I'm not one to write reviews, but I would like to give props to Jackie, the recommended wedding…read morecoordinator of Canyon View. My wedding would not be possible w/out her! She is the main person to set up ALL items for tables, reach out to your vendors & provide you a specific timeline during the day. If you know exactly what to do w/ your event, she will accommodate your details & she will advise you if you need help. Thank you so much Jackie, couldn't have done it w/out you! :]

I found Jackie on Instagram because we were looking for a day of coordinator for our wedding. I…read moremessaged her the night before, and we had our phone conversation the next morning. My husband and I thought she was very professional and experienced since she was considered one of the listed vendors at our venue. I never made such an impulsive purchase, but I immediately asked for the contract and sent her the deposit that afternoon. One thing I liked about Jackie was the fact that I was able to text her anytime and any day if I had a question or needed something. Not only was she responsive, she would ask around if she didn't have the answer. The month before our big day, we had our meeting to go over details and timeline. She made sure to reach out to every single one of our vendors so everyone was on the same page. The week of the wedding was hectic for us, but she was made sure her timeline matched our photographer and everything was in place. I also had chargers that I wanted for every guest, and she made that happen! On our big day, she arrived to the venue at 2:30pm, so she could make sure all the vendors were there. When we arrived around 4pm, she made sure the bridal party knew what to do for the ceremony since we didn't have rehearsal the day before. She checked in with us throughout the night and gave us a heads up before the next agenda. She orchestrated the entire night so effortlessly that I felt at ease. If I could give Jackie more than 5 stars, I would! She was the best impromptu decision I've made throughout our entire wedding process. I'm so glad she was part of our wedding and cannot thank her enough!!!

So definitely no complaints. The venue itself is great, surprisingly kids friendly (lots of games and things to do), food (primarily Mexican) is excellent, beer and alcohol selection superb, probably a really good place to watch San Jose Sharks games and the Caddy Shack photos in the bathroom was a nice touch. Also, I have to add that ahead of the Super Bowl I called and visited a couple of times, and the staff was very helpful. So overall, very happy with the experience and would highly recommend. Hope to be back again sometime in the future.

I came to Tipsy Putt for a work event. This is located in downtown Sunnyvale, and I found a nearby…read moreparking lot with free four-hour parking. They have a really large drinks menu, including about 8-10 different cocktails, beers on tap, and even a couple of shots. I ordered the guava-rita, which was very good (and very strong)! They also had a variety of non-alcoholic drinks! My work group reserved one of the rooms, which is kind of off to the side, though not totally private or anything. We got a couple of plates of nachos that were fine, and some veggies with hummus. I don't really know what the rest of the menu was like. This seems like a fun place where they have a lot of games and activities. There were signs on the walls about trivia nights and other things. I would definitely come back. It was funny that they seemed very busy for a work afternoon, not sure what they are like on the weekends!

We've been coming here for years to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays, and this time we…read morecelebrated our daughter's birthday. She had a wonderful time, and our server was very friendly. The lobster carbonara was expensive but flavorful, while the filet mignon special with dumplings felt overpriced and the dumplings weren't very good. The calamari and ceviche were excellent. We also enjoyed a bottle of wine, salads, and tiramisu for dessert. You're definitely paying for the beautiful view and attentive service, but our overall experience has always been great.

My family and I have been visiting The GrandView for over 20 years. Unfortunately, our experience…read moreon October 20th was so disappointing that we left without dining. My husband and I made a reservation for outdoor seating at 6:45 p.m. on 10/20/26, several days in advance for our third anniversary. We were seated at the very end of the outdoor seating area, near a doorway with considerable staff foot traffic, with a bush obstructing my husband's view. Several tables farther toward the middle with a better view appeared open, but we were told they were reserved. The only alternative offered was seating in the back. I found this unfair as we also had a reservation, so I raised my concerns with the front host Ignacio, who identified himself as the general manager. Unfortunately, his dismissive responses made it clear that he was unwilling to hear me out or make any effort to address my concerns. The issue was not simply the seating arrangement, but the lack of professionalism and courtesy shown when I attempted to communicate my concerns. After more than 20 years of dining with GrandView for special times, I'm very disappointed to say that the level of class and professionalism I once associated with The GrandView was not reflected in this experience. If you're planning a special evening and making the drive up the mountain specifically for the view and an upscale dining experience, I would seriously consider other options. A beautiful view should be accompanied by service that reflects the caliber of the establishment. What i took from that experience is this place is no longer what it used to be.

I think my experience here was closer to 3 and 1/2 stars, but I always like to round up out of…read moregoodwill. When I arrived and parked there were multiple signs saying that this is a high vehicle burglary area and that you should lock your car and remove all valuables. Then as I approached the cafe (where I wanted to dine on the patio because I had my small dog with me) I realized that they have a wall of shrubs which blocks the view from the patio to where your vehicle is parked. I completely understand that and it definitely makes the patio seem more private and lush. It also helps with the noise factor, but I would be fibbing if I didn't admit it made me a bit nervous not being able to see my vehicle. I went inside the cafe to ask about being seated on the patio and was told to to sit wherever I liked. There was only one customer inside the cafe when I arrived. The patio itself is lovely, with lots of seating and music playing. It gets a bit dirty out there though, so I had a few marks on my pants from the chair when I got up to leave. Service was "relaxed" . It took a bit to get the menus and then to get the order in. A couple who arrived after me was seated, ordered and got their food around the same time as I did, however, their waitress brought out their check and returned it to them, while mine never came back and ultimately, after that couple left, I decided to go inside to see and pay my bill. There were only two customers inside when I left so it definitely wasn't an oversight because they were too busy but I still gave a large tip. I didn't so much mind never being checked on, but being completely forgotten at the end did not feel great. I also appreciate when businesses don't rush you, but there is definitely a difference between the two. As for the food, I sampled several items. The lamb shoulder pappardelle had a very nice flavor on its own. Unfortunately, the huge chunks of lamb felt very out of place. I fed most of them to my pup, who quite enjoyed the lamb. The poached apricot toast was probably my favorite dish. Apricot slices over truffled goat cheese with a red wine reduction and a pistachio and basil relish. It was sharp and flavorful and I enjoyed every bite. I also sampled the Araceli sliders and truffled garlic fries. The sliders were just okay for me. They were a little dry and I think some sort of condiment or sauce would have made a big difference. I also removed the pepperoncini because they were rubbery and the wrong texture for sliders. The fries were fine, but be prepared to have serious garlic broth for a while. I liked the cafe and will probably come back again. The outdoor space here definitely has a lot of potential, but I would most likely bring something to wipe down my seat first with me. I would also hope for some more attentive service, but in general the servers I interacted with were both very nice. Hopefully my next experience here will be even better and I can update my review.

Even the side of bacon was overdone to the point of being crumbly and powdery/chalky. Two stars because the patio is still quite nice -- but the patio is kind of the reason for coming, and today it was taken over for an influencer-style baby shower and our reservation moved indoors without notice.
