I was a bit skeptical at first, but once I arrived and saw the owner roasting his own beans outside, my concerns were quickly put to rest. Overall, the coffee shop is great. The baristas are always friendly and helpful, and even though the place is often busy and packed, their customer service never falters. As for the drinks, I can only speak to their espresso and basic coffee, but in that area, they do not disappoint. While I don't think the roast is quite as good as Beacon, it is a very strong second in the area. Whenever I'm in Oxnard, I don't hesitate to stop by Dolce Vita for a great caffeinated drink.

The kitchen was overwhelmed by online orders as they were turning away walk-in customers who being told it would be an hour before they'd get their food. Management needs to better balance takeout volume with the experience of guests sitting in the restaurant. When you're cranking out food that's not representing you well, it's time to step back and rethink what you're doing.

This is not only a restaurant, but it is also a market that has lots of Good selections and is quite nice. The service was amazing when I walked in the door one of the family members who owned the place greeted me personally showed me around and told me how the food ordering works.
