Jessica: Jessica was our main point of contact throughout the planning process, and she was truly amazing. Whether we had questions or requests for the decorators, MC, DJ, day-of coordinator, photographers, videographers, or HMUA, she was always there to help. She was patient, kind, incredibly organized, and never made me feel like my questions were too much. Our Service Instruction worksheet was so detailed that every vendor knew exactly what to expect, which made the entire day run seamlessly. Decoration Team: The décor for both our ceremony and reception was absolutely stunning. Just two weeks before the wedding, I made a major change to our reception backdrop, and the team worked hard to bring my new vision to life. Jessica even arranged for me to see digital mockups after we discussed how important they were to me. Because of that, I was able to completely refresh the design from the inspiration I had shared over a year earlier. My advice: be as specific as possible about what you like and don't like--it really helps the decorators create your vision. Everything was executed beautifully. MC Eric: Eric was phenomenal! We specifically wanted a bilingual English/Vietnamese MC, and he exceeded every expectation. Even our hard-to-impress Vietnamese aunties and uncles couldn't stop complimenting him. He was charismatic, organized, and handled last-minute changes effortlessly. We had to adjust our timeline during the reception, including pausing photos and adding speeches, and he kept everything flowing naturally without awkward downtime. He also perfectly coordinated our unique sequence of dances with the DJ, making every transition feel seamless. DJ Otis: We didn't know who our DJ would be until the wedding day, and we were thrilled it was Otis! He absolutely nailed the music all night. The dance floor stayed packed until 11 PM because he knew exactly how to read the crowd. He mixed current hits with 70s-90s favorites that kept both younger guests and the older Vietnamese crowd dancing. The glow sticks and light-up glasses were a huge hit, and the energy never dropped. Day-of Coordinator Carina: Carina was incredible. She was warm, personable, and unbelievably organized. I thought my planning documents were detailed, but hers were even more thorough! She made me feel completely at ease leading up to the wedding and even drove to Pleasanton to run our rehearsal (an add-on that was absolutely worth it). Multiple vendors and family members commented on how efficient and organized she was. Photography & Videography: Our package included an engagement shoot plus two photographers and two videographers. Sam photographed both our engagement session and wedding, and his work was beautiful. We chose his light and airy editing style, and our engagement photos turned out amazing. On the wedding day, Sam and Christine were fantastic. They captured every moment while making us feel comfortable. One thing I'll never forget was how Sam noticed we hadn't had a moment to ourselves because of nonstop photos. It was easy to schedule a free consultation,…read morewhere we first spoke with Otis, and could ask many questions up front before deciding to move forward. Otis was kind with great attention to detail from the start. Ultimately, we decided with the glam package and our contract was very clear to understand with cost breakdown for removal of specific services / add-ons. I updated it many times with Jessica, our planner, as we made changes throughout the months, and she was always so patient and clear. Our MC Otis did a wonderful job with maintaining flow of the program. Otis was also working as DJ for a good portion of the evening, so props to him! We had closer to an hour compared to 1.5 hours of open dancing because we were behind schedule, but everybody was on the dance floor and he kept the party going seamlessly. Weddings are hectic and there are so many moving parts; we did get behind schedule but we were still able to do everything we wanted to do. Our photo & video services were set to end, but Otis was very professional in discussing with us if we wanted to extend our video services, communicative on additional cost, at the moment. Our photographer, Ben, along with the team Stanford and videographer, Christina, were so fun to work with. Ben was great at providing direction, which is especially helpful since we were not used to posing. I have not received photo & video yet as it has only been a week, but from an experience standpoint, they were attentive to detail, communicative, and glided effortlessly through the event. My makeup artist, Vivi, is the sweetest person. She was super attentive to detail and my particular skin type. I was worried about makeup because I don't wear heavy makeup often. I ended up paying for a make-up trial, and I was so happy working with Vivi that I had no worries for the wedding day. We also added-on make up for our mothers, which Vivi did the morning of. The reception decor turned out so pretty! Everything was set-up as scheduled. I was really happy with the welcome backdrop and name sign. It was also great to take pictures with guests with the backdrop since we had time during cocktail hour. We asked TDE to incorporate a large screen as the backdrop of our sweetheart table, so we found an example from a previous wedding they did, and it turned out exactly as expected. We added the photo-booth, which was so popular with the guests! There were so many cool props and our guests were having tons of fun with it. I also sent TDE a custom drawing that I wanted for the photo strips- and it turned out just like I imagined. We chose Grand Dynasty as our reception venue, and TDE communicated set-up details with our restaurant event manager, Esmond, in the days leading up to the event. We opted for their highest/most expensive package since it seemed worth it - and we were right! The whole team, Sway, Sean (lead videographer) and Camille (lead photographer) are very responsive from the start all the way to the end. Sean, Camille and their associates arrived on time, they were professional and worked seamlessly with all our other vendors. The crazy part is, I didn't notice where they were at all during the ceremony and reception, but they were able to capture all the special parts, big or small, in a candid way that really captured how we felt during those moments! We also highlighted early on that our parents and our dog are very important to us, and it showed on our final photos and videos! They delivered the photos and videos earlier than promised and are very accommodating with all the edit requests we had! For the photos, they already edited almost everything we would've chosen ourselves, we only had to ask for around 15 more edits just to capture a bit more and we are very happy with the results! Camille nailed our portraits shots too! And the team handled the colors and edits of those shots so perfectly, there's really nothing much to ask for. Their video portfolio is the main reason we chose them; their style is exactly what we wanted and they didn't disappoint! Our final highlight video is so beautiful, so well thought out, and it showcased our wedding in a way that we will truly cherish forever!
