My husband and I thought she was very professional and experienced since she was considered one of the listed vendors at our venue. I never made such an impulsive purchase, but I immediately asked for the contract and sent her the deposit that afternoon. One thing I liked about Jackie was the fact that I was able to text her anytime and any day if I had a question or needed something. Not only was she responsive, she would ask around if she didn't have the answer. The month before our big day, we had our meeting to go over details and timeline. She made sure to reach out to every single one of our vendors so everyone was on the same page. The week of the wedding was hectic for us, but she was made sure her timeline matched our photographer and everything was in place. I also had chargers that I wanted for every guest, and she made that happen! On our big day, she arrived to the venue at 2:30pm, so she could make sure all the vendors were there. When we arrived around 4pm, she made sure the bridal party knew what to do for the ceremony since we didn't have rehearsal the day before. She checked in with us throughout the night and gave us a heads up before the next agenda. She orchestrated the entire night so effortlessly that I felt at ease. If I could give Jackie more than 5 stars, I would! She was the best impromptu decision I've made throughout our entire wedding process. I'm so glad she was part of our wedding and cannot thank her enough!!!

When our food came they hadn't clears the other plates on the table from the bread which we had to pick up and move. They also didn't set the plate with the chicken correctly on the table and had the chicken farthest from the seat. Little things that would be ignored at less expensive restaurants but if I'm paying ridiculous prices I expect ridiculously great service. I don't eat at fine dining restaurants often and if I'm spending a lot of money it better be a great experience that creates a lasting memory. The Grandview failed in that regard. I wouldn't recommend going here, in fact I told my colleagues not to go here either.

When I arrived and parked there were multiple signs saying that this is a high vehicle burglary area and that you should lock your car and remove all valuables. I completely understand that and it definitely makes the patio seem more private and lush. I went inside the cafe to ask about being seated on the patio and was told to to sit wherever I liked. There was only one customer inside the cafe when I arrived. The patio itself is lovely, with lots of seating and music playing. It gets a bit dirty out there though, so I had a few marks on my pants from the chair when I got up to leave. Service was "relaxed" . It took a bit to get the menus and then to get the order in. A couple who arrived after me was seated, ordered and got their food around the same time as I did, however, their waitress brought out their check and returned it to them, while mine never came back and ultimately, after that couple left, I decided to go inside to see and pay my bill. There were only two customers inside when I left so it definitely wasn't an oversight because they were too busy but I still gave a large tip. I didn't so much mind never being checked on, but being completely forgotten at the end did not feel great. I also appreciate when businesses don't rush you, but there is definitely a difference between the two. As for the food, I sampled several items. The lamb shoulder pappardelle had a very nice flavor on its own. Unfortunately, the huge chunks of lamb felt very out of place. I fed most of them to my pup, who quite enjoyed the lamb. The poached apricot toast was probably my favorite dish. Apricot slices over truffled goat cheese with a red wine reduction and a pistachio and basil relish. It was sharp and flavorful and I enjoyed every bite. I also sampled the Araceli sliders and truffled garlic fries. The sliders were just okay for me. They were a little dry and I think some sort of condiment or sauce would have made a big difference. I also removed the pepperoncini because they were rubbery and the wrong texture for sliders. The fries were fine, but be prepared to have serious garlic broth for a while. I liked the cafe and will probably come back again. The outdoor space here definitely has a lot of potential, but I would most likely bring something to wipe down my seat first with me. The smooth buttercream frosting had just the right amount of sweetness, perfectly balancing the rich chocolate swirls and fresh, fruity strawberry layers. So many of our guests raved about it, and our bridesmaid (the true dessert connoisseur of the group) polished off all the leftover slices by the next day!
