We came here to take our friends for their birthday. The food was good and so was the wine. The cute park area was where we sat at. I do want to come by again for the flower picking we were told about but haven't food the time but then we missed the time. Check in took a little longer than I expected but it was our first time there so hopefully next time it won't be such a wait. Our girls enjoyed themselves as did my friends. Bathrooms are a bit of a distance (mainly for me because I was in a wheelchair) their wine tasting area looked small and also their restaurant area at the front which was very busy. I kinda didn't like that they brought out plastic cups for the wines but when we asked for glass they brought em out. My suggestion would be to ask your guests first perhaps because it made me feel like they didn't appreciate us with the plastic. Winery is located of Highway 12 in Lodi area. Lot of excellent wine choices and good atmosphere. Their food selection is pretty limited and they do draw a clear line between the café and the winery; no inner-sharing food between them too, you can't even buy a cup of coffee at the cafe to drink in the winery (even though the winery don't serve it). Food is limited to a small selection of mainly personal pizzas and sandwich type food, but what the food they had paired great with their wine selections. They day there, was pretty cold and was surprised they did not have any outdoor heaters. read more

My wife, two friends, and I ventured down to Lodi on Saturday to check out this winery that my friends are members at. They had made a 2:30pm reservation for a table service section that you can order wine by the bottle or sangria, as well as food. We decided on a bottle of white, a bottle of red, and two pizzas to share amongst us. The Sauvignon Blanc was crisp and refreshing and a great way to get us started before our pizzas came out. The Ink Blot Cabernet Franc was excellent as well - it's my favorite varietal . We got the spicy Sopresseta and the Tarte Flambee pizzas. The combo worked great as we split them between the 4 of us. Excellent doughy crust, a little char from the oven, and great toppings made these pizzas I would for sure order again. After the pizza we tried a Zinfandel and enjoyed that before heading up to the main room for a tasting. The grounds are really beautiful with water features, terraces, and even a kids area (no - the kids weren't too loud to ruin the ambiance at all). Grounds are very nice and also huge! It was such a far walk to our table and to the bathrooms based on where we were seated. Because of how spread out the grounds are the service is very slow due to this since the servers need to walk so far. They definitely should find a solution for that. **UPDATE 2025**This place is really pretty. SO much has changed since my last review in 2015. The Cafe part went from 5 to 2 stars. The place changed so much. The potatoe salad used to be my favorite. I was served some that had to come from the plastic tubs you get at a grocery store. I was disappointed. I got the combo half sandwich/salad/potato salad. Was fine. We moved outside to the wine tasting and it was packed on a Sat. That was expected but the reservation set up was a let down. The Bistro is a reservation system comes in time blocks. So a lot of people were turned away and ended up eating in cafe because the window closed. I know the people in my party wanted to order but the time schedule made it impossible. Same for wine tasting. Took near an hour to taste even tho the outside bar dwindle downed a lot. Crowds thinned out around 2pm. They have a ton of empty seating on the premises -the cushioned couches- but can't sit unless a reservation or order from bistro or a personal wine tasting set up. No one sat in them on a busy Sat. We had a nice time but the reservation for everything was a lot. Would've liked to try the Bistro. Maybe another time. read more

Visiting Lodi. I've been to wineries in Temecula and comparing the two cities, the wine pour portion for wine tasting in Lodi is small. It's cheaper so that maybe the reason. The sparkling wine Blancs de Blanc was so crisp and bubbly. I used 3 out of the 5 allotted tastings for this wine. Staff is very informative. They have a large dining patio area. The weather was cold and windy so we didn't get to try it. They recommend making reservations if you decide you want to eat in that area. read more

I've been told about this place by a few friends, so I finally decided to venture out. And I'm glad I did! To be right off Hwy 12, the grounds seem very private and quiet. The waterfalls were situated strategically, with plenty of greenery to go around. The service was great and I was greeted with enthusiasm. I didn't go into the tasting room as it was PACKED! Despite this, the vibe was inviting and chill. I ordered the pepperoni pizza and charcuterie box. The pizza was a bit too greasy for my taste however, the charcuterie box was nice. We stopped here on a fluke. We were actually going to another winery and we happened to come a different way and noticed the parking lot and decided to be nosey and stop to see why there was a full parking lot. WOW is all I can say! We were pleasantly shocked! From the minute we walked in the customer service was 5 star! We were privileged enough to have Cara tend to us and she made some amazing recommendations and told us all about the wine club! Let me tell you that we were wowed! Within 30 minutes we were club members and plucky for us it happened to be an event night! We not only signed up as members we also got tickets for the event that night! We left for an hour and came back about 10 minutes prior to them opening the doors for the event. We pulled up to a line about 2 blocks deep! We got in and got our wine glasses and tickets and found a seat. The BBQ was so good and the music was so classy. The wine of course was delicious! We are not wine people as we are barely learning but I will say that it is very tasty wine! We were privileged enough to have an employee be seated at our table and she educated us on the wine! Spent two days wine tasting in Lodi California and enjoyed this winery very much! They open early at ten o'clock so after a great breakfast at our B n B we were ready for some great wines and we were not disappointed! Curtis was our pourer for our appointment and was very friendly and knowledgeable about not only their wines but some great history and facts about how Lodi became famous for their wonderful Zinfandel wines. Very enjoyable tasting and experience here in addition to some great sculptures and grounds. Inside they boast wonderful pastries and pies in addition to a great gift shop and restaurant. Will definitely be back here and we even joined their wine club! The tasting fee is usually waived with wine purchase which is a pleasure to do!! read more

I haven't written a yelp review in years but felt compelled to do so today. We were in town for our son's baseball tournament and a few of the families planned a trip to come here to wine taste. The wines were decent and the grounds were very pretty. I'm writing a review based on how our party was treated. The place closed at 5 and we were still there at 5:20. Admittedly, that was wrong for us to be there past closing. A lady came up to us and told us "we are closed. You need to walk and talk". I thought that was pretty rude. She could've said "hey guys, we are closed and you to be on your way". On the way out, I needed to go to the bathroom since we had a 45 minute drive. When I tried to use the bathroom, I asked the person inside of if I could use the bathroom and she said very rudely "we are closed but whatever". Eventually a lady came out and said we could use the bathroom so I used it. I just can't wrap my brain around being so rude to customers that just spent a bunch of money at your place. I get that it's annoying that people stayed too late but there's a certain way to talk to people. If we do come up here for a tournament again, we definitely not come here and we will find different winery. read more

Congratulations for kicking 2 families out of the Area who were utilizing the chairs and tables in the very back by the waterfall and playground to breast feed. We know you have no problem with business and are always busy but that's a great way to lose family business who live locally from ever coming back. I ate at the cafe and I love it. The food is fresh, tasty and well, perfect. I had the fried chicken sandwich with the hot sauce. The chicken was crispy and fresh tasting, the bread perfect and the slaw on the sandwich was crunchy and tasty. It was a messy sandwich, so maybe have the sauce on the side. I had the french fries and they are batter dipped and again, great. My Mom had the vegetable sandwich and it was stellar. The vegetables were fresh, crunchy and blended well with the swiss cheese. You have to try it! The service is great and the atmosphere of the entire winery is lovely. A very popular winery, and larger than most in Lodi. My friend and I were squeezed into a tasting as walk ins right before they closed on a Sunday. The outdoor area is beautiful and spacious especially on a nice day. They also have a retail store with wine and snacks/baked goods. We were served by Danny and he was ah-mazing. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Based on this experience, I would recommend and come back next time I'm in Lodi. read more

Got in early for a full hearty breakfast at the cafe! I ordered the French toast breakfast & added potatoes. This can easily be shared with two! Brought out hot from the kitchen with very little wait even with a packed house! French toast was soft with a slight crunch on the edges but not soggy in the middle! Our waitress was friendly and checked on us often! After breakfast we ventured to our tasting. We didn't have a reservation so we waited about 15-20 mins. I believe Vanessa took care of us?! She was great! Definitely set the bar for the rest of winery tour in Lodi. Loved that she gave us background on the property and the family owned wine. She was definitely strategic with her recommendations and asked great questions to get to know us and our preferences. 30 mins later we all walked out with a couple of bottles. My favorite was the misfits and mavens- a crisp Sauvignon Blanc a beautiful label with a great taste! A beautiful property- that I am looking forward to exploring my next visit. Nice little winery in Lodi. We visited Dec 2024. We booked a wine tasting for 3. First recommendation would be staff need to be more alert and vocal especially if you enter in by market and restaurant. We had to ask where to check in for reservation. Staff at tasting venue were great and very knowledgeable. I would recommend if you're already familiar with their wines just walk into tasting room purchase a bottle and go sit outside to enjoy it. The tasting room is technically standing only. We ate at their farm house restaurant. Food was actually pretty good. Purchased A bacon cheeseburger, Black & bleu cheeseburger and grilled chicken blt with garlic fries. The garlic fries were super good! So were the burgers. Good portions. Spent around $67 for 3 people. Unfortunately part of the grounds by the water/waterfalls were taped off so couldn't enjoy that portion of the grounds including the bocce ball area. At this moment in time, this is my first experience at a winery and my party and I had a lovely time. We visited at the beginning of November and it had been decorated with pumpkins to fit the Fall theme. You could tell the place was well kept and offered various experiences from sit-down to the booths (which you reserve for 2 hours) and wine tastings as well. The bonus is the gift shop on the property too. We had lucked out with the weather and truly enjoyed ourselves sitting at the booth and ordering a variety of bottles, pizzas, and charcuterie. Our server was so nice and attentive to our needs and gave us plenty of space to enjoy our time there. This is a winery I would visit again and order the pepperoni pizza as well!! read more

Beautiful place. I'm knocking off one star because we got seated in the one table in our area that was not under the shade and it was a super hot day, table and chairs were too hot to even touch. We asked the hostess if there might be another table that was more covered and she said to hold on and she would go check for us and left us there. Well she never came back. That was kind of irritating. Anyways, our server finally came and we told her the hostess was gonna check on another table for us but never came back but we requested maybe if we could have one of the umbrellas that were around other shaded tables moved to us and she gladly moved one to our table. Problem solved! I loved that all the tables throughout the whole place were nicely spread out. Most tables basically had their own private seating area. It was beautiful and very "covid" friendly for being that way. We were seated in the kids area (because that was the only reservation left available) and it would've been perfect if we had our kids with us because you could basically just watch them play in the play area that's right in front of your seats. The tables in the kids seating area wasn't as private as the rest of the seating areas, but it was still spaced out just fine. We enjoyed our wine and food, I think my most favorite item of everything we ordered was the chorizo shrimp burger. It was amazing!!! Would definitely recommend this place to others! read more
