We experienced high-pressure sales tactics early on--including an absolute refusal to shift a consultation meeting by even 24 hours so both my fiancé and I could attend. We were told that if we didn't lock in immediately, someone else would take the date at a higher rate. We were repeatedly pressured with claims that we'd "never find a band for this price" and told we had to sign within a day or two. The most concerning part was what came next: after all that intense pressure to commit immediately, communication completely stopped. They went radio silent for three full months without a single follow-up. Given the total lack of professional communication and the aggressive tactics, we assumed the band was unavailable and booked our entertainment elsewhere. Event planning is stressful enough without having to deal with high-pressure sales followed by months of ghosting. I would strongly advise prospective clients to look elsewhere.

Most importantly, the band absolutely crushed the performance! The energy they brought to the room was infectious - the dance floor was packed all night and nobody wanted the party to end. I can't remember how we found about him but we hired him for our wedding at the Peabody Essex Museum even though I was living in Maryland at the time. We never met face to face and had all of our meetings by phone. He was super easy to work with and always professional. My husband and I aren't super duper into music, I just knew that I wanted a party that didn't stop. I wanted everyone on the dance floor the whole night. I also knew I wanted more of a "club" feel than a traditional wedding/bat mitzvah. So we told Brett none of the traditional "party" songs or dances like YMCA, twist and shout, etc. And then we just crossed our fingers and hoped that he listened to our requests. And he did! Our party was rockin' everyone danced the WHOLE night and it was seriously one of the best weddings I have ever been too. 7 years later our friends still talk about our wedding and how much fun it was, and I attribute a lot of that to Brett. He also helped us bring Latin music into the hora so it reflected both of our families, which meant a lot to us. CJ and his assistant handled almost everything that evening: ceremony mics, our recessional, cocktail hour music, MC duties, the reception, and uplighting. It was a relief to have one person we trusted covering all of it. We added a digital photobooth at the last minute, and CJ and TSG were really flexible about making it work. It ended up being one of the highlights of the night. CJ was also easygoing and a pleasure to work with through the whole process. He was organized and responsive, kept track of every detail we gave him, and every conversation with him left us more excited and less stressed. On the day, he and his assistant kept a close eye on the timeline so we had plenty of time to dance. And everyone danced. The website to set everything up was very easy and nice to be able to pick exactly what songs we wanted for different parts of the night so Ron could get a feel for what type of music we were looking for. The music and dancefloor started early on and did not stop! Throughout the entire process of our wedding planning, Dan was available to meet with us as many times as we wanted and was always available via phone or email. Not only did Dan walk us through every step of the process, but he patiently helped us choose the perfect songs for all parts of our entire night by suggesting different songs/themes based on our preferences and personalities. The last thing I want to comment on is that Dan provided uplighting free of charge for us. When he came to Willowdale, he noticed that it might be a bit better if some uplighting was added. Dan took the initiative to add this for us, and it made the entire reception that much better. Dan was professional and cooperative with song requests, and made sure to keep the flow of the reception going. I could go on and on about Dan's professionalism and genuine care in order to make our wedding the best night of our lives. But all I will say is that even today, almost 5 months after our wedding, our guests are still raving about the music and the ambiance of the wedding. Without Dan, our wedding would not have been nearly as extravagant. Honestly, you don't have to look anywhere else for a wedding DJ. Honestly, there is nothing more you could possibly ask for in a wedding band. My fiancé and I love to check out local cover bands, so choosing one for the wedding was going to be a feat. But once we saw YLatT... They truly blew the competition out of the water. They are operating on a whole separate plane from any other group we've seen in the area. YLatT is comprised of incredibly talented musicians. This is no fly-by-night cover band. They have been playing together for years (the keyboardist and drummer were in a band prior to this, dating back I think 15 years?) and it shows in their chemistry and synchrony. Each member of the band is unbelievable. They also have a dedicated sound tech who stayed all night, so they sounded great in the reception space. They had an amazing range, from classic wedding tunes (At Last) to 80s favorites (Don't Stop Believin') and modern hits (Blurred Lines). Any genre, they were all over it. They sent us the full song list a few months before the wedding and let us have a lot of freedom is choosing the songs we knew our friends and family would love. And like I said, you can't go wrong. They are experts at all of them. Importantly: FUN! In addition to being excellent musicians, these guys knew how to work a room. They were just having a blast the whole time, and their enthusiasm was contagious. We also had the guitarist, Sean, play for our ceremony as we walked down the aisle. It was way easier than trying to coordinate yet another musician(s), and he did a great job. The band was also able to lend us a mic and an amp for our outdoor ceremony. All of our guests raved about the band, and it's still the most mentioned part of our day. Really, we couldn't have asked for a better group.
