I didn't even know if they could be repaired or would have to be replaced. I was warmly greeted by Lynn, who assured me the window treatments could definitely be repaired and would not need replacement for a long time. She scheduled a repair appointment for next week. No one showed up, and I was left waiting at home with no apparent notice that the appointment would not be kept. I contacted HomeTrends afterward and expressed my frustration about the missed appointment and the time I had wasted. I was initially told they would arrange for someone else to come out. Instead, the owner subsequently told me that it would be better for me to take my business to another blinds company and that they no longer wanted to work with me. That response surprised me. A missed appointment can happen. What mattered more to me was how the company handled it afterward. Rather than apologizing, taking responsibility, and trying to make things right, their solution was essentially to tell the customer to go elsewhere. There are plenty of companies selling and installing window treatments. Based on my experience, I would choose one that is more reliable, respects its customers' time, and makes customers feel that their business is valued. BTW, they did tell me if I wrote a negative review that "I was a bad person". Well, this review is only intended to give you, the consumer, an insight to my experience. I am not sure that constitutes me as being a "bad" person, but again maybe insight to how HomeTrends perceives upset customers verse working out an amendable solution.

I can confirm I've never seen anything quite like this place! This industrial building (which is a 165 year old mill complex) has converted into hallways of boutique shops filled with local businesses and it's truly got something for everyone. I loved walking by and taking a peak in at everything. My favorite was one particular vendor who had crates of vinyls, and a section of $1 vinyls as well as really cool old school art for sale. There's also stores selling second hand clothing, furniture for your home, purses, candles, etc. Such a unique setup and it's all to spread the local love! The mill is only open Friday - Sunday but I'd definitely suggest checking it out. There's plenty of parking as you're driving in as well as a whole parking lot area in the back if you keep driving straight through.

It was so cute, it looked like little section shops with each section having its own unique style. There was soooooo many items I honestly could have left with a lot more but I had to control myself. Great selection of vintage items and some unique pieces. The prices range but still reasonably priced. The young ladies at checkout were so sweet, they loved the custom tapestry Mickey jacket I made and said I should look into selling a few of my pieces.
