DJ Michael O'Neil was fantastic! My husband and I are very particular when it comes to our music, Michael listened to us and curated all the music to our tastes while keeping people on the dance floor the entire time. He was very professional and super easy to work with. I would highly recommend. read more

Michael was a joy to work with. I knew within five minutes of meeting him before signing a contract that he would be great. My husband and I had very particular music taste and Michael went out of his way to not only download the correct versions (of classical songs), but to also edit some songs to fade in and out at the precise moment. For example, as we walked down the aisle, we needed our songs to transition at one exact beat and he did it perfectly. Not only was Michael helpful before the wedding, but he was very responsive during the wedding. Like most weddings, the schedule ended up running a bit behind, and Michael worked closely with us throughout the day to make sure we were in the room for important parts of the reception and working with us to remove parts at the last second because of time (bouquet toss). I know this can be difficult because, as bride and groom, we were constantly being pulled all over the place for photos and to talk to people. The one thing we really wanted in a DJ was someone who could play sweet tunes but who wouldn't do any awkward advertising in the middle of the wedding. Michael did just that -- played great music that we requested and was very behind the scenes, emceeing when necessary. Finally, he quietly put copies of CDs with our wedding music into our stuff before leaving, which was a sweet touch. We now will have these lovely tunes to hear for the rest of our lives. Go with Michael! You won't regret it. read more

Michael is, quite seriously, the best DJ anyone could as for at any type of event. He DJed our wedding at the end of October and it made the night perfect. We met him twice before the wedding and after our first meeting we knew he would be great. Our second meeting walked through his detailed checklist of important song moments for the big day and we were able to be as picky as we wanted with some songs and then leave the rest up to him. The day of the wedding, he arrived early and set up two different systems (our ceremony was outside). It was colder than planned so our cocktail hour moved inside and was too crammed for music. I thought we might lose some of the songs we picked but Michael managed to pull out the perfect ones and play them as guests got seated in the dining area. No less than 5 people stopped me to ask about the DJ and get a copy of the music he played that night (and that was before the dancing even started!). He kept the dance floor busy all night long and our guests had a great time. We really liked that he doesn't get on the mic any more than he needs to and announced the major songs at the reception so the guests could make note of them if they wanted. He is absolutely the best DJ we could have wanted and would recommend him to anyone that ever asks. If you're thinking about using him, just go for it because it is totally worth it! read more

If you love to dance and want a DJ who's laid back and willing to listen to you, book Michael--we are so glad we did. He exceeded our expectations and we had such a good time! He helped make the ceremony perfect with excellent timing and fading of music and the addition of a crucial set of microphones that made the ceremony seamless. We got endless compliments on the reception music from our guests. Our friends love to dance and were looking forward to the music more than anything, and Michael did not disappoint. He played our request list, plus peppered in various last minute requests from our guests, and some of his own choices that rocked! He read the crowd well and made great transitions. We are so glad that we found Michael and couldn't recommend him more highly! read more

Michael O'Neill - DJs Near Me

My wedding was just under 2 weeks ago and I keep thinking about to how much fun we had! Its largely due to Michael and his partner Brett! Michael is amazing!!!! I sat here looking for some witty statement to say, but its really that simple. He just gets it. I wanted someone who understood what we weren't that into cheesy stuff (aka, line dances, disco and boring jazz etc) and Michael very much did. We like all types of music ,lots of alternative as well, but wanted people dancing all night long. Michael was very knowledgeable about music and had great ideas for us and most importantly, he innately knew what would get people dancing and keep them dancing all night--and that most certainly happened! I had a reception from 430-11:30 and people were on the dance floor all night, non-stop, for that WHOLE time. Unheard of, I know! My husband and I are very laid back but love good music, Michael was a very like minded person and I would highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend him. Thanks Michael, see ya for trivia soon! read more

My husband and I hired Michael to be our DJ at our wedding, and we could not have been happier! He was nothing but helpful in the planning process and followed through on every detail we had talked about for the day of. We've gotten so many compliments after the fact from our guests saying how much fun they had and how much they enjoyed the music. DJ Michael helped make our wedding the perfect day that it was. read more

Michael DJ'd our wedding and he was fantastic! He really listened to what we wanted and played according to our tastes. We'd definitely recommend him! read more

Michael is a top shelf pro. He knows his music and more than that, he takes the time to get to know his clients so he can deliver exactly what they want. I'd hire him again without hesitation! read more

Awesome Awesome Awesome!! There is a distinct reason Michael doesn't have to pay for advertising -- he is that good. He met with us a couple times and was patient with my pre-wedding questions about the flow of everything and exceptionally responsive when we got in touch with him -- and I'm sure he has had to answer the same question a ton of times -- but he realizes it's a first for his clients. As far as the actual wedding there was no gimmicks or the 'show is all about me' type approach to his DJ'ing style. He had flawless timing of playing songs and had great recommendations when we were unsure about introduction songs at the reception. Overall A++ -- a great DJ with no headache. His fees were very reasonable for the quality of the work he provided. Thanks Michael!!! read more

Michael was simply the perfect DJ for our wedding; he knew what to do... and also, what NOT to do. He took the time to get to know us, our taste in music, and the "feel" of our guests to make fantastic music choices. He ran the show at the reception with the perfect level of involvement... and nailed our music choices to the point where one of our guests asked us if we requested every single song. I could not have asked for a better event host for our wedding, and highly recommend Michael. read more

If we could give Michaeland his assistant Corey 10 stars we would! They did an amazing job at our wedding. We found MCO producitons on Yelp, and based on the reviews, met with Michael. As soon as I met with him, I could tell he had an intution for knowing exactly what we wanted - a non-cheesy, non-invasive DJ who had great taste in music and knew how to get the crowd going! Our wedding was fantastic from start to finish. Michael was right on with the timeline, announcements, dances, etc. We didn't want it to end. And our friends keep asking us how we found such a great DJ!! A huge thanks to Mike and Corey for making our day amazing!! thanks, Natalie and Shaun read more

Hiring Michael was one of the best decisions we made when it came to our wedding. From the moment I read about him in Boston Weddings, to our first meeting, to numerous follow-ups thereafter, Michael made a huge impression on me. He's professional, funny, talented, and the perfect DJ for a couple who wants a classy yet fun wedding. Throughout cocktail hour and dinner, he played a mellow mix of music, and as soon as the dance set started, he had everyone out of their seats. Young and old. No one sat down after dinner - my husband and I didn't even touch our cake!! I would recommend Michael to anyone. My guests are still raving about the music. He pleased the bride, the groom, and the very picky mother-of-the-bride. We're all huge fans now! Oh and I forgot to add - his assistant, Andy, was great, too!! read more

This is an enthusiastic 5 Stars! My fiance and I were new to the area and totally uncertain about what we wanted for our wedding music. We tossed around band ideas and DJ ideas for what seemed like months. We talked with or met a couple of DJs, and then we encountered DJ Michael. After chatting over a beer, we thought he would be a good choice for our wedding and booked him for our date. The result was so much more amazing than we could have imagined. We had contemplated not getting a DJ because we were worried about cheeziness...DJ Michael was nowhere near cheezy. He got to know us, he learned our musical tastes, he asked us about our "must plays" and "must not plays" and he overall gave us a sense that he really cared about our wedding. So the planning was GREAT! Then, at the actual wedding, what Michael delivered was even more amazing! He was all set up and professional for our ceremony with all the music we specified for this "formalized" part of the event. After that, he was set up and ready for our cocktail hour and reception. When I finished pictures and arrived into the reception, I was SO HAPPY with the music. My now-husband and I looked at each other on numerous occasions and said, "How did he know we LOVE this song?" It was fabulous. Like we shaped it ourselves, only with the care and combos that only an experienced DJ could provide. People were up and dancing between dinner courses, and we seriously danced the night away!! Michael's personality shines through in his events; he and Cory worked so well together and we just loved them both! I cannot express my gratitude enough. Our guests still talk about how he is the best DJ they've ever seen and heard at a wedding. I hope you love him as much as we did - and I totally recommend booking Michael if you can for your next event. It will be personalized, fun, sentimental, lively, and simply wonderful!!! read more

We found Michael on Yelp when we were suddenly a month from our wedding and our band fell through. It couldn't have worked out better! Michael and Corey(Michael's assistant) were great. Professional yet personable on every level. Michael made sure we were on the same page in advance regarding our music tastes to make sure they played a vibe that was "us", which they did - fantastically. They touched base with us before things like cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc to be sure we were ready and not caught off guard. Once dinner was over and their light show kicked in, people danced the night away. We received only rave reviews from our guests. At the end of the night, Michael even gave us two CD mixes with our key songs on them. Flawless job from beginning to end. I can not recommend MCO productions enough. If you are looking for a wedding DJ, look no further. Michael is your man and you will not be disappointed. Really. read more

My husband and I are so glad Michael was our wedding DJ! He was on site for quite a while, from prepping the mics we needed before our ceremony, all the way until the last wonderful dance. He really tailored the music to our preferences and made CDs for us with highlights at the end of the night, which was very thoughtful. We had very specific timings for a few songs (ex: fade in at 1 min and 16 seconds and fade out at 2 min 55 sec) and he was right on! Also, he's just a really nice person! read more

Work with the best and book DJ Michael, you will not regret it! My husband and I certainly are thankful we had the opportunity to work with him. He was attentive to every musical detail. This was not an easy task because every major portion of our wedding was in a different location. Michael was sure to have all the necessary equipment and music aligned for every magical moment. He kept the dance floor packed the entire night! Everyone raved about the music choices, he truly knew how to choose the best music that spoke to everyone. He was kind and so much fun to work with! read more

Michael and Corey were awesome! We got so many compliments during our wedding about how great they were. They knew to keep the volume reasonably low during dinner so people could talk. And they were a hit with the dance music, including both classic songs and more popular current songs. A lot of our guests said this was one of the best weddings they've been to and I have to thank Michael for it. He was also great with having song suggestions for certain parts. I'm not a big music person so I really appreciated the suggestion list to help me out. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience! read more

My husband and I could not have picked a better DJ for our wedding at Zorvino Vineyards this fall! Michael played all of our requests, and all of the songs he chose to play on his own were perfect. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. In fact, the bartenders at Zorvino told my parents at the end of the night that our wedding was the best Sunday night wedding they've ever seen, and they attributed this to the fact that people were up and dancing throughout the entire event! Something else that I really appreciated about Michael was that any time a guest requested a song, he made sure to find either my husband or I first to ask if it was okay. We were his number one priority the entire night. Aside from Michael playing a big role in making sure our wedding reception was the party we wanted, he was so helpful and accommodating through our planning process. My family had some very specific/particular requests when it came to playing some more of the traditional Greek songs for Greek dances, and Michael spent a lot of time going over this with us to make sure he got it right. One of my favorite parts of the entire wedding was looking around and seeing literally every guest up on the dance floor trying to Greek dance with my family! Finally, Michael was very knowledgeable with his recommendations for other aspects besides just songs - parent dances, cutting the cake, how much time to allot for different parts of the night, etc. I can't say enough amazing things about our experience with Michael as our wedding DJ. Book him now before others do! read more

Dear Mike, Thanks for doing such a fabulous job on our wedding! After we met with you the first time, we were relaxed, feeling confident that you would take care of the music and we could just leave you to do what you do best! You did everything on cue and and made my guests very comfortable. You gave instructions in a courteous manner and played a wonderful variety of music, plus everything we asked for! You said you would read the crowd and you did! I really like that you made the wedding about us, and didn't try to steal the show with corny jokes or too much chatter. We loved the "up lights" that you recommended and the fact that you could handle the ceremony, cocktails, and party in 3 different rooms with seamless transition. You are just as wonderful as all the other reviews said you are!! Thanks again. Elaine and Mark 5/28/15 read more

If I could give Michael 10 stars I would. He was AMAZING. He was recommended to us by good friends of ours who used his DJ services at their wedding. Their wedding was an absolute blast, and we knew we wanted Michael to bring that same vibe to our wedding. From the beginning, he was responsive and easy to work with. We booked him quite far in advance as the DJ was important to me. He made this process seamless. We were planning our Boston, MA wedding from Washington, DC however with phone calls and emails I felt like everything I needed to know was communicated. As we got closer to the wedding, he had a great planning document to help square away all the necessary details for the big day including must plays and do-not plays. I was rather particular about the songs I wanted to be played during my ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He went far beyond my expectations, and provided us with the exact music we were looking for. He reviewed the timeline with me days before the wedding, and kept the night moving perfectly. I did not stop dancing for one minute at my own wedding.. it was the best. He had EVERYONE dancing the whole night. If you are looking for a reliable, reasonably priced DJ who will keep your party going all night... Michael is your guy! I will continue to recommend him to all my future friends and family planning their weddings. read more

Michael was the DJ at our wedding in June 2013 and it was the best decision we made! Michael had awesome advice, he is a true professional. Our guests were dancing the entire evening, he had the energy up even during dinner music. All of my friends want to use him for weddings in the future. read more

We loved DJ Michael! He took our very diverse musical interests and made a perfect mix! He was so easy and responsive to work with! I would highly recommend Michael to any bride out there that wants a classy DJ that doesn't try to take over the show! He will bring whatever vibe you want and all of my guests left tired from dancing, which was my goal! read more

He's the nicest guy, super understanding when my mom had a few last minute changes. Our party was half Brazilians so they were all raring to dance and mike really knew which songs to play to get the Americans up too. All in all, it was a great wedding and the music was perfect. He made some suggestions when I was unsure of what we wanted and they were spot on for what the room needed. 10/10 would get married and have him dj again! read more

Michael was a pleasure to work with. He ran our wedding beautifully and we appreciate all he did to make our wedding a success. He is the kind of DJ we wanted. He was not the stand up comic on the microphone playing games. What he did was play great music and run everything smoothly. We could not be happier with our experience. read more

We booked Michael to be our wedding DJ this past June and we were incredibly happy with our decision. He was professional and responded very quickly to emails. He listened closely to our requests and thoughtfully shared his prior wedding experiences to help with our decision making. He has a wide selection of music and will even buy additional files to accommodate you (we requested songs from our favorite video games during our prelude). Most importantly, our crowd was dancing all night and we had so much fun at our wedding thanks to him. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a modern DJ in the Boston area--you will not be disappointed! read more

My wife and I have been to a lot of weddings in the past couple of years and the DJ really sets the tone for the party. A friend of ours booked Michael for his wedding and we had a blast. Michael was our first call when we got engaged. We have been told our wedding was the best people had been to, and this was due wholly to Michael and his assistant Brett. His music choice was excellent and he kept the dance floor packed the entire night. We can't thank him enough and absolutely would recommend MCO Productions. Thanks Michael. read more

Michael was the DJ at our Cambridge Muliticultural Arts Center wedding this Fall and he was the best decision we made throughout the entire planning process. The dance floor was packed the entire night with our guests dancing to song after song of awesomeness. He played all of our requested songs and all of the songs that he chose on his own were spot on. So many guests (young and old) came up to me during the night to tell me that the playlist was incredible. More importantly, Michael knows his stuff. Like all brides, I was a little nervous about how the night would go. I didn't have a wedding planner to make sure everything flowed perfectly so I relied a lot on creating a schedule beforehand and making sure the vendors were all in agreement. You may not expect a DJ to have a big role in the logistics of the evening, but they certainly do. From the cocktail hour, to dinner, to the toasts, cake cutting, and parent dances, Michael's experience shines during weddings and he knows how to make the night pass seamlessly. We started planning with him almost a year and half before our wedding day and he was by far the most responsive and nicest vendor we worked with. He even edited our first dance song for us. Once he knew what our ideas were for our event, he reassured us not to worry about anything and he executed every detail perfectly. If you need a DJ, Michael is your guy. We found him using Yelp and the reviews could not be more accurate; he is incredible and deserves every single one of these accolades. read more

Michael was absolutely amazing!!!! I cannot tell you how thrilled my husband and I are for choosing him. He was beyond helpful- thorough, extremely responsive and very prepared. We had a very specific vision of what we wanted, and it was executed in the exact way we had dreamed. He helped us fashion our unique music for when people were seating, played our "peace of mind" exit ceremonial music, classy cocktail hour music and then pumped up dance party music. We requested music that would get the party started. People stopped dinner early and the dance party never died down. Everyone raved about our wedding, which I think is due in large part to an excellent, knowledgeable DJ. Thank you so much, Michael!!! read more

We just had Michael DJ our wedding and he was great. He kept everyone on the dance floor all night and played a large variety. He also did a great job organizing the flow of events throughout the night. Michael and his crew were top notch and took that extra step to make our night outstanding. I would highly recommend him! read more

No need to look any further for a DJ, you will get the best with Michael! I can't tell you what an amazing dance party Michael created for us. I received countless complements on Michael's DJ skills during and after our reception. You know it is a fabulous party when guests yell for the DJ to play more music when the night comes to a close! Leave any anxiety at the door after you book with Michael, you will be getting the best!! read more

Michael was the DJ at our wedding last weekend in Haverhill, MA and my husband and I could not have been more pleased. We were VERY picky about our playlist and asked Michael to play ~100 handpicked songs, mixing in others he recommended that were similar. Michael took the time to find and download every single one, yes...every. single. one. He totally blew us away with his dedication. He also made it a point to meet with us beforehand to go over how we wanted things to flow throughout the evening and to make sure he got all of the name pronunciations correct. What's more is that he showed up early, charged an extremely fair rate for his services AND (cherry on top!) he gave us CDs post-wedding of all of the songs he played. He's literally such a rockstar and I'm so glad we found him. If we ever have another event where we need a DJ, he'd be the first one I call. You will not be disappointed - he's the best of the best. Thank for making our day amazing, Michael!!! read more

My wife and I hired Michael to DJ our wedding at the Smith Barn in Peabody, MA., on 7/1/12. He and his assistant Brett were fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything more. He deftly mixed in our picks with great selections of his own, and he had a wonderful feel for how the party was going. He kept us all dancing until the absolute last minute. Michael also is a wonderfully calming influence on a day that is sometimes nerve-wracking. My wife and I agreed that our wedding was the best day of our lives, and Michael was a big part of that. Even better, he was the most reasonably priced DJ we found. I can't recommend Michael enough. read more

Michael was the DJ for our wedding at the State Room in Boston. He was recommended by a friend and the friend stressed that Michael knows how to keep people on the dance floor and keeps the party going. He was exactly as advertised! Michael was very responsive from day 1! He answered all of our questions all the way from before booking him until the day of the wedding. We met with him before booking him and he stressed that he goes in with a plan but will change things up based on the crowd and what gets people up on the dance floor. We highly recommend the upgrade for uplighting; the colors definitely enhanced the mood! He met with us several days before the wedding to go over everything and was willing to make changes up until the day of the wedding. He helped us pick music when we weren't sure what we wanted and he found an instrumental version of a song so that a family friend could sing for us! He let us know how everything was going to go and he had everyone from kids to friends to grandparents on the dance floor! He even shot a video of us late night! We cannot say enough good things about Michael and the piece he had in all of the compliments we received on how great the night was! I first contacted Michael after I got engaged for DJ services for my wedding. He was unavailable on my date but sent me a lot of options for other DJs he works with. He was incredibly helpful and fast in responding. He also was great about corresponding in the method that I preferred (email because I was at work). He was able to find me a great DJ that I loved and booked, but unfortunately the DJ got a great opportunity to switch careers and had to leave town for the summer. This was beyond Michael's control, but as a replacement he found other DJs who were available on my date. I decided to go with another company although I really wish it would have worked with MCO Productions. I had put in a deposit and the day I told Michael I wanted my deposit back he put a check in the mail. Michael is beyond professional and i would recommend him to any bride! read more

Michael and his assistant, Corey, were the DJs for our wedding in August, and I have to say they were absolutely amazing. They selected perfect music from dinner all the way through late night dancing - our guests couldn't get off the dance floor! In addition, Michael and Corey were extremely professional and helped make the night run incredibly smoothly. Of all the things that could make a wedding stressful, working with Michael as your DJ will not be one of them! Really couldn't recommend him more highly. read more

Michael DJed our wedding last month, and we are so glad we chose him (we found him thanks to Yelp reviews, and I hope we can pass it along to other couples!). Michael is not a show-boating, corny DJ; he is professional and somehow both laid-back and highly involved. We picked a few of the key songs (first dance, parent dances, etc), and then gave him a general idea for dancing music - that we wanted all our guests of all ages to have fun dancing. He delivered above and beyond what we hoped for. Can't recommend him enough. read more

Michael is amazing. If you want your wedding to be the best dance party anyone has ever been to, hire Michael. Almost every guest at our wedding throughout the night told us we had amazing DJ. When the reception was over, everyone chanted for an encore, because once the party began, no one left the dance floor all night, and they didn't want to. Outside of that, we had some special requests that required editing songs, and doing a few surprised for our guests, Michael helped with everything and executed flawlessly. He was extremely professional and responsive throughout the planning process and was really easy to work with. We gave him very high level guidelines as to the type of music we wanted and didn't want and he took care of the rest. No stress but an ultimate celebration. read more

Michael was SUCH AN AMAZING DJ. Michael came recommended to me by a friend who had attended her friend's wedding, and both my husband and I could not have been happier with our choice. Michael was an extraordinary DJ and he kept the party going all night - I don't think the dance floor emptied once! He was extremely professional and didn't do any gimmicky stuff to draw attention to himself (long winded introductions, cheesy games/songs, etc) - he made sure the night was about both my husband and I. He met with us beforehand to go over song requests for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and was sure to get our somewhat unique song requests for the night. Beyond the few songs we requested (and the few we were dead set against) we just let Michael do his thing and pick the music himself and we could not have been more pleased - he knew exactly what song to play next and how to keep the energy up. My biggest fear for my wedding was having an empty dance floor...his advice to me was "the crowd goes where the bride goes - if you're on the dance floor, they will be too" and he could not have been more right - I don't think I've ever had so much fun dancing in my entire life. Seriously. Michael also provided our uplighting and acted as our wedding coordinator and did a fantastic job at these two tasks as well. Our wedding could not have been more perfect, and we owe a lot of that to Michael - we could not recommend him enough! read more
