We ended up walking thru the store and finding all kinds of interesting beads. One daughter came to me to show me these magnetic beads and my other daughter at the same time brought me a magnetic bracelet and we all looked at each other intrigued with the possibilities. We asked Lydia the owner about the bracelet and offered for us to make it in the store. Lydia took both girls ages 8 & 9 years old thru the steps and the girls spent an hour and a half or a little more figuring out the beads they wanted to use, pattern and colors and actually beading the wire. Lydia was great. Very passionate and knowledgeable. Overall we were there over 2 hours between walking the store and picking and making our bracelets. Now fast forward and we just celebrated our daughter's 10th birthday and all 14 girls enjoyed themselves. They can't wait to go to school and show off their bracelets! Lydia and her assistant Lynn were great. Overall it went well and the parents were raving at the quality and beauty of the girls bracelets. We will be back to learn how to make other bracelet styles. Michaels has a free rewards program and it is fast and easy to enroll, can earn on all eligible purchases, enjoy exclusive deals and receive early alerts for sales. I had received a $5.00 rewards voucher valid in store and online. I browsed products online and redeemed the voucher for a few items. I chose the in-store pick up option. When the order was ready for pickup, I received an email. On Tuesday morning, I headed into the store. Right by the cash registers, there was a huge Order Pickup sign and shelves with brown bags and names. I was able to locate my name easily. Of course, since I was already in the store, I walked around as well. I could spend hours browsing the store. All the aisles were fully stocked, labeled, and organized. I found some items on clearance and some other good finds. The cashier informed me that clearance sales are considered final and are not refundable for a refund or exchange. The other day I made a booboo while checking out and they were calm and pleasant when they had to re-ring up my whole stack of quarter yards - no eye rolling, just a deep breath and a wide smile. I was "having a day" and they couldn't have been more helpful. My latest find is their skeins of Queensland cotton worsted - the colors make my potholders sing and it has a great hand feel.
