I have to say we had a just okay experience here a couple years ago, that said, they really upped their game. The staff is very nice! The food got a lot better! They also have tamales(pork). My mom can be a fussy eater. We went out for lunch, and we both had combos, and I like to usually order a la carte tamale. I told my mom that she could non try some, and share it if she liked it. Well I think she is hooked on tamales now too. She really really liked the sauce they smother the tamale in. With the combos you can get, several different options for fillings. I pretty much always go with the shredded beef! They also have a homemade hot sauce you have to ask for. It is spicy! If you have read some of my reviews, I often talk about my spice addiction. This will not disappoint if you need some fire in your belly. As a former server/bartender I would say this restaurant is kid friendly. My friend, and I have gone out with her small daughter, and we have a nice time here. They have a kids menu, and yes you can get your kiddo a pizza meal with French fries, while you enjoy some family cooked food. Tuesday is probably the busiest day, with beer, and taco specials, as well as there normal m-f affordable, and fast lunch specials. I have been here several times in the last months, and I am super happy to have this as an option for dine in, and take away in this rural area. Hope it is a fixture in Peterborough for years to come.

Not horrible, not great. Typical Tex Mex style food . The good: service was friendly and fast. Chips and salsa were served before the meal, and the portions were.a good size for the price. The bad: The food was way over salted, they didn't offer anything but ground beef for tacos, and the food was really greasy. I would recommend coming here if you really want to have Mexican food and your only other option is Taco Bell. The atmosphere is really nice and everyone was very friendly. I just prefer a more authentic flavor with less salt and less grease.

Complimentary salsa and chips! I'm impressed already!

When the craving for real Mexican food hits, La Piñata Mexican Grill in Jaffrey is always top of…read moremind. It's one of those neighborhood spots where you know you're getting huge flavor, cold drinks, and a great meal every time you sit down. You really can't skip starting with the chips. Their guacamole is fresh, creamy, and seasoned just right, and the queso is warm, rich, and dangerously easy to finish. My wife almost always lands on the fish tacos. The fish is tender, well-seasoned, and packed with a bright, zesty flavor that makes every bite hit the spot. I've sampled my fair share of the menu over time. The Choripollo that hearty combo of juicy chicken, savory chorizo, and melted cheese is pure comfort food. I've also worked my way through pretty much every taco they offer, and while you can't go wrong with any of them, the Piñata Tacos are hands-down my favorite. The mix of fillings and spices in those is just elite. To wash it all down, they keep a solid lineup of cold beers on tap, but their margaritas are the real headliners. Every one we've tried is delicious, but The Rave takes the crown if you like a little kick. The fresh jalapeños give it that perfect spicy bite against the cool citrus. Beyond the food, the service here really deserves a nod. The staff is always welcoming, attentive, and quick on their feet, making the whole experience feel easy and genuinely hospitable from the moment you walk through the door. Whether you're grabbing a casual dinner or looking for kickass margaritas and tacos on the weekend, La Piñata never misses.

I think it's important to share feedback not only for other diners but also for restaurants owners/…read moreoperators. While it has been awhile since I last wrote a review I thought this dining experience warranted one. Experience: - The Square is super cute and offers ample parking. -The bathrooms smell awful, from the moment you walk in the hallway there is clearly a plumbing issue present which has been present our last two visits.. rough way to start your experience at a restaurant. -The menu, no issue with prices going up but using white out over the prices, hand writing new prices which is barely legible is tacky to say the least. -Following our order the food came out nearly immediately and it was clear the guacamole to our main dishes are made in advance and not done well. - To the mgmt team -3% surcharge to use a credit card is a joke, add it to your price or offer a cash/ debit discount not the other way around. On the food side: -The beans were prepared with way too much salt.. inedible was the way we would describe it.. -Mexican rice was awful. No sign of a single vegetable or herbs... Mexican rice should and can be made flavorful with ease by any chef. -The guacamole was clearly made well in advance and brown... I'm sorry, happy to pay a premium for guac at a restaurant but this product shows no effort to ensure freshness. -Main dishes , both submerged in oil and our chicken was served nearly cold... fajitas served lukewarm and lacking flavor which seems hard to do but that was our experience. - Drinks - the unsweetened ice tea was served carbonated for some odd reason from their soda machine... not drinkable sorry. Service: - servers were kind and attentive, checking in routinely for anything we may need which was deeply appreciated. After a few shots at this restaurant we both agreed there is a reason the restaurant is empty, the food , the ambiance, the overall experience for our hard earned money. TLDR for the restaurant - take pride in your food, take a fresh look at the diners experience, Mexican food should be vibrant, flavorful and delicious, this is by far the worst finished product we have ever had in NH and simply put not worth a visit unless something drastic changes.
