    Parsnip Soup- really good!!!
    Vicky P.

3 course tasting meal not to be missed! I think I'm now obsessed with parsnip soup. Loved the apple they paired with it... it is perfect. I got the Bistro Steak, it was perfectly cooked. There were lots of windows so we could watch the snow coming down. Great, more traditional, dining atmosphere. We went on a Friday night and had a reservation, which I would recommend since they were very full.

My husband and I agreed that we should've chosen Mezze for our anniversary dinner instead of John Andrews Farmhouse. People were dressed much nicer at Mezze (we had felt overdressed at John Andrews) and there were white tablecloths, which gives a feel for a more special occasion experience. The food was so much better too. The restaurant is split into several rooms (it looks like a house from the outside). At first we were led to a table in the middle room, but we saw that the back room had more natural lighting from the large windows and it felt more open, so we asked to be seated there instead, and they accommodated us. I love a pre fixe menu, where the chef makes sure everything on it is good! I appreciated all the flavors in our dishes, it felt truly farm to table where the ingredients were fresh. I love the creativity of the menu, and I appreciate that the vegetable course is not just a boring salad. We had the chilled asparagus soup and roasted hen of the woods & oyster mushrooms as the first course. For the second course, we had the bolognese and bistro steak. The bistro steak was very flavorful, even though it came with a sauce on the side, it didn't need it. For dessert, we had the skyr tart and coconut panna cotta, which were terrific as well. There was complimentary bread and olive oil, which was good too. From start to finish, we enjoyed our meal. They did serve the first two courses a bit quickly (okay, it is true that my husband and I eat fast) but we told our server to slow it down a bit after the second course, and she did listen to us. I'd highly recommend this restaurant!

Our first time here and was recommended to us as a place to try. We made a reservation for last seating of 8:30 and they were able to oblige. Driving up to the reataurant, we were amazed at a breadth of the place. Extremely upscale and charming. When we got seated, we were given a price fixed menu of $60...which we didn't know upfront. The wait staff mentioned we could sit at the bar to order a la carte and few minutes later, our waitress kindly explained to us and also allowed us the option of ordering a la carte at our table. That was extremely accommodating and a definite big plus in our eyes. My son got from the price fixed menu, of which he got pasta chicken broth soup to start as an appetizer. He enjoyed the aroma of the broth but thought that was just alright. He got the bistro steak medium rare which was cooked to perfection. It also came with some small potatoes which was cooked perfectly and had a good crunch to it. For dessert, he got the chocolate cake with one scoop of vanilla ice cream. The cake was stupendously large and moist. My wife and I shared the grilled zucchini for appetizer and it basically was four thinly sliced zucchini grilled and drizzled in some type of amazing sauce. That was extremely tasty. I had the bistro steak for my entree whereas my wife had the shrimp scampi. This dish typically come over a plate of pasta but they were able to satisfy my wife's request since she has gluten allergy and put it over a bed of salad. All in all, amazing food and fabulous decor. Plus, our waitress was super attentive, helpful, and also gave my son a free taste of a non-alcoholic drink. We very much appreciate the service and highly recommend this place.

Both service and food quality were excellent! Chicory salad and shaved fennel were delicious as was the perfectly cooked hanger steak.

Best balance of cuisine and ambience in the area. Price is fair for the quality of ingredients and skill.

This is a very quaint and antique-ish restaurant which makes you feel like you're in your living…read moreroom. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were very good. I had the New York strip with lobster. Unfortunately the steak was a bit dry and tough (I oredered it medium). But the lobster was great, served in a little bowl already peeled with butter and ready to eat! It seems my meal may have been sitting for a while. Way too much mashed potatoes and green beans! I could barely cut the steak because the plate was so full. The hubby ordered the mussel puttanesca which he LOVED. The sauce was delicious and it was nice and hot. For dessert we had the brownie with chocolate ice-cream. Brownie was nice and warm. Server was friendly. Their bar has limited options so don't expect anything too fancy!

Saltimbocca entree was terrible. It came as a chicken cutlet a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on top.-not melted or rolled as recipe calls for- Marsala sauce lacking-no mushrooms. It came with a side of spaghetti which was served with tomato sauce on the same plate which combined with the Salimbocca. My dates choice was a chicken dinner with blackberry sauce which she enjoyed. Dessert and coffee were fine.

We were nearby for Solid Sound and looking for breakfast. We liked Moonlight enough that we went…read moretwice. Moonlight is a diner with some rock and roll decor to remind you of Elvis I guess. The food is what I expect from a diner, service was good and quick, and the meals were solid. I bet there is something regional here that I am not used to so I will explain when we get to it. The first day I asked about the hash, that appears to come from a can so not what I wanted. I instead had the cheese omelet, sausage, potatoes, and corn muffin. They say they bake the muffins in house and this was a good one. They split it and grilled it with some butter and I this was fantastic. The cheese omelet was well prepared and great. The sausage was weird to me for breakfast as it was not what I know to be breakfast sausage but it was good. The potatoes were ok, kind of plain. The catsup tasted like some weird local brand so that was a disappointment. The second time we went I wanted the same thing but they were out of corn muffins! That turned out ok because the pancakes were great. The omelet was well prepared but I did not like the sliced sausage in it, I was expecting sort of a fold over omelet with ground sausage. Oh well, it was good. We will be back ini two years for the next Solid Sound. Hope to see the Moonlight too!

We got a classic diner breakfast, prepared perfectly and amazing service within minutes of our arrival. The true test of a classic diner, refilling our coffee without having to ask for a 2nd. Delicious coffee, btw. The food & service was excellent. My pictures will attract your attention. Classic diner with hundreds of very cool signs and posters throughout. I felt like I'd stepped into a 1955 burger joint/diner. I will be returning in the future (I live 4 hours from here), eager to try the rest of the classic menu. If you find yourself in this part of The Berkshires you must come to the Moonlight Diner & Grill! You're gonna thank me.
