I was very disappointed with my experience. The payout offered for gently used items was so low…read morethat it honestly wasn't worth the time or effort to bring everything in. Stores that buy used items like this just aren't worth it if you're hoping to get a reasonable return. For example, if you paid around $300 for a bassinet that's still in excellent condition, you may only be offered around $20 for it. The store may then resell it for $50 to $75. While I understand these businesses need to make a profit, the amount offered to sellers felt far too low to make it worthwhile. In my opinion, you're better off selling your items yourself through a local marketplace or giving them to a family in need. At least that way you'll either receive a fairer price or know your items are helping someone else. Unfortunately, I won't be selling here again.

They have a good-sized selection of kids books (for a store of its size), so it's a good place to bring the kiddos. While it's right on Main Street in downtown Natick, you might miss it if you're driving, since, although it says Ten Trees Books on the door (window?), the big lettering on the building says "The Hive." The store is still kind of in its early days, I think, with plans to add events and such in the works, according to Kim, it's owner, with whom I've had a couple of very friendly conversations. They do currently host a Classics Book Group on the first Thursday evening of the month, but I'm not sure if they have any other book groups yet. I look forward to watching them grow and hope they're able to thrive....I know it's tough for independent bookstores in this day and age, but I also know that Natick is the kind of town to have the type of people who will try and support it. If you live in, or are visiting, Natick and you like books, I heartily recommend checking it out!

A wicked awesome store, but they became what they railed against. I've been going to Newbury Comics…read moresince '83 when they had the first location on Newbury Street. It was exciting. A place for me. Remember the address? Think of Modern Method Records! When I lived in Natick, I went to this store due to proximity; but whilst in university I frequented The Garage almost daily. Slowly in the 1990s vinyl succumbed to CD. The offerings became less and less. Japanese anime, clothing, and plastic bobble heads became the norm. Virgin and Tower also died a slow cancerous death. Newbury, is like an old friend. Meh. Still a decent store, the spirit is still there even though the Do It Yourself flavor, feeling, and attitude of Let Them Eat Jellybeans is not.

If I had kids this is where I would be choosing for them to get their books. Plenty of CD's, DVDs and Rock and Roll vinyls I purchased upstairs, the guy behind the counter was so nice and talking to other locals with kids digging through the 10/$1 pokemon card bins. Was so friendly with me and informative. Was happy with what I paid. Went downstairs and browsed through the toys, I wasn't to afford a toy I wanted this time around but hoping when I come back I can! I also had a feeling I would find this figurine I missed out many years ago and beat myself up for constantly. Didn't find it this time around but when I go back if it's not so busy I will ask if they've seen. Downside is I had to drive around looking for some street parking since they don't have a lot. It was a busy Saturday, but finally found one. Also the aisles are a little tight, there were some times I felt trapped or couldn't get by people.
