I LOVE Mi-Durango!! Whenever I'm in the Lancaster area, I make sure to stop for lunch at Mi-Durango. The food is stellar and they have this special taco that has so much flavor, you'll be thinking about it for weeks. You just have to mention the special taco, it has a long name and I can never remember LOL. But the flavor is unforgettable. The chips are good, the salsa is perfect for this non spicy girl and the service is always spot on. On top of everything, you can't beat the prices. We have a ride planned to this place with our HOG chapter so I figured Deb and I should come here just to make sure it was a good place to bring the chapter. I am happy to report that it is. Its a bit hard to find, its in a strip mall by a gym. Being by the gym makes parking a bit difficult but we found parking. When you walk in its a quaint little place with nice furnishings. They have a nice menu but some of it can be confusing, they have several kinds of meat dishes that I had no idea what they were, but upon asking it was explained to us. I ordered the Perez Burrito with what they call Durango meat. Its beef, chorizo and bacon meat. Anyone who knows me knows they had me at bacon. Deb ordered 2 soft shell tacos one with carnitas the other with Durango. My burrito was huge, both of us could have ate off it and was covered with enchilada sauce. The combination of meat was really good and the sauce was nice without a hint of bitterness. Debbie's tacos were equally as good. Overall this was a good find and I am happy to report that we will have a good ride here when we bring the chapter here. Very good place to eat. read more

We are not from this area and in fact have never been here before. We had developed a craving from some Mexican food and did a quick Yelp search. Our criteria??? Non-chain, family owned with good ratings. Mi Durango fit. First of all, if you weren't a local you would never notice this place. It's in a commercial strip mall wedged between several non-food related businesses. When we first pulled into the parking lot we weren't so sure, didn't look like anyone was here, but the sign said Open. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and very clean. We were greeted, seated and allowed time to peruse the menu. We made our choices - which wasn't easy - and our food arrived after a short amount of time - which made us appreciate the fact that it was made to order, not fast food! Both of our meals were excellent. Fresh and full of flavor. The carnitas burrito was proclaimed one of the best ever as were the tacos. We will be back and would not hesitate to recommend this local, family owned restaurant to everyone! read more

Seriously this place is fantastic. Please overlook the strip mall location. The interior is well maintained and clean. They clearly reinvest in the business. The woman who helped us was the owner. She was super personable and cute. She brought us out 4 different types of salsas. All wee home made by her. My wile and I loved them. I lived the thin red salsa. I would recommend this Mexican spot. I stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch and had there taco plate which comes with 3 tacos rice & beans.. I chose the asada tacos which were good. & cheap!! The plate was 4.99. Which also comes with chips, salsa.. I liked this place because it was very CLEAN!! The restaurant is also very spacious which makes a big difference if your dining in. Ok I'll be honest I drove past it the first time get the first. But I was hungry and it was close to so I turned around. When I saw the picture of the number one special I knew I had to get that. Boy did I make the right choice! The taco was classic Tex Mex it reminded me of when I was a boy in Texas. Well made and delicious. Solid experience. Not too loud, World Series on the TV which is great. Light meal of shrimp/fish tacos (grilled not fried) with substitute of refrieds instead of salad. If the check hadn't been $60 after tip (which was given only because I don't usually hold the waiter/waitress accountable for the quality of the food) I wouldn't have even bothered with a review. My family of 5 ordered the Nachos Supreme with carne asada, the kids quesadilla plate, and 3 orders of the 2 taco plate: hard shells with chicken. The only decent thing on the table was the chips and salsa. Everything we actually ordered was so incredibly below mediocre that my we went home not only disappointed but somewhat shocked at the yelp status this place holds. Nothing looked or tasted like it was made there, (besides maybe the salsa served with the chips) the taco shells were obviously store bought and not even toasted well, the rice had zero flavor, the nachos tasted generic, and the baby didn't even take 2 bites of the quesadilla. My other kids thought the beans were ok. It's pretty bad when you leave thinking you would've fared better at Taco Bell both in flavor and in your pocketbook... Disclaimer: we despise Taco Bell. It was amazing that the quality of the food fell so short of the price charged and the expectation going in from yelp. To set the scene: the place was just about empty, with just my family and 2 guys that came in at the same time we did... I can't even blame a crowd. The taco shells bug me the most; most pics on here show what looks like freshly fried shells. I don't even buy those store shells myself for homemade tacos, I sure as hell don't appreciate paying $8.99 a plate for them. read more
