She went on to do another event for my family a couple weeks later, that's how amazing they were! The quality of the products and service were TOP NOTCH! I really enjoyed working with her. She delivered as stated on her contract. I didn't have any problem with her services whatsoever. I appreciate her being patient dealing with staff members at the hall we rented. They were not as flexible with timing, but at the end all worked out well. Many of my guests walked into the hall and complimented how beautiful the placed was decorated. One even stated, 'It's very well balance. The colors are just right, not over the top but very nicely done!" Many loved how well the hall was setup. Had lots of compliments day of party. IB Dream Events did a fantastic job decorating for my engagement party. They turned a relatively…read moredifficult to decorate venue into the party of my dreams. I honestly thought that what I envisioned would be unattainable but they went above and beyond to make it happen! They communicated clearly every step of the way and were open to my ideas. Their floral arrangements and backdrop were top notch. They even made custom signage and delicious desserts to match the pink and gold theme. Everyone was amazed at the decor at the party. Many people asked if the event had been decorated by a number of other well-known Bay Area decor vendors. But no, it was IB DREAM!! I would recommend IB Dream Events for your next event if you're looking for a team that's fresh-minded, open, interactive, passionate and professional! They can take your inspiration and make it a reality.

This is a reply to Ramadeep who commented on my review for dream events…read more I m glad you had such a good experience with dream events. Unfortunately my experience is the opposite. It was not just the matter of payment only. First of all I never said I was not going to pay her. She DID get paid when she messaged me for the payment. To your other point of ethics, I totally agree with you that there should be ethics in business which actually she lacks. Just for an example I will give couple of things of her poor business ethics 1. It was part of the contract to provide certain type of bulbs on stage (the picture was provided to her before signing the contract) She messaged my wedding planner that the bulbs got damaged two weeks before the event. She said she ordered them on amazon n it may not come on time. (which is understandable). But a good business ethics is that you keep spares in advance. So apparently she said she will use another product and instead of asking us if we like them, she just told us that this is what she will provide us on the wedding day. 2. She demanded my event planner to use her business name or tag her in stage pictures instead of requesting if she can tag her in the pictures. NOT that we had any issues doing that but its just the ethics of asking that. Btw it was not part of the contract. So my review is based on multiple events that fortunately you did not experienced in your events with her to make the taste of her service sour.

We then began to text after she called me to get my vision and ideas (I had none...!). She was able to focus me and help me make some decisions. Myri was planning on being out of town, but she said her assistant would support me. I ended up choosing a color scheme and a phrase for the backdrop/board and the left everything up to Myri and her team. On the day of the party, Myri's assistant showed up at 10 am and got to work. The results were fantastic! I loved it! I will be working with Myri in the future. Thank you for accommodating me and being communicative. I appreciate you and your team!

I hired Myri to help plan my son's first birthday after reaching out to several event planners. I…read moreliked her style and she was very open to incorporating things that I wanted. What Myri does well: 1. She has experience with kid's parties. There were definitely things that she thought of that I didn't. For example, there was a certain playdough favor set that I wanted to purchase for the kids, but she recommended against it due to the choking hazard for kids my son's age. That was very, very appreciated. 2. The event went smoothly. Myri left her assistant with us, and Kat made sure everything ran on schedule and that the food/drink station was constantly refilled. It was also great to be able to show up at our event and not have to worry about set-up or break-down. This peace-of-mind alone made hiring Myri worth it. Things that I expected more of given the price of her services: 1. I expected Myri to be more responsive to correspondence and to provide more updates on the status of the planning. I did appreciate that she was cognizant of this and apologized for her slower follow-up during her busy holiday months. Still, I would have appreciated this being communicated to me upfront or perhaps receiving even just an automated email response stating that things were busy and that she would get back to emails as soon as she could. 2. While I appreciated Myri doing walkthroughs of venues on my behalf when I was not available, something happened at the first walkthrough that resulted in the host canceling on us stating that his space was 'not appropriate' for the type of event we wanted to host, despite previously having been on board with a kids' birthday party. While I think there was some sort of misunderstanding, this put me back to square one in terms of finding a suitable venue and forced me to forgo an affordable venue that I had already spent a significant amount of time vetting. The venue I ended up booking was almost two times the cost of the first venue. In hindsight, I - as a client - may not have been suited to work with an event planner like Myri. I feel like the ideal client for Myri is someone who is very hands-off, has a large budget, wants only to make a few decisions here or there, and show up on the day of the event. I personally wanted to be more involved with the planning and know when things were getting done/next steps/to-dos, so for me it was stressful working with Myri and not knowing what to expect, particularly in the days leading up to the event.

During my initial conversations with Barbara, I wanted to get a sense of the decor options she could offer based on what I was envisioning (she could really make anything you want happen!), but I felt it was beyond what my budget would allow for so I was already accepting that maybe we won't get to have the decor I want after all. She truly understood the look and ambiance I wanted to create, though, so we talked again a few times via email, phone, text (there was a lot of sending pictures and examples back and forth) and we worked out some scaled back options that could fit within my budget. On the big day, Barbara came alone and set the decor up all by herself as her team was out because my wedding was on a major holiday weekend. She was fast! I also had some extra decor items that I didn't know what do with so she helped set those things up, too. I didn't see the room at all until the wedding party reception entrance, and when I walked in, the decor looked amazing! She delivered exactly what we discussed and more. I was so happy, and I am so thankful I booked her and that she was available for my wedding day. Thank you Barbara for working your magic!

This lady goes the extra mile for her clients. we were having a mad hatter tea party theme in my backyard, and this wasn't intended to be a lavish party, a quaint gathering of my closest friends, but she certainly made it above and beyond your typical teenage party. The decorations were gorgeous! She provided us with perfect pink fabric drapery (to hide the not-so-pretty part of our yard like the trash cans, and the lawn mower) which ended up being the perfect backdrop for my pictures, beautiful ribbon to line our fence with (instead of tacky crepe paper) and set the tables to perfection. She mapped out the whole yard, into the buffet area, the game area, the table where we would eat, when she was finished it looked like a scene from a Disney movie! She also worked with us and some of the decorations we had already bought to make sure the colors matched perfectly. In addition, she made sure everything was to our liking before she left my house. Along with going above and beyond she had a boot on her foot that day as if it had been injured, and brought at no cost extra decorations for the entrance. My guests were so impressed, as was I with the decorations! I'm definitely planning to calling on Barbara again, I know I won't be disappointed!
