I went into the store today to pick up some fall decor items. It's a lovey store and I got most of what I wanted. I stood on the line patiently to check out. Once it was my turn, the cashier said that the only bag to fit my items was the $3 reusable bag, which was fine. I walked over to pick out the bag, less than 30 seconds in she is yelling out to me to "hurry up as customers are waiting." I am also a customer. This tone is unacceptable when speaking to paying customers. Michaels need to invest in better customer training. In this day, we have shopping options, especially with online shopping. Don't want to interact with customers, get a back office job! This was a down moment in a rather lovely day. read more

I went to Michael's to get some yarn for a project. I picked up 6 spools of yarn and waited in line. I was waiting and waiting and waiting until I FINALLY got to the register. The cashier (whose name I didn't get) was rang me up and gave me a coupon for my purchases which decreased the total I needed to pay. Yayyyy!!!! But nooo!! because all of a sudden she walks off the register and asked the coworker next to her to finish ringing me up, all while he called for the next customer to his register. So, I was standing there looking silly, with my debit card in hand, yarn in bag and no one at the register. The co worker finished ringing me up and I told him how unprofessional it was to walk off the register while tending to someone. I had high hopes for this location, but your customer service sucks. read more

I go to this store all the time and I always dread it. Sometimes they have what I'm looking for sometimes they're sold out, but it's always hot as hell. I've talked to the employees and they told me someone at the Michaels head quarters controls the temperature of all the stores. This HQ must be somewhere that's not as effected by global warming because I am always sweating in this store. I also allocate 20 minutes to wait on line even if there's only one person ahead of me. I'm shocked when I can get in and out of this store within an hour. read more

Very rude staff. On the website it site what I was looking for was in stock and they say oh no we do not control that and it A clearance item and that we put Clarence off the floor and that we don't know when it's gonna come back out and we can't go look through it and we can't go get what you want. The staff was also all in middle of the floor talking about there personal life and swearing. They are very unprofessional and the worst Michels I've ever been into you I will never go back. The store needs a reality check and they need to be shut down. read more

I went to Michael's to frame three posters. The guy helping out was super cool, nice and helpful.

Lines were longer than I've ever seen them but they only opened three registers. Meanwhile there were employees walking around. Took forever. read more

I spent $225 getting two things framed. Not only was their price not competitive, but they returned the pictures with no wires on the backs. I literally wasn't able to hang the pictures. I returned them and was informed that Michaels doesn't do that. How the hell is this custom framing? Frankly I'm disgusted. I will never go back. read more

Although they have almost all your party needs, their line to cash out is ridiculous. Never enough cashiers and lines are always wrapped around. There has not been one time I've came into this store and it was a short wait to cash out. I did a order online to pickup in-store and you'd think they would have someone specifically to handle these orders but no, I had to stand on this line and wait for items I already purchased and paid for. A better system has to be set out here. read more

pretty much every thing is marked as the wrong price here. employees are not helpful and things are either opened or in the wrong place.

I counted 77 people on line while I was in minute 25 of my wait to buy some stuff for my daughter's class party. There were 3 registers open. All told it took 47 minutes in line -- and the cashier forgot to scan my 40% off coupon! Prices were better on Oriental Trading Company, Amazon, and my local dollar store...which is where I'll go from now on. read more

I was there to have something framed that I had been putting off for a long time because I was dreading what to do with the piece, Kabin was so knowledgeable and walked me through my choices with ease. Alright after coming here for awhile I realize that the selection they have is ok but compared to the ones in the city this one doesn't have much of what I'm looking for. Their selections are ok but their customer service is horrendous. I say this because they're very short staffed. If you're on the second floor and need some help, you'll have to go all the way down to the first floor to actually find an employee. Most of the time, employees are downstairs. Coming here often I also learned that no matter how long the line is, they still won't add one more employee to the register even if the line stretches all the way to the back. One time I experienced this and customers got so aggravated that they eventually just gave up, put their stuff down and left. read more

Horrible experience. The night manager Cameron is the worst. Should not have a position in which she knows no laws of nor understands customer service. I tried to return craft sticks that I purchased in a small bulk for my business. It's the holiday weekend and my staff needed some supplies. I purchased this morning at the NYC 6th ave location but accidentally got the wrong size. Traveled to brooklyn to get the right size craft sticks which I also needed in bulk. I entered with a a reusable bag (I don't use plastic) and went upstairs... needed to use the bathroom, asked an associate who entered in the password for me and afterwards, got my products, asked another associate if I can make a return without a receipt of if I should go to my car and grab it quickly before waiting on line. He said if I had the card, it's fine. I went downstairs to make the return & the manager told me "I'm not going to lie, this looks suspicious. And I'm not going to do the return cause I have to check the cameras. A customer actually said they witnessed something suspicious" I remained calmed although I felt extremely uncomfortable. I knew I did nothing wrong so I waited for her to look dumb. I also knew it had nothing to do with a customer because I overheard them talking on their ear pieces about me.. in front of me. How unprofessional. The cashier who was told not to help me until the cameras were checked told me "we had a lot of people arrested today. " was that a threat? Cameron later came down & said "yeah it's fine, customer didn't know what she was saying" ... like excuse me? You judged and discriminated & instead of apologizing you put the blame on your customers... who support your store... Cameron is extremely rude and unprofessional- very "ghetto" and has no idea how to talk or be customer oriented. You can't accuse people of stealing without proof. You also are lucky it was me and not someone else with a bigger mouth. I understand that people may steal, but don't accuse without proof. I just wanted to make a simple exchange. read more

This is still considered a new store. It's not bad but it's not the best. Went through a situation recently with having a piece framed. In the end the work was amazing but the headache was absolutely not worth it. The manager gave me an additional credit which was the right thing to do. I only wish they took initiative to resolve the issue without me having to bitch, moan and complain to get it done. I would use the, again but I proceed with caution. read more

This Michaels location has the worst customer service. You can never find anyone in the aisles to help look for anything. Also the app shows things are available but in store they can never find the items. They also don't allow customers to use two separate coupons, on two separate purchases. I have a personal business and I am a teacher so some purchases are personal and some are business. Which means I need separate receipts. I tried to use two different coupons. One for 40% off my business purchase and one for 50% off a personal purchase. They wouldn't allow it. I even went as far as to stand on line again and pay with one purchase I. Cash and they still wouldn't allow me to use a coupon, their excuse, I already used one today. Makes no sense. Any other Michaels location would allow it. They don't even honor a teacher discount along with another coupon. ALL OTHER MICHAELS LOCATIONS ALLOW IT. Here they are rude and lack customer service. If I didn't need these items so badly, I would have left them right there. I'll be using AMAZON for all other craft supplies from now on. read more

The customer service at this place is terrible. I called them on the phone to ask about their current stock of white Tshirts (for printing on). Instead of simply getting up and checking for me, the man abruptly told me to check online for their current items in stock. I did, and saw plenty white shirts of all sizes in stock. Then i walked 1.5 miles to the store. When I went to the right aisle I was surprised to see that there wasn't a single white shirt there. A wall full of empty boxes. When I finally found someone to talk to, the woman gave me rude, short responses. She told me all of the white shirts had been stolen, and are rarely in stock because every time the store gets the shirts they are all stolen. And that the website doesn't reflect this. What kind of bullshit is that? She told me this without an ounce of emotion as if it was perfectly normal, and then, as I was trying to comprehend what she had told me, she walked away and I was unable to find her again. You'd think if the store was really experiencing some kind of "t shirt bandit" A. They'd fucking do something about it, and B. the guy on the phone might have thought to tell me about it when i asked for the EXACT item that always gets stolen. Bullshit store. read more
