Nails look great every time no matter the service including gel, gel removal, regular polish, nail art, builder gel, nail repair, etc. It always looks good. Their prices are reasonable and they have a rewards program. They have a fridge with really nice drinks and snacks and plenty of hot tea as well. They have cute free-bees at the front like pins and hair accessories. I think they have wine but I don't partake. They have a huge selection of polish including my favorite OPI. Many polishes and all of them in good, new condition, not the dusty old dried up stuff you find in some of these places. And I really like all the staff and the atmosphere. Being there is pleasant. They also must not use certain types of harsh chemicals or maybe they have good ventilation because it never smells bad.

I decided to give Sen Nail Spa a try because they are new and conveniently located close to my…read morehouse. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. I initially got a new set with Will. There was some confusion because he misunderstood that I wanted tips, and after having difficulty getting the tips to adhere, he eventually buffed them and got them to stick. I specifically asked if they would be okay, and he assured me everything was fine. Within a week, I noticed my natural nails were lifting. I returned for a refill, and a different technician cut my nails down and glued my natural nails. Unfortunately, they began lifting again. I returned and saw Will again. Yesterday, he glued my nails down once more and applied a top coat. By the very next day, several of my nails were lifting again. I contacted the salon and was told to come in at 4:00 p.m. so they could fix them. I made the trip and waited nearly 30 minutes, only to then be told by someone at the front desk that I would have to PAY to have them fixed because their policy only covers repairs within seven days and I was on the ninth day. That was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I have now made multiple trips to the salon, spent a significant amount of time trying to get these nails fixed, and the same problem continues to happen. The work simply has not held up, and I don't feel I should be charged to correct a problem that has existed from the beginning. I understand having a salon policy, but there should also be some consideration for the circumstances, especially when the customer has repeatedly returned because the service was not properly holding up. Unfortunately, I left feeling that my time and money were wasted. I really wanted to like this salon and support a new local business, but based on my experience, I will not be returning.

I was greeted with a very dry "How can I help?" which unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the visit. I waited about 15 minutes, which was fine. The nail tech who assisted me had just finished a pedicure. When she sat me down, she immediately reached for my hands while still wearing the same gloves from her previous service. I gently asked whether they were fresh gloves (I already knew they weren't), and she sighed, removed them, and continued without washing her hands. Because I work in the medical field, this made me extremely uneasy -- gloves that were just in pedicure water should never be used from one service to the next. From that point on, every tool she used made me wonder if it had been properly sanitized. Instead of enjoying the service, I spent the entire appointment worried about hygiene and "what ifs." Throughout the full set application, she barely spoke to me, so I didn't feel comfortable asking questions aside from reminding her about a corner of acrylic that hadn't been filled. The nails themselves are nothing special to comment on. They do offer a quick 60-second hand and back massage afterward, which was unexpected but pleasant. I also noticed the same dry, dismissive energy from the person who greeted me on Another customer who tried making small talk about the weather, and the tech replied, "I don't pay attention to the weather," in a very blunt tone. The customer looked uncomfortable. On a positive note, there was one tech -- I believe her name was Gigi ? -- who came in with a client waiting for her. She was upbeat, warm, and so friendly. I genuinely found myself wishing she could have taken over my set. This was my first visit to this salon, and unfortunately, I don't think I'll return.

If I can prevent even one person from having the same awful experience I had, I will be thankful. I…read morewas promptly greeted and requested a full acrylic set. My service began with the removal of existing gel polish. I wanted long, nude almond nails with a sculpted apex and provided an inspiration photo. The nail tech brought out gel-x nail extensions and I reminded them that I wanted acrylic nails. They switched the extensions for stiletto nail tips and cut them down. The technician asked if I wanted builder gel and I explained I wanted powder acrylic with a sculpted apex. At this point I thought we were on the right track and expected cuticle work to commence, but that was never offered or discussed. Next, they applied a base gel on top of both the nail tip and my natural nail before asking me to place my hand under the light. When curing was complete, the nail tech opened the same jar of builder gel I had previously said I didn't want to try. They repeatedly told me it was "healthier for my nail". At this point I figured they were the professional and would give me the same outcome as the acrylic I was persistent in requesting and continued service. The builder gel application was thick and uneven. Because I had requested acrylic, I assumed that everything would be filed down with an e-file for a sculpted finish. I asked if they would build the apex at some point and the tech asked why I wanted that and seemed altogether unfamiliar with what an apex was. It felt odd that I had to explain I wanted an apex because that is what I like and it provides strength for long nails. They became annoyed at this and applied an entire second layer of builder gel on top of what was already done. The nails looked positively atrocious at this point, comically bulky and uneven. I was holding onto hope that they would, of course?, be filed and shaped with the e-file. Instead, the edges were hand filed to as much of an almond shape as could be managed with how much bulk there was at the tip of my nails. The nail tech asked if I liked them and I seriously thought they were joking. I said no, absolutely not, they're extremely thick and bulky. All of the workers in the salon stood around me, holding my hands and speaking rapidly in their native language before the nail tech said, "Fine, I remove," and pretty roughly tried to clip them off. They were so thick that they could not be cut with clippers and I was passed off to another nail tech who had to file them down. They were going to re-do the set, but I didn't have any time left at this point and told them that. I wouldn't have stayed if I had all the time in the world. I didn't know what to expect for payment, but would have been willing to pay for the removal of the gel that I came in with. I can only surmise that the rest of the employees knew it was an unacceptable set to pay for because I was told I could leave and not have to pay. I am left with tissue-thin nails that are flaring out at the sides, left over builder gel in some places, and uncared for cuticles. I have never had this type of experience in 25+ years of visiting nail salons. Extremely disappointing.
