From the beginning, my daughter and I didn't have a specific theme in mind. We simply wanted everything to look elegant, beautiful, and special. Inés understood exactly what we envisioned and turned it into something even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Every detail of the decoration was absolutely stunning. The tables, arrangements, and entire venue reflected such elegance and beauty that our guests were truly amazed. Seeing my daughter so happy and hearing so many wonderful compliments from our guests made the celebration even more special. We also have to mention the food--it was 100 out of 100! Our guests absolutely loved the menu, and so many of them told us how delicious everything was. The service was also exceptional. The servers were kind, attentive, and always making sure our guests were taken care of. I wholeheartedly recommend Decoraciones Alvizar for any special event. Thank you, Inés, for your dedication, talent, and for putting so much love and care into every detail. You helped turn such an important day for our daughter into a beautiful memory that our family will cherish forever. Thank you so much for helping make my daughter's dream come true!

We decided to use Direct My Day, and let me tell you all - I could not have imagined having my wedding without them! We only used them for the reception portion of our wedding since we had our ceremony offsite. Saneta was amazing as the point of contact leading up to a month prior to our wedding. After that, Courtney A. was our main contact. She handled all the vendors and made sure everything was being taken care of. She was even a great person to go to when I needed to vent about anything! She would tell me that everything would run smooth and not to worry about other things and to relax. She was like my wedding BFF! Anytime I needed anything she was so quick to respond. If she missed my call she returned it within minutes. Things got hectic leading up to our wedding day, and we couldn't get all the minor details to her. She reassured me she would make everything look great, and that's exactly what she did! There was also another Courtney helping her the day of, and she was amazing too! My son wanted to sit with his cousins, but of course that day he changed his mind and wanted to sit with us at our sweetheart table. Courtney took care of it within minutes, and brought his plate of food. Both Courtney's treated us like VIP's and we didn't have to do a thing! They had to switch an item in the timeline because the sun was setting and BAM it was all taken care of. I can't thank Saneta, Courtney A., and Courtney enough for their hardwork and attention to detail. Joseph and I are so grateful for you 3 and love you so much for making our day perftect. If you are indecisive about using them let me tell you, HIRE THEM! You won't regret it!

Really all we had to do was tell Jackie what we wanted, drop off all of our materials 2 days before, and leave it all up to her. She was professional, communicative, and caring. The one thing I REALLY appreciated out of Jackie, was that she was so lax on the day of our wedding. She ran things along so smoothly but also didn't keep us to a super tight schedule and let things run it's course naturally. Even though the reception seems long, it's a lot to fit in in a short amount of time but Jackie didn't rush us or make us feel like we needed to do things at the exact moment the timeline was laid out. I didn't once feel wound up and she made me feel super relaxed. She also decorated all of the tables beautifully and really put together what I had envisioned and planned for for months. It was executed perfectly and all of our guests kept complimenting the venue and decorations. She also packed up all of our stuff at the end of the night so we just had to hop into the limo. Jackie always checked in with me and made sure I was ok, hydrated and atleast ate something. She kept checking in on me like a big sister and it was so sincere. My husband and I are VERY grateful to Jackie, Saneta, and the direct my day team. Big thanks to a business that deserves all the stars they deserve.

Judy and Carol helped to plan my first daughter's wedding on 8/20/2011. I interviewed several…read morewedding planners and went with them because I liked that there were two of them. My daughter and now son-in-law also interviewed them and we all agreed that they were the best. I'll be honest, at first I was a little worried. Not because of anything they were or weren't doing, but because I'm a control freak Plus type A personality and wanted my daughter's wedding day to be perfect. So, I ended up stepping on toes and trying to do things on my own when I should have listened to the wedding planners and sat back and relaxed. Judy and Carol convinced me however that they had EVERYTHING under control and I did become convinced that they did. Nearing the last month and the two weeks before the wedding is when so many of the final details are wrapped up and they are on top of it. So, if you hire them, don't worry, they have it under control. The day of the wedding when we arrived, Carol and Judy were just finishing up the set-up and it was GORGEOUS!!! Also, we had a bit of a fiasco with a hotel that we had lined up and the shuttle service. Judy made many calls on our behalf and we ended up going to a different hotel and hiring a Royal Coach Bus for 57 passengers to take our guests from the Sheraton in Pleasanton to the Crooked Vine Winery in Livermore. This worked out perfectly and made the evening so enjoyable for everyone because they didn't have to worry about driving. I will say that when my next daughter gets married, I will definitely be hiring Carol and Judy again! Going into a wedding, you think you only have to hire people but there are so many details, many that you don't even think about. I loved all their vendors and will be writing separate reviews on that. Their floral person did an awesome job!!!! On the wedding day they stayed until the very end and had all the gifts and everything loaded into our vehicle already. This was so nice because my husband and I could spend time with our guests instead of running around making sure everything was going right. I highly recommend Carol and Judy for your wedding planners! Worth every penny!
