My friend and I accidentally ordered the regular chicken fajitas (instead of the flaming) which I really wanted to try. The chicken fajitas were very good and they were enough to share, but I would recommend not sharing them if you are hungry. We were also given the obligatory chips and salsa which I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed the salsa on my fajita. We ordered two specialty drinks which were good, but overpriced for what you received. However, it was a one time only trip, so I had to imbibe. To be honest, I enjoyed the candy that came in the drinks more that the drink itself. The restaurant's decor is very nice. Of course, I especially liked the tree made with candy suckers. The service was excellent! The waitress was very patient with us as we decided on what drinks to order! The only reason I too a star away is due to the value of the drinks. Mi Cozumel is my family's favorite place to celebrate! Whether it's a birthday or just post game celebration, it's a place we can go to eat good and have a great time together. They're great at serving large parties. It's a very lively environment so I wouldn't recommend if you have sensory issues. The Tri-County location is the best, their food is consistently good! This is one place that I can say the takeout is just as good as eating in the restaurant. And THE DRINKS! The drinks are pricey but they are AMAZING. There's always something new on the menu to try. This was a nice experience the food was very flavorful and service was exceptional. The downfall was I am not a fan of the Chips very stale we also requested some more and they were the same. The drinks they have a big selection of cool and funny drinks they are a little pricey but two people can share one and be happy. They also have a two tier patio for anyone who like to eat outside. I came here with 4 other friends for a few drinks and a meal. Myself and 1 friend walked in and on a Thursday at 6:30pm and it was packed inside. So we sat on the patio to wait for the rest of our group to show up. The waiter came out and took care of us. I ordered a horchata margarita that was super yummy. Then I got a torta carnitas that was perfectly prepared. Eventually I ordered a second horchata margarita. We all enjoyed our food and drinks. I don't think anyone complained about anything. I will be back and will be trying other food and drink items. Just remember the May be packed if you show up on a busy night which I find interesting as they are one of the only places left in tri county mall. I've been following this place in Instagram for months and couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit on a quick daytrip to Ohio. If you haven't visited the social media site please do. The drinks are fun and massive. Due to a time crunch I didn't have a lot of time to view the menu. I asked for a fun margarita on the rocks and the attached photo is what I received. Although I didn't have time to eat I ordered one shrimp taco and it was just as good. This is a great place to enjoy with friends and family. ~I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could!~ I recently visited Mi Cozumel and was excited to try out their famous drinks that I had heard so much about. I must admit, the drinks we ordered were fun and creative, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. During my meal, I was horrified to see a roach crawling around our table. It completely took away any positive aspects of the restaurant. How can a place that serves food be so careless about their hygiene standards? It's disgusting and a huge health violation. To add insult to injury, the prices of the food were quite high for what was offered. Sure, the food was good, but after seeing the roach crawling around all that went out the window. Especially when they acted so nonchalant about us pointing it out to them, and rather than taking the food away or reducing our bill they brought us multiple free shots of liquor (on top of the drinks we had already ordered) that I strongly feel was an attempt to take advantage of my groups sobriety and to sweep the roach under the rug. One of the shots offered to me was served in a syringe that resembled male genitalia. To make matters worse, the male waiter continued to insist that I try it even after I had clearly stated no. He shoved the syringe into my face multiple times, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. My personal boundaries were not being respected and I was completely forced into taking a shot I had no desire to try, I believe this was borderline sexual harassment as I was under the influence and should've been respected by the staff. Overall, I would not recommend Mi Cozumel. Yes, some of the drinks were fun, but that doesn't make up for the disgusting roach situation, overpriced food and lack of respect. I suggest the restaurant focus on cleanliness, fair pricing and not taking advantage of female customers before anything else. They need to have a visit from the health inspector before they open their doors again, imagine how many roaches their paying customers have eaten and how many other woman were sexually harassed like I was. read more

When my friends invited me to dinner at tri-county, I didn't realize they meant in the actual mall! This is attached to the mall, which you can access from the inside or outside next to Macy's. We went out for girls night and had a blast! The drink menu is has so many choices and lots of frozen flavors. The staff is fun and will sing and give a shot if it's your birthday. The drinks set a high standard for the food. But the food delivers! It is awesome! I have tried many things here. Elote- soooo good. Lobster nachos-- if you think lobster Mac and cheese is good, you HAVE to try lobster nachos. The queso is perfect with lobster. Burritos-- as big as your face. I recommend splitting. Queso-- so much queso I call it a "queso boat". The menu is MASSIVE. I recommend picking something that sounds good and confidently order it. Don't spend 45 min reading the entire menu, like I did my first time there. Everything is good. You won't be disappointed. I have been to both locations. Both are clean and lively. Highly recommend this restaurant! This is a new restaurant located at the Tri-County mall. The service wasn't over the top but the food was! The decor and food are truly authentic. They did a good job keeping everything nice and clean. The prices are little high compared to other Mexican restaurants, but the food fresh, flavorful, and of high quality and you do get a lot for your money. As soon as you're seated they bring you complimentary chips and salsa. My husband and I split the "Special Dinner" and we were glad we did. It was huge! For $17.99 we got one burrito, one enchilada, one taco, one tostada, one tamale, and one chile relleno, served with beans and rice. Our son got the "Deluxe Burrito" for $10.99, he got one burrito stuffed with beef, rice, and beans; and one burrito stuff with chicken, rice, and beans. They brought out new after our food was already at the table and it had so much line juice that my cheeks puckered. I ordered 2 street tacos supremes. One steak, one pulled pork. They didn't come out supreme and the little steak that was in it was charred and I could only taste the burnt flavor. Manager said they don't do a wait list because they don't have the staff and the food mistakes were because they were busy. My experiences at Mi Cozumel have been consistently good. I especially enjoy the Lobster Enchiladas. I took a friend on a Sunday (prior to the pandemic) and the place was packed! There was a Mexican band who played and brought the house down! It was a fun and lively atmosphere. So much that he wants to go everytime he visits Cincy. Fast forward to my most recent experience, I enjoyed their patio dining while we've had unseasonably warmer temps and the Passion Fruit Margarita along with my Lobster Enchiladas just make me forget my worries. My cousin called and made reservations for 17 people, mind you, she inquired if they would be able to accommodate a group this size, they said no problem! I received cold queso and I reminded our waiter of my Margarita 4 times and never received it. The food was really good with large portions. My husband were and Cincinnati Ohio celebrating our wedding anniversary and his 78th birthday. One of the places I had heard so much about and wanted to pass it was Mi Cozumel. So we went there for lunch one day and had great service. We were welcomed upon entry and was greeted by everyone who work there. Being it was my first time there I was not sure what to order. Can't remember the name of the item that I did order but it was very good. The steak was a rib eye. Portion size was huge. I only could eat half of it and I took the other half back to our hotel to eat later. I would definitely recommend this dish. Since I was the driver I could not order a cocktail like I wanted to. The ever-present churn of faux-salsa pop music, punctuated by the no fewer than three birthdays that will be celebrated during your meal. Mi Cozumel is a sickening reminder that for every taco truck, every hole-in-the-wall taqueria, there is its opposite number, a palace of grease and sin. With a menu that would make the infamous Cheesecake Factory phonebook blush (which confusingly includes Fettuccine Alfredo, King Crab, and Hamburgers along exhaustive lists of every combination of "rice, tortilla, protein, beans" you can imagine), you'll be seated quickly, your order taken promptly by one of the many servers, all equipped with earpieces that give them the bizarre appearance of being Secret Service agents press-ganged into serving burritos in the rapidly cooling corpse of a mall. The restaurant is busy, sure, but with the number of tables it is rare that you'll have to wait for a seat. It is around this time that the first birthday party will begin. The food isn't "bad", exactly, it's just that the vast majority of what you'll eat will taste identical to the dramatically different dishes that are around the room. The secret, I suspect, is an over reliance on a spice cabinet to mask the low quality of the ingredients, leading to the pervading flavor being "soy sauce and chili powder". From what I could spot, food is cooked in large batches, then portioned out to meet orders, leading to some inconsistencies in what you will exactly receive from visit to visit. Mi Cozumel is only two stars as a bar, rather than a restaurant. The menu is your enemy, but this is a wonderful place to sit down, have a beer or a margarita, and watch a soccer game with the complimentary chips and salsa. Maybe after a few you'll try a taco (the tacos al pastor appear to be one of the few dishes cooked to order). Just don't open the menu too wide. read more

Came in hoping to enjoy a nice meal here. We ordered cheese dip, a side of fries and a combo meal with a beef quesadilla and chicken chalupa that came with a side of rice and beans. Cheese came out cold, I'm a server myself and hate to complain so I thought maybe we could take it with and heat it up at home. Then the food came out, the beef quesadilla came out as a chicken quesadilla, not a big deal but when they brought the beef one out it way too salty and over-seasoned, it was disgusting. The chalupa wasn't a soft shell as we had expected, it was hard which would have been okay but it was drenched and soggy over top of the beans. The fries were drenched in grease. We were really annoyed that the food was so disappointing and we didn't touch anything besides a bite of my quesadilla and a few chips. We decided to leave. Our server Ana came out as we were leaving and we explained to her it was really disappointing food and we did not want any of it. The manager, I believe his name was Alando (spelling may be off) then came over as well and told us he would call the police if we did not pay for our check. We gave them $50 and left. You only need one unless you wanna stumble out Their food is really great - they give you nice size shrimps and the food comes out with so much flavor and the veggies are really tender. The food was delicious I had the street tacos with soft shells. The chips and salsa was great. The drinks were the highlight of the visit. They were perfect in size, not too sweet and just the right amount of alcohol. The fruit and straws add a fun spin to the festive atmosphere.
