The location on Rte 9 (in the Sherwood Plaza) replaces the store that was across the street in the old Shopper's World Plaza, this is a huge location that is organized well and stocked full of goods (just like all of their stores). A huge selection of Hallmark cards - of course - as well as gifts for all of the sports fans in your life (Boston sports only, obviously!). They have a big selection of Vera Bradley bags/accessories, including the fabulous winter collection of Snoopy (see attached pic) items. Three employees were at the register when I arrived on Sunday May 24th around noon: Basil (great name!), another guy and a young woman (brownish hair, a little below the shoulders with NO personality at all). Very friendly Basil went to the back to get my dish towel while Ms. No Personality scowled about needing my ID because telling my name and exactly what I was picking up was not enough. That is fine (note that I also offered to show Friendly Basil the bar code for pick-up from my email, but he probably had gotten my order ready because he knew all about it), but when I pulled out my license I noticed that she barely looked at it...... it's as if she just wanted to be aggravating for a moment. Well, she was. Here is an idea for her (and the store manager): "may I please see your ID" would be a REALLY polite thing to say! My cart had a huge storage ottoman and a mirror - initially he offered to disarm the system that locks carts. So they can't go out the door - that was fantastic alone . I asked if I could pull my car up and he waited patiently keeping an eye on my cart and as I went to grab my ottomsn he said he would go ahead and get it in my car . I feel terrible that I can not recall his name but in a world of seemingly all retail workers being rude recently this man is a standout . He was so incredibly kind and helpful and I hope on future visits he will be there up front again. So incredibly grateful for this- I have relayed the incredible customer service to multiple friends and family . 100% will be back soon mostly because of the service I got from this young man. He needs a raise!

So. Rewind to October (okay, maybe September; I like to get my Halloween shopping started early) of last year and I'd just hit up Spirit in Medford. For the first time, I bought a glowing window hanging thing--a cheapo poster that magically illuminates when you shine a light behind it, showcasing creepy hauntings to passersby on the street. I got the Jason with chainsaw one in Medford, but knew I should have more. Hence my trip out to Natick. Sadly, this location had very few decorations(or pet costumes, the second reason for my visit). However, if you need a (human) costume, this location is for you. Also weird was how I tried to call them the weekend before Halloween to check on stock of an item and the phone rang and rang and rang before going to a generic Verizon voicemail. Huh.

The department store is pet friendly, and they allow dogs in the store!…read more One thing that keeps bothering me about the people at the makeup and skin care department on the first floor, and one of the ladies here loves to judge me and that she looks down upon me whenever I shop at her skin care department (La Meir counter) (judging you as if I can't"afford" their products) while the other one follows me around and comments on everything that I touch. Other than that everything else is really organized and the displays are really nice and people are professional. It's just those two people on the first floor in the skin care and makeup department. All of these things that these two ladies did REALLY made me feel offended and uncomfortable!
