Four weeks after my dad's passing, I was beginning to open up again to the world, when I went to my in-laws' home. My MIL had a letter addressed to me; even she was perplexed. It was from Starr. In a gross violation of my privacy, Starr wrote me a handwritten letter using my in-laws' address from their order. In her letter Starr claimed that she did not have my information due to me declining to share it and so she used my in-laws' payment information to find her way to me. Her letter was one full page, front and back, of defending herself and telling me stories of how she is a truly exemplary employee, even staying behind at the store extra late for another order. This letter did two things: 1) it reopened my wounds from feeling like I was unseen and unheard in one of my truest moments of vulnerability and 2) showed me that she still had no awareness of the pain she had caused since she did not apologize and instead told me stories of how she treated other people better than me. I then reached back out to the manager via Yelp to ask for a phone number and good time to talk to discuss something. They told me to just call the store number and stopped responding when I asked for a good time to be sure to speak with the right person. I decided not to pursue the matter because, honestly, it hurt like hell having to deal with this on top of my grief. It has now been 3 months since my father passed, since this all started, and I tried to let it go, but I decided to write this update. Albeit delayed, I think people should know the way this matter was handled -- vindictively with self-interest and an outright disregard for the reason why people need their service in the first place. What an an absolute disgraceful display of professional conduct.

What actually arrived was an absolute joke. The arrangement was entirely lopsided. One entire side was completely bare of flowers, showing nothing but green filler. To make matters worse, it was missing some of the promised irises and arrived in a cheap clear vase with a blue ribbon instead of the actual blue vase I paid for. It didn't even meet the standards of their "Standard" tier, let alone the Premium. When I called to address this, the staff offered nothing but empty sympathy. They hid behind a strict "72-hour policy," completely dismissing the fact that I was traveling across time zones. Because I couldn't inspect the flowers the second they landed, they refused to offer a replacement, a partial refund, or any meaningful fix. They were perfectly happy to take my premium tier money, but completely uninterested in delivering a premium product or fixing their own blatant mistakes. If you want a florist that actually takes pride in their work and stands behind their service, especially for major holidays, look elsewhere. This place is a rip off.
