Beautiful setting for a bridal shower tea party! The woodland room was so cute, whimsical, and fun! The room was so earthy and pretty. When my friends and I were deep in conversations, I forgot we were in a closed room and it felt like we were sitting at a table in a forest instead! We loved all the fun and pretty details in the woodland room. We loved the other rooms too and appreciate how we were able to walk through all of them, take pics, and play around! We loved all of the food and drinks that were served. We had blueberry scones, tea, lemonade, various finger sandwiches, salad, cheesecake, and sparkling cider. We were able to take home the leftover food and we had plenty to eat between the 6 of us. Denise is friendly and easy to communicate with both via email and in person. I'm so glad I reserved her woodland room for my bridal shower. She made the day feel so special and fun! Pretty Tea Party is such a beautiful space! There are two rooms one garden-themed and the other royal with total Bridgerton vibes. The attention to detail is impeccable, and there's plenty of parking out front. The food is high quality, from the salads and sandwiches to the desserts. The teas themselves are fairly basic, and I recommend letting them know about any allergies ahead of time otherwise they can get a bit ruffled. Went to an organized tea event. Was surprised to find an afternoon tea that served tea bags instead of loose leaf tea, served packets of half and half instead of milk, and no water at the table. The tea sandwiches that were delicious were the egg salad, the croissant sandwich, the mortadella. The cucumber salmon sandwich tasted over seasoned. And the chocolate pudding was just ok. The cake served afterwards was light and delicious as were the scones served at the beginning. The service was very welcoming. I would come again but would be prepared for the different way of serving afternoon tea. read more

I surprised my best friend here for her 30th birthday and I kid you not... she was screaming and crying when we opened the door. It was that magical. The decor is absolutely stunning, every little detail was thought out. You can tell Denise puts her heart into every inch of the space. She helped us plan out the surprise, made sure everything ran smoothly, and truly went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. My friends were blown away. The entire vibe of the place is just so special. Denise even let us peek into the other rooms and turned on party lights so we could sing and vibe out, she really set the mood and made it feel like our space for the day. If I could rate this place lower, I would. Sadly for this beautifully decorated tea room, the owner is absolutely awful. From forcing me to order what she wanted me to have from the menu, to lying about champagne service, to even yelling at a group of older women because she wasn't ready to open the doors yet despite it being past the start time of the room reservation. Denise did not provide the services which were totally overpriced and had zero respect for the people paying her for the use of the venue. There's a sign out front saying "now hiring!" And I can only assume it's because no one in their right mind would want to work for someone so rude. Take your business anywhere else! read more

My daughters and I celebrated my birthday with a last minute tea party when they came into town. It was so much fun and so fabulous. The owner got us in last minute and took such great care of us. My friend had her bridal shower here and we had the best time ever. It felt so magical and like a tea party that I've always wanted to go to! We started out with salad, then we had tea with blueberry scones, then they brought out the tiered trays with finger sandwiches, muffins, parfaits and fruit. Then the bride opened gifts, we had delicious cake and a toast with champagne (or apple cider). It was so much fun, so much good food and just absolutely beautiful. I came for a tea party hosted by my financial advisor. It's the perfect place to dress up to and enjoy the pretty fantasy. (Just a note. I've been to several tea houses in the past so there is a little comparison of what I'm used to in my experiences) They are located in an office park. Tucked away between businesses. My dentist has an office down the street. The front of the building is unimpressive. It looks like you're walking into an office. They have a big banner outside with the name of the business- Pretty Tea Parties. They have lots of free parking out front. When we walked in we were happily greeted by one of the advisors who was giving out name tags and checking us off the list. In the tiny lobby we were offered champagne or cider with a raspberry on the bottom. When it was time to go in we walked down a stark white hallway into one of two rooms. If you get to choose pick the small room. It's all decorated to the 9's. I was assigned the big room. I didn't notice any decorations but the table was set. Salads were placed out on pretty China. The salad dressing was in gravy dishes that matched. There were gold chargers. The table was bursting with China and tableware. I'd say on the cramped side. After we'd eaten the salad- leafy greens and raspberries with a raspberry vinaigrette. We were offered tea. They walked around with a box of sealed tea bags in many varieties. The same type of tea you'd get in a restaurant. I was disappointed. I'd hoped they'd have fancy loose leaf teas where you get your own tea pot. They had packets of sugar in a silver sugar bowl and little tubs of cream in the cream pot. I was hoping for real cream. Next they brought out 3 tiered platters of tea sandwiched and scones. They had moist blueberry scones with Zhuhai. Rusting. They were delicious. The platters were decorated with grapes, raspberries and flowers. Sandwiches with a little kick were cucumber and egg salad. And lastly was the salmon and dill and caprice. My favorite sandwich was the cucumber on white bread with no crusts in little rectangles, I would recommend the small room as a place for a tea party. The overflow room needed more decorations. If invited again I'd go back. It was different than what I'm used to, a little disappointed but it was still nice and a privilege and honor to be invited. Pretty Tea Parties is a hidden Bay Area gem. I knew I would host my daughter's bridal shower here from the moment I walked into the room. It transports you to a place of royalty, beauty, & splendor. The owner Denise is very nice and easy to work with. She's full of great ideas. The food was excellent! Service superb! Décor fabulous! Need I say more? You really will feel like you are having high tea in the Queen of England's tearoom. Denise takes the hassle out of planning and hosting an event so you're free to enjoy your guests. Don't be fooled by the outside of the building, it looks like a regular business park establishment. The guests were greeted in the lobby with a display of fascinator hats & gloves that they were able to choose from. There was a gorgeous floral backdrop & bench for photo ops. All guests were held in the lobby so we could enter the tearoom & experience the room reveal together as a group. The theme for the shower was Bridgerton, so the soundtrack played softly in the background as the doors to the tearoom slowly opened to reveal the splendor of the room & the soundtrack was piped in throughout the afternoon. The guests were astonished, and you could hear all of the reactions to what they were taking in as they walked into the tearoom. "Beautiful", "oh my goodness", "wow", "this is breathtaking"," I could come here every day", etc. The Bride To Be was also seeing the room for the first time and she was smiling from ear to ear. Mission Accomplished! You have the entire venue to yourself and there's plenty of free parking. You don't need to bring any decorations. Just show up with your guests, a few games, party favors and you're set. Pretty Tea Parties takes care of all of the rest. The food was fresh & delicious. We started with a mixed green salad topped with fresh fruit, followed by a warm homemade blueberry scone and assorted teas, and ended with a beautifully plated 3-tiered tray. Two of the tiers held the tea sandwiches that I pre-selected. The top tier was filled with sweet treats. You really don't need to bring in desserts or a cake unless you just want a small one for a photo op. There's so much food, your guests won't be able to eat or enjoy a cake at the end. Even though we were at a tearoom there was still space for a few fun games. We played the high energy "Jeopardy" where the categories were all about the bride & groom. "Bridal Bingo" which required the guests to mingle and find other guests that fit squares to fill their bingo card. We ended with "Pass The Bouquet" which is a mix of the hot potato game we played as kids & musical chairs. Only it's with an artificial flower bouquet. Put on Beyonce's "Crazy In Love" & they soon forget they're trying to win a game because they're too busy dancing. So much fun, laughter & love. Pretty Tea Parties really is a wonderful venue to host an intimate celebration or event They even have a room which I call the "Enchanted Forest" that is suitable for smaller groups. It's filled with greenery all around & a few faux animals. Five Stars, I would give 10 stars if it were available. read more

As I was looking for places to host my Baby Shower I stumbled upon Pretty Tea Parties on yelp, the photos were almost too good to be true I had to reach out. The owner Denise responded to my inquiry instantly, with a breakdown of various services we can choose from as well as pricing. We had a Little Golden Book themed Baby Shower for up to 40 women, everyone was AMAZED from beginning to end. The location was easy to navigate, with tons of parking, wheelchair accessible (great for seniors to walk into). As my guests walked into the lobby they were greeted by the most beautiful backdrop for a photo op to get the event going, they each had the option of borrowing a fastener hat to wear during the baby shower. We entered the main room all together for a grand opening, and the oohs and ahhhhs started to roll through. It was breathtaking and such an enjoyable experience. THE FOOD! The spring salad was fresh, topped with almonds, fruit and the raspberry dressing was delicious. The shrimp cocktail was served with just enough cocktail sauce to dip but not make the space messy, it was display on the cutest glass. The scones came out after and they WERE THE BEST SCONES I've ever had, warm, moist and slightly crunchy on the outside, served with jam, butter and your choice of tea. The sandwiches were all very delicious, my guests got full very fast. In between meals (starter salad/shrimp, scones/teas, finger sandwiches, cake) my sister hosted baby shower games, we switched the music from classical to modern day. While cake was being passed out, my guests were able to see me open gifts on the beautiful stage. Denise and her staff were on point! They were all so polite, helpful, poised and punctual at replacing table settings and delivering the next meal on time. We most definitely will be coming back soon for future gatherings. 10/10 read more

Absolutely amazing! I randomly found Pretty Tea Parties on Facebook and immediately made an appointment to tour the venue. It's located in a business park, but don't let the exterior fool you - it's super fancy inside! Denise is very personable and gave us a detailed walkthrough of all the different types of events that she's hosted at this location. We found the rates surprisingly reasonable for everything that you get (especially the private venue) and chose to host my birthday tea there. Denise continued to be super responsive during the planning process. On the day of, everything was setup so beautifully. Some guests, lulled into the same low expectations of a business park office, ended up feeling under-dressed once they stepped foot into the venue. There were fun hats available for us to wear and we were encouraged to spend as much time as we'd like taking photos together. Denise let us set the pace and we never felt rushed during the entire party. Once we were ready to eat, the food looked and tasted great and the portions were plentiful. Since she lives out of town, and I am local, I went to see the location first. I was in absolute awe when visiting the venue. So much detail in every single room. Upon arriving and meeting the owner Denise, she showed me around and gave me information on the many different parties and events that she plans. When going into the grand room, where the event would take place, I was overwhelmed with how beautiful and elegant the room looked. Denise does not hold back when it comes to detail. And a special area for my sister to sit and open gifts, decorated with a beautiful big chair, bassinet, and other items to celebrate. Our event was extraordinary! My sister and our guests were taken back when coming into the room. It was as if we were transported into a high tea designed just for us. We started our tea and began with our lunch. The presentation of our tea sandwiches and sweets was amazing. It was a work of art. I can not recommend this venue enough! I hope to be able told more events with Pretty Tea Parties in the future. A fairy tale come true. We had a tea for my daughter's wedding shower. I was so impressed by Pretty Tea Parties and Denise the owner, I booked the shower before my daughter was engaged. I knew this was going to be a fantastic event, but my expectations were exceeded in every way. The location in Walnut Creek is easy to find with lots of close parking. The food was outstanding. The welcoming charcuterie was phenomenal. The salad and shrimp cocktail were excellent. The scones came fresh from the oven and delicious. The finger sandwiches were better than I have ever had. This business has so much to offer: glam station for parties, a room full of gowns for the children and adults, the dance floor room with disco lights and finally the beautiful tea room. A few problems with this place, one and the biggest problem is Denise the owner. She seen to forget that she has the VENUE that she is renting out, but she is not the EVENT that is taking place. Denise continually tells you what you should do and how you should do it. She even went as far to tell me that the food that choices and selected for MY GUESS would be boring. Denise and I emailed a few times about the menu which I requested no fruit in the salad but I wanted croutons. When I arrived what did I see fruit in the salad and no croutons once again she did what she wanted to do, the majority of my guest did not eat the salad due to allergies to some fruit. Denise repeatedly try to tell me I should turn up the music up loud and dance. My client at this event was professional woman that was not apart of dance group. Denise also continuously wanted to play her own music which I multiple and triple times told her NO. more than once I had to turn the music down even to turn the music off. I would never come back to this place again or referral any of my clients are friends to come to this Tea house. Hopefully she can learn to listen to people who's renting out her venue read more

For my birthday and to celebrate working ourselves to the bone, I threw a tea party for at least a dozen people. Only about half was able to attend due to life changes but even for just a few of us it was so refreshing to sit and talk about anything but work, fool around, talk dirty, laugh with wild abandon, and not worry about anything but the food and the company. At first contact, Denise was wonderful. She told me all my options right off the bat, including food, decor, music, theme, etc. I was given the chance to see the place when no parties were going on just to get a feel for the ambience, then she had me try some tea and some sandwiches which basically solidied the entire deal. I also want to point out that we had a few gals with food considerations -- two vegetarians and one who is gluten-free. Denise didn't back down at all! She gave me the entire menu to look over and pick from, and not only did she make adjustments to allow for veggie-friendly palates, but was even willing to purchase gluten-free products (she even offered to have my friend provide the name of safe brands, but because my friend got sick before the party, we ended up not needing the alterations anyway). The decor was spot on! Classy but not too fancy; lots of fun photos with a touch of mischief! Denise is ridiculously sweet, and gave us lots of props, ideas, and suggestions to have some extra fun. The food was to die for!! We absolutely loved all of it. There was so much of it that all the leftovers were splint between us, and we had plenty to enjoy at home for a few days after. Another kind touch was when one of the gals asked to set aside the flowers which were out as display on the food plates and table to feed to her pet tortoises at home, Denise not only provided a bag for her but also gave her the remaining flowers so none of it went to waste in a trash can. The party started around 1pm and did not end til nearly 8pm. Denise was SO kind throughout the entire process, and even more kindly allowed us to stay late so we could have our time to play without spouses, kids, or work to distract us. If you're looking for literally any excuse to spoil yourself and your friends or family, I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to go back! p.s. This place is amazing. The location is amongst office buildings but once you walk in Denise greets you in a nice lobby area where you can take pictures, then tour the dress room and hair studio. Those are geared towards younger girls 5-12. A group of us went for an early Mother's Day high tea and we were blown away. We got to try on different hats and take pictures on the queens chair. We sat at long table decorated with beautiful China and fresh flowers. Started with bagels, coffee cake, juice, tea, and then shrimp cocktail, salad, a delicious sandwich and sweets tray and finally a slice of cheesecake. We were stuffed but since there was still food left Denise gave us boxes to take home. It was a fun experience and so nice to have our own private space. The price was very reasonable at $55/pn plus tip. Highly recommend for parties and events. read more
