Honestly, who has that much fun at a wedding planning meeting? The following weekend, we were lucky enough to get a preview of DJ Dennis at our good friends wedding. As expected, he kept the entire crew on the dance floor all night long! We had the most amazing time and everyone was talking about the awesome music selection. Then came out wedding 6 days later.... Dennis came into the bridal room gave me a big hug and wished me well, which was so sweet and much appreciated. He brought multiple satellite hookups, since there were a few different site locations at our venue. Everything was amazing. He even thought to bring a hand held mic, just in case our pastors mic went out, since we were in the middle of a field. He provided our MOH and best man with a mic stand, so they wouldn't have to worry about anything, but making us laugh and cry through speeches. Dennis was so on point with all the timing of the entrances and special dances to follow. He also made sure to ask my permission, if there were any "questionable" requests, which was so nice. In the weeks following up our wedding there were several aspects of our big day that friends and family kept raving about... "What a nice ceremony," "I've never had better food at a wedding," etc. However, the most raving, unanimous feedback about our big day was how amazing our DJ was. SImply put: DJ Dan is the best in the business! For our first meeting with him, we knew that our wedding was going to be the party that we wanted. His professionalism and confidence are so reassuring that they provide a life raft in the middle of the stress that is wedding planning. Our DJ from DM productions, Gabe, was amazing! Picking them was a huge decision because the DJ can make or break a wedding. We originally picked DM productions based off of their great reviews and their website, which described some fun cocktail hour and dinner time song themes. The website also explained their process of how the DJs are able to keep guests on the dance floor throughout the night. They totally delivered on this, our dance floor was packed from the moment it opened. When we had our pre-wedding meeting with Gabe he was super friendly and easy to work with. He quickly picked up on the genre of music and the vibes we were looking for. The wedding day was absolutely perfect! Gabe was very professional. He made all of the announcements that we needed but didn't over-do it with the microphone (which I have seen some DJs do at weddings). The music during dinner was classy and fun and our guests were ready to dance as soon as the floor opened. There was never a dull moment and there was a perfect mix of old and new songs. Our last dance was perfect and no one wanted the night to end. We had so many guests tell us they had never danced so much at a wedding. We recently hired DJ Dan to DJ our wedding in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. My wife and I live in San Diego but were planning our wedding near her family home on the east coast. It was a challenging experience because we had to coordinate all of our plans from afar. However, as soon as we started working with DJ Dan from DM productions, we no longer had to worry about music. To begin, DJ Dan was available and flexible to meet over Skype. We had multiple conversations online that helped us get a sense for his style as well as make decisions about our playlist. Additionally, DJ Dan had a music worksheet that left nothing to chance and helped us outline exactly what songs we needed to keep our guests on the dance floor. My wife and I listen to a lot of Indie music from online blogs and it was important that we use some of this music despite it not being on iTunes or other mainstream stores. No problem for DJ Dan. We LOVE DJ Dan! He is professional, seasoned, and fun to work with. We had a great wedding and knew that we didn't have to worry about a thing with him behind the music. For my wedding, I was not picky about much, but I needed the right music. I had a lot of ideas, songs I wanted played, and things I didn't want. After much research I found Dan McCarthy. (Funny story, after I had chosen him, two separate people randomly told me to hire him, said he was the best in the state. Totally confirmed my decision.) He really listened, and everything was absolutely perfect. His technology is really great, he can basically pull any song from anywhere and improve upon the quality of it if he doesn't already have it in his database. My sister had even contacted him to do her own rap to the music of the theme to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, which he happily provided. One of the highlights of the day. We also had a guitarist play a song. None of this was s problem. Dan McCarthy owner of DM productions was our wedding dj last October and he lit it up! We literally had the time of our lives. People were up dancing before and after dinner and he worked around my favorite song choices while also blending in the best oldies classics and top 40 hits as well. We had Dan McCarthy and DM Productions for our wedding in December and it was the best decision we could have made! Once the music started the guests never left the dance floor. Dan was able to mix modern pop music with our special requests in a way that made all of our guests happy. Many of my in-laws are from Italy and Dan was able to incorporate authentic Italian music that all of the guests could dance to and enjoy. We booked Dan as our first vendor once we knew our date. He was the DJ at my brothers wedding, and we absolutely loved everything about him. He wasn't a DJ that "entertains" with games or props. We wanted someone with experience, and knew how to keep the party going, and he did just that! From our cocktail music of the Rat Pak, to our reception with an extra hour, he was fabulous.
