Started with a simple call with Barry (Principal) about a year out and he told us he personally was available on the night of our wedding. Barry is a firecracker and the energy within him is contagious. He talked about all the things that set him apart from other event companies in the Boston area. Highest of materials from Germany on his uplighting and his pin lights. Talked about the white dance floor he has and what makes it different than others. We got a price from him and told him we would get back to him. Over the next week, we reached out to a few other event companies and al a carte service providers and realized at the end of the day Barry was the way to go with one of his packages!! As soon as we were under contract with him with received a very comprehensive package to start crafting our event to be what we wanted as much as using the techniques Barry knows work.... Occasionally we got texts from Barry checking in and calls just to get to know us. He wanted to know who he was going to be representing on our special night and we loved this part of Barry. He truly cares about the people he works with and the behind the scenes work he does for an event is unbelievable. About a week before the event we had a zoom call with our event planner and Barry Tobin out the details, go over name pronunciations and song edits for first dance, spotlight dances and grand entrances. Barry wasn't checking his watch because a meeting that was supposed to be one hour was over 2 hours and left everyone ready for the day!! Barry also informed us he personally went to the venue ahead of this meeting to get a feel for the room.... It showed the day of!! Now we fast forward to the wedding day.... The venue (Danversport) gave an unrealistic get ready time for the vendors involved in this event. Barry brought his team in at pre 8am to lay the dance floor down knowing he wasn't going to have the needed time with only 1.5 hours of setup that Danversport was allowing per contract. I got videos from Barry pulling up to the venue on a bright and sunny day as he wasn't getting himself and his team ready to start "building out the box."' I used this line the entire day and still because the room we had was made stunning by the uplighting, pin lights, shinny dance floor, LED DJ station and of course the work of our amazing florist (separate review). The room was transformed and it was amazing to see the amount of people on Barry's team running around in PTE shirts setting up outside drones, video for the ceremony, Lav mics for the ceremony and music for the cocktail hour. It was unbelievable!!!! My guests are STILL talking about this wedding and we owe a major thank you to Barry and the team at PTE. The lighting was stunning in this room and it really did transform the venue from very nice to stunning!!!

We talked to Ron over email and met up with him before the wedding to discuss music options. The website to set everything up was very easy and nice to be able to pick exactly what songs we wanted for different parts of the night so Ron could get a feel for what type of music we were looking for. The music and dancefloor started early on and did not stop! Dan provided the music for both our ceremony and reception, and everything was absolutely perfect. But the perfection began much earlier than the night of our wedding. Throughout the entire process of our wedding planning, Dan was available to meet with us as many times as we wanted and was always available via phone or email. Not only did Dan walk us through every step of the process, but he patiently helped us choose the perfect songs for all parts of our entire night by suggesting different songs/themes based on our preferences and personalities. The last thing I want to comment on is that Dan provided uplighting free of charge for us. When he came to Willowdale, he noticed that it might be a bit better if some uplighting was added. Dan took the initiative to add this for us, and it made the entire reception that much better. Dan was professional and cooperative with song requests, and made sure to keep the flow of the reception going. I could go on and on about Dan's professionalism and genuine care in order to make our wedding the best night of our lives. But all I will say is that even today, almost 5 months after our wedding, our guests are still raving about the music and the ambiance of the wedding. Without Dan, our wedding would not have been nearly as extravagant. Honestly, you don't have to look anywhere else for a wedding DJ. One slow song to start the night and not one single slow song for the entirety of the event. It's a WEDDING. People want to hear slow songs and music that was performed with real instruments. These guys actually turned down multiple requests from guests for songs every DJ should absolutely have. It's not about you, dude. Play music other people like. Everyone over about 30 sat miserably at their tables waiting for a slow song or even just a good song. By the end of the night The guests were just hoping that at least the last song would be something you could actually dance to. But no, just more teenage club music garbage. They also apparently insisted on bringing their own hideous rainbow light up dance floor. It's not even remotely big enough for even an average size wedding. I guess without prep burger you can't expect much from a hack DJ. He'd be great for a junior high prom, though.
