By far, the most authentic Mexican food. from several different regions of Mexico. I have been looking for a good Chili Rellano in this valley since I moved here 20 years ago. Found this place by accident. I was getting my hair done next door at Escape Salon (recommend Tanya too! Lol) Decided to get a to go order, because I didn't want to cook. Was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't your "typical" Mexican food that we have so much of here in the valley. Went back and dined in a few days later. The service wasn't so great, but the food was jus incredible. Wish they had a real "bar" they serve mixed drinks but made with mixers. At any rate, very much worth a trip! =0) read more

Came in for lunch and ordered the carne Asada tacos plate. I have never eaten at a Tex-mex restaurant before, so I didn't know what to expect. The meat and rice had no seasoning, it was very bland. The salsa and beans were good, service was pretty good. I don't think I will be back. read more

I see that this place has great reviews which they truly do deserve when it comes to there food. The food is great but what I don't agree on is the customer service. Paying customers shouldn't have to be pressured by a worker on how there food should be served to them. If I purchased a burrito and I want certain things on the side and not in the burrito at that time because I plan to eat it later that shouldn't be a issue. Her problem with this was because they have to pay for the little to go containers after I paid $15 of my money for their food. Great food but serve your customers so they want to come back. I will never go back and spend my money and have to deal with attitude over containers. There is way to many Mexican spots in this area to have to deal with that kind of service. read more

I love, love, love this place. I tried it because all of the reviews were so positive. I went back a second time the next week. After I went the second time, I woke up the next day craving it. I didn't get anything fancy, although my bf tried and loved the mocajete (sp?). I had a combo plate with a chicken taco and cheese enchilladas. I recommend this place every chance I get. I found this place on Yelp on my way back to LA from Death Valley. The waiter was very friendly, the place was clean, and the food was phenomenal! I am converted to Tex Mex -- the meal was one of the best at any Mexican restaurants I've had in a long while, and it was cheap too! Highly recommended! Pretty good food! The carnitas were bomb! The spoke was great! Rice could use some work and the chips and salsa are only free for one bowl then u have to pay for more. But other than that food was good and we never would have found it without yelp! read more

Myself having the Molcajete. Very Good!! Tasty with just the right amount of heat! Would definitely have it again. My wife had the tomales combo. She liked it, but did feel there was a lack of flavoring (unlike my molcajete). She did ask for and got some spicier salsa which she was happy about. Nice clean restaurant. This is the best restaurant I've been to in California. The food is amazing and the staff is incredibly friendly. I would take the 12 hour flight back to California just to eat at this restaurant. A great mix of authentic Mexican food with American familiarity. read more

I've probably passed this place a million times and never noticed it until a couple of friends introduced us to it. Tucked away in a strip mall, the restaurant doesn't quite stand out. However, after giving it a try, we've also found it worthy enough to introduce our other friends to it. The serving sizes are large for the price you pay, and the ingredients are fresh and each plate full of flavor. This place is a great value, and we will definitely continue visiting! read more

Absolutely wonderful dining experience! I went in for lunch and didn't have a whole lot of time. I was lucky to be seated immediately and placed my order right away. Within 4-5 minutes, I was eating some of the most authentic Mexican food I have ever had since actually living in Mexico! This place is great! The wait staff could not be friendlier and my bill was so small for a massive plate of tacos and rice and beans. I cannot wait to return and polish off another fantastic dish! read more

The green chilaquiles. I was told that they were a popular item, so i ordered mine without eggs. To my surprise and delight the chilaquiles were absolutely delicious, the taste was fresh with very simple ingredients. The tortillas had a crunch and were not soggy or greasy, the green salsa was light, but it had so much flavor with just the perfect amount of heat. I dont know what kind of cheese they used, but it was fantastic, with just a hint of queso fresco. The service was excellent, I did not feel like a customer, but more like a family member. This restaurant has great, friendly, and fast service. They had fresh flavorful Horchata and good strong coffee. Awesome homemade tortillas and the enchiladas were great; the tortillas of the enchiladas were well cooked and weren't soggy like other restaurants enchiladas. Pretty wackkkkk! I don't know if I came in on an off night, but I'll never go back. I ordered the Perez burrito.. The sauce that it's drenched in is cold and tastes burnt.. There's no sour cream or guacamole inside but sooo much lettuce, it's unbelievable. Thumbs down. I got an horchata, I had to return it.. It was grainy, and had an off flavor. I also got 5 of their "famous" tacos.. No flavor at all.. No seasoning, very oily tortilla.. Really disappointed and have no idea how this place has such great reviews. I drove across town and paid way more than Mexican restaurants in hopes for some bomb food. It totally sucked. read more

OMG been going there forever and last night took a client and waited in a restaurant that was empty for 45 minutes for our food. Then it came cold. It would improve significantly if the cook would fry the pork and onions with higher heat and a bit longer so it would caramelize a bit. It came with luke warm beans, and two strips of bacon.
