Nice. I was just…read moreleaving the Sheraton when I realized I had absolutely nothing to wear to a Halloween party I had been invited to. In addition, when I was at Incontro the night before, one of the valets had kicked out the left matching pair of my flip flops, so I was sporting some nasty blisters from walking around in heels all day. Not to mention the sudden bloat my feet experienced on the plane. I pulled into the Kohl's here, all business, since I was on my way to work. The nice thing about these stores, is that the layout is the same. Be it in MA or CA, I had no problem finding a cute pair of crimson patent ballet flats that were priced around $30 by Natural Sole by Naturalizer. I decided to go as a Japanese school student, since I already had one part of it going. But the tartan plaid skirts here were wayyyyyyyy too short and there was no way I was walking out of the Intercontinental looking like that, since I was staying there later that evening. I decided on a cheesy red plaid romper that I could wear over a white oxford with pigtails. That came out to around $15.00. The sales staff was not too smiley, but I was in no mood for expectations or assumptions. I was out of there in under 30 minutes and ready for the party that night.

This store and their checkout process has gone downhill…read more The store can appear empty but once you go to checkout you wait on an unbelievably long, slow line. They now only have one area for checkout and they also did away with customer service for returns so if you are returning you are stuck on the line. I tried to go on a Monday morning to avoid lines and it was horrible with only 1 register open. I think I am done with this store.

Former LV sales associate here, and sometimes you aren't able to get your hands on certain pieces…read morewhile employed there. I'm not ashamed to admit to purchasing pre loved items now. Found this coin zippy wallet in this blue Epi using the Tradesy app. Wow what a steal I price I got this item for. This piece retails $430 brand new, and this piece I got for $135. The pics on tradesy did not do it justice. The leather had no cracks, and a minor boo boo here and there on the outside but over all this piece is in pretty good condition for being made in 2013. It's 6yrs old plus now. Super happy with the item, the purchase and this company! Thanks for the a smooth transaction and super fast shipping. I'll have to check you guys out again!

Let me get right down to it, Luxury Resale Network is trustworthy and friendly to boot…read more I was nervous to start selling some Chanel pieces online (What if I get ripped off? How can I take a good picture? I don't know if I have time for this...) and when I found LRN I thought I would do some stress outsourcing. LRN does everything for you, from taking gorgeous professional photos to giving you the option of shipping your clothes and accessories to them. Siblings Eric and Andrea are incredibly kind and great at their jobs. They manage their sales on multiple platforms giving the consigner a greater chance of selling and their consigner agreements are very generous. Plus they have been great communicators and available through email for my questions and any updates. I tried to get some quotes from other local consigners and left with some low quotes for classic pieces. Use Luxury Resale Network if you're looking to get fair prices and great service. Thank you Eric and Andrea!!

Stand-by boyfriend…read more Come on girls. Don't act dumb. I know all about that one dude in the corner of your circle of friends that you just can't seem to shrug away and he's always there, lurking. And yet, as the reality of his dependability grows on you, you just can't seem to truly commit yourself, thinking that there is something better around the corner. Better styling. Better utilization of cloth. So you go out and end up spending more at the GAP or Banana Republic. Shoot, sometimes cheating at J. Crew. Old Navy eschews this old tradition by sticking behind Gap. The true wingman. Inexpensive clothing, that at times, is reflected in the way a skirt is missing lining, for example. Or a t-shirt marked down to $5.99 that seems slightly cheaper in fabric. Jeans that are affordable, but at the same time rather basic and not as long lasting. We do Old Navy clothing because it's there. It's dependable. Still cute. And most importantly, affordable. Yeah yeah, the same old story. Since I'm currently in Boston missing a few necessities, I ran over to this location within 15 minutes of closing and was delighted upon entrance. No, wait, ecstatic because I learned that their entire summer section was marked off at 40%! I grabbed three things and proceeded straight to the dressing rooms while the staff were busily preparing for shutting down. 1. A cute pure white shift dress with embroidery around the neckline and back that showcased my newly acquired tanned legs, regularly priced at $29.50 but at 40% off, came to $17.70. 2. A pair of black jersey drawstring pants marked at $14.99 that I needed in order to work out at the hotel. 3. A cute jersey navy t-shirt that has the logo "27" Fort Lauderdale vaguely stamped and on sale at $8.79. Something casual for my flight back home to go with my jeans. I walked out of Old Navy with three items for around $40, with tax. So you see, sometimes, that quiet unassuming one in the back can surprise you from time to time.

Eeek. I went to Old Navy today. There were, no joke, like three shoppers in the whole store... and…read moreat least four employees (that I could see). And yet somehow, not a single one was doing anything remotely helpful (except the slow cashier). I picked out a few things, grabbed some "no-show" socks, and headed to the register... where I ran into a family of five who appeared to be outfitting themselves for the end of days. The cashier was beeping items like she was stuck in a never-ending video game: beep. beep. beep. beep. beep. beep. It. Never. Stopped. beep. beep. beep. beep. Clothes just kept coming. I don't even know where from. Armpits? Pockets? Alternate dimensions?? Hangers were everywhere. And I'm standing there like a mannequin with a pulse, watching this whole saga unfold. And here's the kicker: ONE cashier. Literally no one else even glanced my way. Like... hello? To the three or four employees pretending to do things out on the floor--come check me out. I exist. I have socks. After nearly ten minutes of standing there, I laid my stuff on the earrings rack and I left. I only had an hour at the shopping center, and Old Navy stole ten minutes of it with their customer service void. Rude.
