I wish my review wasn't this low. The store is beautiful and the selection is great, but every single time I come here, the girls working there will do absolutely nothing to help. I was in the store for 10 minutes, looking at one particular wall and the whole time, the three girls were talking about how one of them should finally post a picture on Instagram to make a guy jealous. Eventually when I realized they weren't going to help, I left and told my husband. He wanted me to get the bag I wanted because it's my birthday. He went inside and informed the girls they weren't helpful and how rude they actually were. He did get the bag for me, but honestly, the girls working tonight need better service skills. I wish I've read the reviews before doing business here. DO NOT BUY THINGS from here! This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had in returning items. We did not wear the clothes bought (that's why we are returning them), but the service lady was extremely rude, and look for every issue with the item (that probably was originally there) and used as excuse for unable to return item. Made the drive out to Gilroy in hopes of helping mom find a few gifts for family. One item in particular was a handbag and with Coach being a bust, we were pretty thrilled to see Michael Kors located within the vicinity. The store itself is good in size, we entered and was immediately greeted by an associate whom I think was named Kim [my bad for not being more attentive]. The store was clean, bright, and extremely organized. This particular MK seemed to offer a limited variety when it comes to handbags for sale but the color options make up for that. There are a good selection of jackets, blouses, accessories, perfumes, and watches to enhance your shopping experience. Definitely a bargain on all levels. 3/5 stars because the girl ringing up purchases could have been friendlier. We asked if there was a bag available in the stockroom since the only bag on the sales floor came with obvious defects. She was pushy about collecting payment and seems irked by us inspecting the new bag she brought out. The cashier made it a must to add, "there is only this additional bag in this style and color". **The customer service here is in need of some retraining STAT!!** read more

STOP SHOPPING AT MICHAEL KORS!!! This was my first Micheal Kors anything. My lady bought me this jacket on November 27, 2021. I wore the jacket a couple of times. I started to notice on the second wear that the right inside pocket was unstitching. Then I saw the right pocket on the outside was unstiching also. I knew I had to return the jacket. I went back to the store that my girlfriend bought the jacket from. I tried to exchange it cause I thought the jacket was nice, it did keep me warm. When trying to exchange it the guy there said they could not accept it because it had stains. There were no stains. Possibly water marks, because I wore it when it rained over here. That is what a jacket is for, not Michael Kors jackets though. I left the store, my lady called them and asked what was the deal with not taking it back. Maria the manager told her that it has wear and tear on it. I have had the jacket for only twenty-five days. It's not wear and tear, it is a cheaply made product plain and simple. When my lady asked about the right pocket coming undone, Maria said that it was probably "the way I put my hands in my pocket that got the jacket to unstitch." What an assumption by Maria, really ridiculous. I will be reporting this Michael Kors to the Better Business Bureau and putting a claim in. I will also never shop or accept any gift if it is Michael kors. I thought Michael Kors was a high end brand, they are not. PEOPLE YOU ARE JUST PAYING FOR THE NAME!!! Stop making this brand popular. Let me start off by saying I am a poor college student. My first MK bag was the Hamilton Bag from Valley Fair. The only reason why I got my Michael Kors bag was because of Financial Aid. Okay..after spending a fortune at the MK Valley Fair a few months ago. My roommate mentioned a MK store at Gilroy. So, my boyfriend and I took a spontaneous trip to Gilroy Outlets to check out this store. This being said I was excited for under-priced MK bag. I was really looking forward to purchasing one too. Came in was greeted right away. We spent less then 5 minutes in the store, but the employees were staring at us like we were going to steal something. But this time it seemed like the racially profiled or they thought less of me, they all just looked and stared at me without saying a word to me. Michael Kors Outlets has redeemed itself thanks to the Gilroy branch! So..originally I bought a black crossbody bag here in late December last year. After only two months, the purse broke earlier this month. I was really disappointed in the quality of the purse but I was happy to hear that they have a one year warranty on their items. Long story short, I went to the Milpitas MK and they did absolutely nothing. A wasted trip with HORRIBLE customer service. THANK GOODNESS for MK Gilroy! I called ahead of time to explain my situation, and the staff on the phone told me they can't make any promises over the phone as they would have to see the purse in person before assessing the situation--understandable. So here goes my long trek across the bay to make it to Gilroy. (It takes me over an hour to get there) BUT! My time was NOT wasted. I spoke with the store manager Xee who was very helpful and she and some of her staff called around other MK outlet stores and were able to track down my purse at another store. So I will be waiting for their call as soon as it arrives at their store to go and pick it up. I'm not completely sure that this will be 100% solved and things will go perfectly smoothly, but I do appreciate good customer service and an effort to make things better. So 4 stars for you! If my purse makes it to your store and I can pick it up in no problem....I'll give you 4.5. I knocked down .5 (generously) for selling me a defective item in the first place. I'll be back though. I had a 3yr old store credit. Luckily I was still able to use it. Anyway, the Michael Kors outlet is next to Shoe Palace, Vince Camuto, and Forever 21. There's a big parking lot, usually it's easy to find a spot. The sales people either ignore you, follow you around, or throw in a few perks of whatever item you're looking at. Today, I had the misfortune of a newer sales associate who kept telling me about each item I glanced at, and followed me around like a duckling for my 20minute visit. The supervisor was helpful in using up my ancient store credit. In General: The average item are discount is roughly 10%, some items are for a better price. They have a lot of bags, wallets, small goods and clothing. Personally I don't like their sunglasses selection because they're over-handled and weak. I buy all my Michael Kors for 40-50% off at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. The only thing I like here is the specialty clothing and small goods. I love Michael Kors handbags for a lot of reasons... Quality, style, durability, etc, etc. I own somewhere around a dozen and counting. I just rotate them out depending on the season and/or my mood and then just dust bag them while not in use. I think because MK doesn't design with short term trends in mind you can appreciate these bags for years... Every time I know I'm within an hour or so of an outlet, especially this one, I have to hit it up to see what's new and slightly discounted. I'm also not opposed to MK's clothes, perfume and other pretty things which makes this outlet great for a little self indulgence whenever I am in the San Jose area. They have a huge selection of clothes and a great discount rack. For the most part the staff is super friendly (felt a bit ignored yesterday though). The store is quiet, clean and well lit. I'm usually the only one in store which is a pretty nice way to shop. read more

I bought a backpack here and am satisfied with my purchase. However, this is a review for the customer service/weird store policy: My mom bought a handbag and me a backpack and once we checked them out the lady at the register put both of them in this extremely large shopping bag. We asked her if we could get two smaller shopping bags instead considering we had other stores we wanted to shop at and didn't want to carry this large, extremely heavy bag everywhere. However, she responded with "Only one bag per customer, store policy, sorry." We even offered to PAY for an extra shopping bag but that wasn't allowed...wtf. We ended up having to walk back all the way to our car parked in the end of the parking lot before we could continue shopping. The ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever encountered in my life! I was gifted a handbag from my grandmother a few days after Christmas. My grandma said "the receipts are in the bag if it's not exactly your style just take it back" After almost a week of deciding I decided I would just take it back. This was January 3rd at around 8:30 pm. I asked my fiancé if he could go in and return it because I wasn't feeling well. The purse was kept in my trunk in fear of it getting messed up by my kids. I left it exactly as it came when I was gifted it. Tags still attached to it, paper that it usually comes stuffed with was still inside of it. Never used it not once. My fiancé comes out (and mind you my fiancé is a really humble easy going guy. Not attracted to drama at all) he tells me "the girl inside with the long dark hair was being really snotty and rude and gave me this dirty look on her face as if I looked poor or something (he just got off work) she said there's pink glitter at the bottom of the bag and that the purse smells like marijuana" I couldn't even believe him for a second because that bag hadn't been anywhere near glitter OR marijuana. I took the purse out and flashed my light in it and didn't see one drop of glitter and it smelled like FRESH leather. Even though I wasn't feeling well I went in there and as soon as I walked inside there was a girl with short blonde hair I said "hi my fiancé tried to return this just now" she didn't even look me in the eyes she just pointed to the girl with long black hair behind her. Before I could even start speaking to the girl with long dark hair I noticed immediately she was looking me up and down I could now see exactly what my fiancé meant (I was in sweats a hoodie and Uggs.. again I wasn't feeling good at all I had no makeup on) I was getting the impression that I looked too "poor" to be In there and she made me feel as if me trying to return the bag was some sort of scam. I am a frequent buyer from this location and have never had any problems I did not think taking back a handbag was going to be such a joke! I stated to the lady "I was told you girls are insinuating there is glitter in this purse and it has an odor?" She responded yes. I told her " i just shined my flashlight over the whole bag I did not see one drop of glitter" she responded "well it still has an odor to it" as if hmmm okay her first complaint didn't work so she's going to stick with the second. I argued with her for about 2-3 mins about how I had never had my bag next to any of the two things she was insinuating. The whole time she just had this "ew" look on her face and said "what am I supposed to do? I can't sell that bag" I was in complete shock the MANAGER was being this rude. She was giving me one word replies. I said "I am smelling this bag right now there is not a weird odor to it, it smells exactly like leather?!" She would just say "yes it does" I was so irritated I am a 23 year old fiancé and mother of 2. My fiancé and I work very hard. I was feeling extremely profiled and embarrassed I was being treated in such a way in front of customers. I did cuss a little out of frustration but I just left the store it was clear this lady was not going to work with me or even hear me out. I was so upset after leaving the store I didn't even have an appetite for dinner. Please treat your customers with respect no matter how they look! I am never one to write bad reviews only if I feel really bothered by something and this woman made me feel so uncomfortable. I will never return to that store again! when we went here at Gilroy PO about a year ago we didnt know MK has its outlet here until we came back now.. They have a wide selection of purses, few clothes and pants!! They have a clearance sale in the back side too for some tops.. We were gonna buy a spring top with chain strap but we opted for a bag.. $398.00 for a very nice bag with 60% discount for a total with tax $170+.. The people who assisted us, 1 guy, 1 lady and a cashier were all accommodating and made our shopping experience fun.. Terrible Customer service! I brought my crossover handbag & wallet to return to the Gilroy Outlet which is a hour and a half drive. I returned the bag because I wasn't happy with the purchase. The cashier asked the manager if it was ok to return. The manager of the store said no due to the bag was used. This bag is less the 30 days old and in mint brand new condition. They said it's dirty I said where? She pointed to a tiny spot. I cleaned it off but they still wouldn't refund my purchase. I asked the cashier for the customer service phone number. She just stood there and said look it up online! I than asked for the manager, she gave me the phone number with no problem. I than called customer service who stated she couldn't help me because it's up to the store manager & the tags were off the bag. I told her I have the tags you can just put them back on and I told her according to the receipt it states if your unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason you can return for a refund or credit within 30 days. No where does it state it must have tags on the merchandise. I decided to try the Michael Kors Outlet in Livermore, which is another hour away. The MK store in Livermore had no problem with the return and refunded my money. Now I'm driving 2 1/2 hours back home just to return a MK bag. Not worth all these issues! This store is very small and they only allow a few people at a time. Now they have two location. Large parking area. The Selection is ok they have a little of everything. They sales people are very pushy and rush you, but then they want you to drop there name at the check out. They are not very helpful in finding out what you would like. When you visit an outlet store, it is always going to be a hit or miss. I went in to shop with my sister, and we are both fans of MK bags, we always stop by when we are in Gilroy. I'm very indecisive whenever I see so many that I like, so I like to take my time because I try to picture my outfits (in order for the purse color to match with whatever I decide to wear) and this white male approached me with this judgmental look asking if I needed help, I have been there multiple times so I declined the help nicely. He just kept watching me! Do you know how hard it is to shop when someone is over your shoulder the entire time? Anyways, I chose this caramel leather crossbody bag that had studs and was the last one, so I was carrying it around because I didn't want it to be taken by someone else, I was also on the hunt for a satchel. So I kept going back and forth from one side of the room to the other to convince myself with one. Keep in mind, I'm walking around with the leather crossbody bag and whoever this male employee is just keeps following me around acting like he's fixing the purses. He finally said, "Would you like me to put this on hold for you over the counter?" it was bothering me to have him over my shoulder so much, that I agreed. Yet, he kept following me around.. I ended up purchasing more than just the crossbody bag, and so did my sister. I should've complained but I was just glad to find purses I was able to purchase to prove that I wasn't tying to steal anything and I was actually able to afford them. Don't stereotype or think that someone can't afford something based on their looks. It upset me so bad because at the end of the day, employees get paid because of customers. I want to give them no star but they don't have 0 star. Today is thanksgiving and I went to Gilroy outlet with my aunts. We were so excited to go shopping. One of my aunt and me wanna go restroom and when we went back the line , a group behind us asked us to move back to the end of the line. We tried to explain that we just went back from restroom. But they tried to ignore what we said and they talked to the employee who stayed in front of the door. That employee came to us and asked us to move out of the line. I told her I never come back to any Michael Kors store anymore . You guys is not a luxury brand name but the way you solve the problems so stupid. I debated leaving the review but I'm obviously not done thinking about it so I guess it's worth writing. My boyfriend and I were at the outlets one Saturday August 25, 2018. I came in with the hopes of buying a purse and a wallet. I found a purse I liked and asked if it came in another color. They said not at this location but for $10 I could have it shipped from another location that might have the color I want. I thought "Perfect!" they said they would check the other stores and let me know. I continued to browse the store and wait for the sales women to return. However what happened next is what sort of erked me. I watched as the women who was trying to help me proceeded to help 3 other customers then hand off my request to another women. (okay fine I understand there's probably a protocol about this type of thing) but another 15 mins goes by and I've now been waiting 25 mins with no answer (they did tell me they were waiting on the people at the other location to confirm the number listed in inventory was current) Unfortunately we had other stores we needed to hit so I told them we would come back. they offered to take down my information and call me with and update. Awesome! I NEVER GOT A CALL all they did was put me on the email list. The time it took to check for the other color is basically a neutral issue when I think about it reasonably because there were a lot of factors out of their control but the lack of follow up made me feel like they did not take me seriously as a customer which is low key offensive but again it's part of the sales industry. overall not a great experience. read more

Customer service review: Personally I'm not a fan of MK anything. I find the brand to be a bit over hyped and tacky. But last week I was birthday gift shopping for my mom, and checked this store out since my mom likes MK. I went in on a Saturday morning with a friend. This was a spontaneous trip to the Gilroy outlets for us from Hayward. I had just rolled out of bed and was looking hurt lol. We were immediately greeted by Ekaterina. She was super nice, and tried her best to help me find a bag for my mom. Eventually I told her we would just browse, so we did. She met back up with us when she saw me finally starting to decide on something, and she helped me make my final decision. My friend and I then made our way to the register with her to check out. Other than Ekaterina being friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, she was also very detail oriented; She remembered that I had mentioned it was a gift for my mom, so she took off the little bottom portion of the tag that says the price of the item, and gave me the receipt separately. Not sure if they do this at all MK stores-outlet or not, but I just thought her customer service was awesome. My friend even got something for his mom, too. I didn't interact with any other staff because they looked like they were busy still setting up for the day, but they all seemed friendly and approachable. If my mom ever needs any more MK and I happen to be in the area I will gladly go back here because of this positive experience. read more

I'm only giving 3 stars due to my previous experiences at this store. It was one of the main stores I'd make a point to go when I was in Gilroy. I walked in today like I normally do. I was greeted like I always am, and did a brief walk thru in the store. I was perfectly fine, in fact I was almost ready to buy a purse and a wallet, until one of the workers came out from the back. She was an older lady, possibly middle eastern with a slightly strong accent. She immediately approached me as I was debating if I wanted a matching wallet to my purse or a completely different one. It was fine at first. Then literally a minute later, she asks if I needed assistance. I refused it, I was doing great on my own. She walks two steps away and then turns around looks at the purse I was carrying, and immediately gives me the price to it. I never asked for it, price wasn't being considered in my purchases. I replied thank you, and she remained standing next to me as I looked through the purses features. I then proceeded to walk to one of the walls directly across from the cash register, she follows me. She asks me if she can put the stuff I was holding on the counter for me, I was comparing product why would I want her to do that? She walked slightly away from me, and then asked if I was ready to purchase. I completely ignored her at this point. Then as I walked to check out the wallets in front of the cash register. She continued to follow me and ask if I was ready. I was annoyed at this point. I decided to put my stuff back and just leave the store. Maybe it's because I had my tattoos showing, or because I'm a darker toned Mexican, either way, I'm leaving slightly broken hearted. So I definitely said "ok, can you do that then?"... she looked none too happy when I told her that.. and she said "ok you're going to have to wait because it's a busy day" and I said "that's fine" ... I waited for about 5 minutes, then some other lady came out with a post-it note with some numbers on it and I was able to get my money back. I never saw the original manager for the rest of the time there. IDK if it will work for people that waited a little while, because I went back the next day.. so yeah.. if you're trying to get your money back tell the manager to call the district manager and get an authorization code! 2 stars because I really do appreciate the girls that helped me back to get my money back, but I will never buy another Michael Kors anything for the rest of my life, for as long as I live. The customer service here is too over the top aggressive. The ratio of employees to customers is like 3 to 2. The two times I came in, I hurried out because I was constantly being bothered. I cannot enjoy shopping when every two seconds, they bug me about a purse or sale I am not interested in. I ended finding my Michael Kors bag at Nordstom Rack for about 10 bucks more than what the outlet had it for but at least I was able to enjoy the shopping experience, take my time to try on different ones and not have to feel rude by not wantung to talk to anyone. read more

Purchased a purse in January and just recently it started falling apart at the seam. Went into the store spoke to Jenna the store manager and she was so kind to exchange it for a new one. After spending almost $1000 in January I was disappointed that my purse started falling apart. But luckily Jenna swapped it with a new one and once again I was a happy customer. I always go shopping here for gifts for friends and family. The wallets and purses are always priced well. But I had an issue today when I went in. I went in today and purchased 5 wallets. Each wallet is for Christmas gifts for different people but they didn't want to give me a bag and tissue for each wallet. I even offered to do 5 separate transactions so I could get a little bag for each order but the cashier, Margarita, rudely told me I couldn't do so. Then I even offered to pay for each separate bag and they still said I couldn't do so. I don't see what the big issue was. When I have gone in before, they have been nice enough to give bags but for some reason this became a big ordeal. I spoke with the rude manager, Freddy, and he wasn't much help at all. Even after I offered to pay for the bags and even after I offered to do separate transactions. If I'm purchasing 5 wallets, I don't see what the issue would be in giving a little bag for each one since they are gifts for 5 different people. To make matters worse, the lady next to me got 2 bags for her order and she only purchased 2 purses. This will be the last time I come in. I was more than disappointed with my visit today and more than disappointed in the service provided to me by Margarita and the unprofessional manager, Freddy Barrios. read more
