if speed and quality customer service is against company policy or something. I enjoy the stores offerings. But if I need a crafty type item and can get it at a store like Target, Target wins my business every time. **And this goes for ALL Michael's stores. Certainly not just the Fullerton store is guilty of this. read more

I love Michaels. I can live in Michaels. This place is my second home. So it pains me a whole bunch that the closest one to me is a POS!! I try to go to the Buena Park one as much as possible, but sometimes I need something..this place is just dirty. It's messy, things are on the floor, nothing is organized, it's smaller, it's just terrible. Even though it's my happy place, this particular one gets me depressed. Guh. They need to clean it up and brighten it up!!!! What the heck! read more

I stopped by this Michael's yesterday to utilize my 25% off entire purchase coupon. It was a one-day sale from noon until 4pm! I had to act fast. I knew more or less what I needed, but had no idea where to find it. This location is small enough and not overwhelmingly busy with people. However, this store isn't overwhelming populated with employees either. Tips: If you have questions, divide and conquer my friends, divide and conquer. It took my dad, mom, and me several minutes to find help after splitting up in different directions. Be careful walking in the frames section!! My poor daddy walked by a frame (he thinks) and ended up with a cut bleeding finger. No one was around to address this, apologize, or offer a Band-Aid assuming they have Band-Aids or a first aid kit. Not a big deal in our situation but would anyone be around if something more serious happened in the store? Who knows. Like other reviews point out, there was only one cashier until the line started growing. The employee who we had previously tracked down for questions opened another register and helped me purchase my items with coupons. Pro tips: - Pull up the in-store coupons while waiting in line from your smartphone or print them out beforehand from home. I get their ad weekly and coupons are also there. Every single week there is a 40% off one item coupon. Coupons rule! - Check out the clearance/sales area!! You never know what you may find there at huge discounts. Arts & Crafts can be an expensive hobby, but I refuse to pay full price. Advice for store manager: Hire more employees or increase number of staff on weekends read more

I thought the Michaels by my place was bad... This one's worse. :( Their employees are even less helpful than the HB one and their store is a mess. The HB one has gotten a lot better at organizing their items. Anywho, I stopped by here the other day since their scrapbooking items were on sale. Nothing special about this store; all of the Michaels carries the same stuff anywa - I just happened to be in the area. The aisles were a bit cluttered and tight. Because of the many people there, I found it hard to walk around without having to excuse myself. Maybe it was just that day though; most Michaels often gets crowded when they have those 20-25% off purchase coupons. Though there are more cashiers here, I didn't like their lines. HB Michaels has 1 line wherein the cashiers call you up one by one as they are ready to take the next person. Here, it's a free-for-all and because there's so little space to even form a line, a lot of people ended up "cutting" which just made things slower. Eh. Not my favorite by far, but Michaels is a Michaels and if I really need something and am in the area, I will stop for a quick pick up. read more

Dont even BOTHER coming here. Im a Loyal Michael's customer but theres something about this location thats totally uninspires me. First off this place is GHETTO (excuse my french). The strip mall its in feels SO unsafe. Its SO dirty in here and dinky.. Inside the store and out. The employees are RUDE. Like theyre busy! Duh! Just do yourself a favor and drive down la palma instead and go to the one in buena park. read more

I have came into this store for many occasions how ever today I had the worst experience. I just cant believe that at this point people still Act the way they do. I was waiting in line and heard how nice and cheerful the cashier was with the people in-front of me who happened to be white females how ever when I got to the front and asked for my mobile order she was really rude and was talking to me as if I did not understand english. When I expressed to her that I did not appreciate the way she was talking to me she just stared at me and rudely said , " sorry for being rude" in a rude tone of voice . She was not wearing a name tag and when I asked she paused and said Bella. I have worked in costumer service as well and regardless I treat every one the same . read more

Prepare to waste your time waiting in line. I went here on a rather "off-peak" time with not many customers. Still took at least 10 minutes to ring me up. Even during regular business hours they seem to be short staffed. Unless you are in a dire need for something special from a craft store-- you still shouldn't go here lol I only like the late store hours that go up to 11pm and the 50% off coupons they're always putting up online. They need self checkout. read more

I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed in the lack of customer service at this location. Not sure if it was just the wrong time to come in or what.... I needed help locating a few things and was on a lunch break i figured i run inside and get someone to help me NOPE i walked in and found myself running all over the place the guy at the register couldn't help me bc he had to stay where he was at so he was just telling me where to go but it was more like "that aisle then it should be like two more aisles???? Um ok i have no idea where your directing me but ok??the i asked him if he Can just have someone help me he said "No, there's nobody on the floor to help you their all in a meeting"???? So it's a Friday night around 530pm And nobody can help me??? I wanted to walk out real quick but i needed to at least try and find it myself so you know what i did i went on the website of Michael's And it directed me to the exact aisle it took my entire lunch to locate and purchase but I'm got what i needed I probably will not shop here again. read more

Why are the ratings so low? It's a great shop! I've visited the Michael's within Buena Park and I always prefer the Fullerton location! Their service isn't always the best, but it's not terrible. They always answer my questions or guide me to the section I'm looking for. I LOVE coming here during the holidays because they have AWESOME decorations. They pretty much have sales every week. If you have your phone on you while at the store, pull up their "40% off one item" coupon. They have it available every week! I've taken Wilton cake classes here before and they were pretty fun. The only complaint I have is that I never received my certificate for my first session and I never got a call. Random, but their frame section smells funky. (lol) They usually have a whole aisle dedicated to the clearance/sales section, which is pretty neat. Their floral arrangement department is pretty big and they will make special arrangements as well as long as it's done with enough of a notice. read more

You all know Michael's. This one is the usual. Pretty much everything you need for basic crafting and decent prices. When I go in a Michael's, I usually wander up and down every aisle except the framing section because I tend to mix crafts together. So I've seen a lot of displays and layouts. They usually make sense, but this one seemed a little... thrown together. Understandably, it could be because it's a bit smaller than most locations. That also means the aisles are pretty cramped. My cart ran over a few things laying around the floor. I got a rude response when I asked an employee where I could find a specific item. Of course, it didn't make sense where it was located. BUT, I finally got a friendly cashier! They're usually so grumpy at Michael's! That cashier got this review an extra star. Overall, I would say go to another Michael's if it's not too much trouble. But this one will do... as long as you're not claustrophobic. read more

The worst experience I ever have. I had one item need to return for exchange, but the cashier insists they can't accept it since it was open and unable to resale it. And I tried to asked her why your policy is quite different than most of the stores, she didn't answered it. After that I check with the other two stores near by, both of them mentioned no problem to return it. Not sure why the cashier handle the return policy in different way ~ very frustrated! Other than the cashier, most of the staffs are very friendly and helpful. read more

This place is understandably cluttered and has a lot of knickknack crap because it is an Arts & Crafts store, so I can't really hold that against them. What I am unimpressed with is the 1980's look/feel/smell that this store has, and just to go buy a picture frame the other day I almost got lost in here. The shelving is like 40 feet high, and there is fake plants and streamers and bins of $1 rubber stamps, and stacks of stickers and old movie posters that are piled so high, you almost get lost. I had to reverse navigate past the yarn and glue sticks, around the unpainted scary ceramic figures, and back out past the glitter pens and scrapbooks to find the exit! It was a close call.... read more

The customer service at this store is TERRIBLE. There are never employees out on the floor to answer questions. I walked around looking for an employee because I couldn't find origami paper (even though the app said it was in stock on aisle 28). I couldn't find anyone. I finally went to the cash registers where there were two cashiers and a long line of people waiting. I asked one of the cashiers about the origami paper, and she replied, in Avery rude and irritated tone, "We don't carry that anymore." I told her that the app said it was in stock and she said, "Well, the app isn't always right!" This is not the first time I've been spoken to rudely at this store, and it's nearly impossible to ever find someone who is available to answer questions, therefore I'll be going to Hobby Lobby from now on. read more

I've been coming to this Michaels for years but the last few times I've been it's really been bad. Not enough cashiers, the line is always 5 to 10 people deep. Today there was one cashier and eight people in line at 12 noon! The Scrapbook area is always a mess and under stocked, today was the worst I've ever seen it. I felt like I was shopping at a Ross store or Walmart. I don't know what's going on with the store, but somebody has to address this issue! read more

This Michaels location is right down the street from where I work so I go almost once a week on my lunch breaks. Although it is a smaller/older location, it is always very clean and organized. She is super kind and always takes the time to help me find what I'm looking for. Highly recommend this location for all who love to decorate for the holidays and make crafts often! read more

With most stores being closed and having to do online /pick up. This was by far one of the best experiences I've had with getting my items. I have had bad experiences with other stores such as Joanns. My Order was ready in a day here, and a week at Joanns. I had an issue looking for an item at other different Michaels store and one had said that the Michaels in La Habra had 3 in stock. We arrived and nothing was there. I don't normally write reviews. I read them. But, I have to let my fellow readers of reviews know that at this Michael's there's a florist name Thu. I didn't even know they had florists! Now Thu is a godsend!!! I'm getting married and had this great idea to make my centerpieces out of the flowers that had gone on sale at Michael's (I'm getting married close to Mother's Day and every regular florist wanted to charge me an arm and leg!) It's now crunch time and happened to come across Thu. I gave her an example of the centerpiece I had made (and gave her the flowers I had leftover) & had her make the centerpiece for my sweetheart table. The centerpieces she made completely shit on mine! Lol. She did a GREAT JOB on my sweetheart table design!!! Plus, she had what I needed ready in just a couple days. read more

My mother in law went to get some yarn for me that was advertised to be on sale and (1) it wasn't, (2) one of the employees was rude and seemed bothered when she asked for help looking for a specific type/color of yarn, and (3) the yarn shelf itself looked like a tornado had torn through everything. The yarn was unraveled, missing labels, and in overall shambles. read more

It must be a Michael's thing when it comes to customer service! Granted that now it only cost me about 235.00, I still spent quite a bit. This guy didn't need to give attitude just like I didn't have to spend my money at this particular Michaels. I came to michaels the other day to look for decor for my bridal shower. What ever happened to customer service????, she could have just said Im sorry I cant give you the code but let me open the door for you. It left a sour taste in my mouth.
