    Trusting Shaan Decor with the design and decor for our special day was easily one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. Khyati was consistently organized, timely, patient, and helpful as we put together a vision for our perfect aesthetic. As we iterated on our chosen decor through a few virtual meetings, she offered many helpful suggestions to steer us in the right direction. Because of her expertise, we were able properly allocate our design budget into the areas we felt were most impactful, saving on other areas that we felt were less important. Throughout the process, my wife and I felt that Shaan Decor went above and beyond to deliver the best decor possible and stay within our budget. Khyati took strong ownership of the wedding decor, visiting our venue and coordinating with rental companies and florists to ensure success. She was very responsive throughout the whole process and stayed on top of any changes that needed to be made. This gave us a lot of trust in Shaan Decor as the wedding date approached, and we felt confident that Khyati would deliver on everything she promised. And deliver she did! During the day of the wedding, Khyati and her team arrived promptly and worked within their schedule to set up and tear down the decor. There were challenges with the very windy Sonoma area, but Shaan decor came prepared and had planned ahead with some small changes to the decor to make things more sturdy. Again, these were all changes that Khyati had mentioned and prepared us for in previous meetings. On our big day, the only surprise was how beautiful everything looked in person.

    Shaan and decor did an absolutely amazing gorgeous mandap for our wedding. They worked with our design inspiration and colors and made something unique and fabulous.     Working with Shaan Decor was an incredibly smooth, professional, and enjoyable experience! Without Khyati and her team, my wedding quite literally would not have been possible. We hired Shaan Decor for our church wedding, lunch time event, Hindu ceremony, and Indian reception, and each of these events was flawlessly executed. From coming up with creative designs for our decor, to making changes literally 12 hours before our wedding, Shaan Decor made sure everything was taken care of and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Every part of of the decoration was done with such a detail-oriented eye! I wanted to keep the church decor simple, and the Indian decor more ornate, and Khyati came up with the most gorgeous designs, and creative solutions despite our tight space. Additionally, I gave her a budget that I said I wanted to stick to, and everything was done within the cost I had originally stated, which was one of the most respectful experiences I have had with a vendor. The biggest highlight of my wedding was guests coming up to my husband and I and complimenting the decor instead of congratulating us I would highly recommend Shaan Decor to anyone for any event, big or small. She was extremely patient in hearing out the vision we had for the wedding and worked with us to bring it to life. They are extremely professional, helpful and considerate individuals and took a load off our shoulders. All the guests at the wedding loved the decor too! But ARIANA was my event coordinator and she made me feel so reassured it would be beautiful and she was right. Our planning had gone well the whole year leading up to our wedding week and then I thought it was all falling apart. But she was amazing. She pulled it together and it was stunning!! The Monday before the wedding, she calmed me down and walked me through how it would all be setup inside the cocktail reception area. Our guests said it was better than if it had been outside!! It was cozy, by the fireplace while it was raining outside. Had so many compliments on the ceremony. We attended one of the bridal events to try some food and nothing blew us away then but the food on the wedding day was amazing. Again, so so many compliments from our guests on how good the food stations were. It was seriously really good! My family friends and I joked that all the craziness was the "storm before the calm". Once I had to be in place, ceremony was starting etc..it was the calm. Everything was perfection. Dj Chris was amazing too. I felt so special and everyone there really makes you feel like you are all VIP. Ariana was amazing at the rehearsal too! It's like corralling cats! Everyone is everywhere and talking and walking off. She got to the important stuff and was so patient. And kind. She was also so good and keeping track of all the details (I had a LOT OF DETAILS). Many vendors I hired, timelines, decor and she had it all down. Very capable. And also, what's really nice is although she was my main coordinator she's not there every day (obviously!) but anytime I called whoever answered the phone was able to make notes and she would always follow up too. Can't say enough about the experience!! Only that I want to do it again!!!! lol

Lots of varieties of salads, good choice and well cooked protein and always running on time and filled properly, never waiting for food or for service or clean up. This particular location isn't too far off the freeway, plenty of parking and friendly staff. The ceremony area is really close to the venue so if it's too cold or hot outside it's easy to go in and take pics. I liked how the sound with the venue DJ can be used and heard outside without being seen during the ceremony.

They have a preferred vendor list that was super helpful in guiding us with vendor selection, and the ones we selected from their list ended up being solid fits for us.

We decided to use Direct My Day, and let me tell you all - I could not have imagined having my wedding without them! We only used them for the reception portion of our wedding since we had our ceremony offsite. Saneta was amazing as the point of contact leading up to a month prior to our wedding. After that, Courtney A. was our main contact. She handled all the vendors and made sure everything was being taken care of. She was even a great person to go to when I needed to vent about anything! She would tell me that everything would run smooth and not to worry about other things and to relax. She was like my wedding BFF! Anytime I needed anything she was so quick to respond. If she missed my call she returned it within minutes. Things got hectic leading up to our wedding day, and we couldn't get all the minor details to her. She reassured me she would make everything look great, and that's exactly what she did! There was also another Courtney helping her the day of, and she was amazing too! My son wanted to sit with his cousins, but of course that day he changed his mind and wanted to sit with us at our sweetheart table. Courtney took care of it within minutes, and brought his plate of food. Both Courtney's treated us like VIP's and we didn't have to do a thing! They had to switch an item in the timeline because the sun was setting and BAM it was all taken care of. I can't thank Saneta, Courtney A., and Courtney enough for their hardwork and attention to detail. Joseph and I are so grateful for you 3 and love you so much for making our day perftect. Really all we had to do was tell Jackie what we wanted, drop off all of our materials 2 days before, and leave it all up to her. She was professional, communicative, and caring. The one thing I REALLY appreciated out of Jackie, was that she was so lax on the day of our wedding. She ran things along so smoothly but also didn't keep us to a super tight schedule and let things run it's course naturally. Even though the reception seems long, it's a lot to fit in in a short amount of time but Jackie didn't rush us or make us feel like we needed to do things at the exact moment the timeline was laid out. I didn't once feel wound up and she made me feel super relaxed. She also decorated all of the tables beautifully and really put together what I had envisioned and planned for for months. It was executed perfectly and all of our guests kept complimenting the venue and decorations. She also packed up all of our stuff at the end of the night so we just had to hop into the limo. Jackie always checked in with me and made sure I was ok, hydrated and atleast ate something. She kept checking in on me like a big sister and it was so sincere. My husband and I are VERY grateful to Jackie, Saneta, and the direct my day team. Big thanks to a business that deserves all the stars they deserve.

My husband and I had already found a venue prior to hiring Justina. After we found the venue, we were completely at a loss with where to start with the planning as it was overwhelming. But Justina removed this burden completely and she was so patient with us. One trait of Justina that we greatly appreciate is her transparency. Before we signed a contract with her, she was straightforward with us about her giving birth in the middle of the wedding planning process. Despite having to give labor in the middle of planning, Justina's continued to impress us with her clear communication on timelines and expectations. She only stepped away from about 2 weeks after labor and resumed with us; just WOW, we wanted to tell her that she should rest more. During the planing process, Justina handles all of the timelines, organization, and paperwork; which saved my husband and I so much time! Justina was especially a godsend for me, as I was working full-time and wrapping up my master's degree in the same year. We loved how she is prepared with templates for us to follow and takes notes of our every meeting. She is also extremely efficient and was conscious of our budget, and tries her best to help us stay within the budget range we specified. Justina has a lot of connections, so her recommendations were helpful and often helped us save time on researching more vendors. Furthermore, Justina is always willing to come out to meet in person when necessary, and she enjoys choosing fabrics and equipment for the wedding with you -- which we thought was so nice. One thing we also noticed is that all the vendors we worked with also had endless praises for Justina. When it came to actual wedding day, we were surprised by how smooth our wedding event ran. We were prepared to yolo things if things got out of handle, since we have heard a lot of stories from friends about how some of their weddings did not go as planned. Our wedding was a more complicated one as we crammed a lot of events during reception. As the bride, I had one outfit change, we had 7 toast speeches from family/friends, we played the shoe game, and had 3 musical performances prior to opening up the dance floor. Honestly, we did not expect to be able to go through with everything, but Justina made sure we were good on time and we were able to do everything we planned! We were so happy with our wedding and it was everything we expected. Thanks to Justina, we did not feel nearly as stressed out as we initially thought. Due to Justina's immense experience and professionalism, a daunting planning turned into a piece of cake. I would HIGHLY recommend Justina to everyone to plan their events. She is absolutely amazing and we felt so inspired by her work ethic and reliability. Once again, thank you so much for making our dream wedding come true Justina!

Early on in our engagement, my husband and I were ambivalent on the idea of hiring a wedding planner. We had already chosen several of our main vendors and thought we could save money and handle planning our wedding on our own but we were mistaken.  We were soon overwhelmed with all the details and started to have decision-making fatigue so we decided to look for a wedding planner. After quite a bit of research we chose Justina/JL Events and we are so grateful we did! Her services were definitely worth the investment. We highly recommend Justina for wedding planning and coordination. She is professional but personable, trustworthy, and very easy to work with. She had great communication from the start and all throughout the preparation for our big day; her responsiveness was amazing. During our first meeting, Justina quickly identified our needs and vision and created a detailed timeline for our wedding planning. She helped us narrow down design choices and accompanied us to meetings with vendors. We were impressed by her organization and proactive approach! Having Justina as our planner helped alleviate much of the stress that comes with planning a large wedding (we had about 260 guests.) There were several instances in which we were frustrated dealing with unresponsive vendors but Justina was great at facilitating communication and even helped us find better companies to work with. Justina helped us stay on track during rehearsal day and was an expert problem-solver. She coordinated with our vendors and the staff at Casa Real with ease and was patient with us and our large wedding entourage. On the day of our wedding, Justina and her assistant Dana took such great care of us and we were able to enjoy our wedding celebration! Justina truly demonstrated her expertise with event coordination. We really appreciated her taking so many behind-the-scenes photos and videos, too! Both of us are extremely busy re: our jobs and knew that we wouldn't be able to dedicate enough time to truly planning an event of this scale. If you're on the fence, go with Amazae. My husband, before we hired Amazae, was on the fence of whether or not we needed planning services. I told him that if we did not hire someone that there would be no wedding. By the time we had finished our venue search, he knew that I was totally right re: the amount of help you get by leveraging someone else's expertise. You do this once (hopefully) in your life. Amazae does this all the time. Amazae knew all the ins and outs of every venue that we could possibly think of in the Bay Area, Carmel, and Napa. They were able to tell us who was beer and wine only, who had a 10pm end time because of noise ordinances, and who required you to use certain caterers that were $x per head. This will save you SO much time and save you visits to random places that don't meet your requirements. Vendor sourcing - they are super good at this re: figuring out (or making you figure out what you like) who matches your style for every vendor, then finding one that fits in your budget. Most importantly, they will make sure everyone shows up (join any wedding FB group and read some horror stories). They will help you with all of the contracting and the collection of COIs, etc. Again, this would have been IMPOSSIBLE for myself and my now husband. We literally do not have the hours in the day to do this. This team is on top of everything - they will chase you down if they need to for answers for pieces of your event. They can make anything happen - from the weirdest requests to the most mundane. They are so professional, and they really make your wedding super personal. Amazae designed and executed a beautiful event from beginning to end that felt so authentic to us. Day of, they were there to take care of everything, and it was truly a flawless day. We could not asked for a better planner re: Crystal, Kaila, and the rest of the team. We put full trust in them re: the design of this event and the day of. Example: I honestly did not know what florals were going to be there, but they were so stunning. The strength of the Amazae team is in their ability to bring you and your personality into an event that is mostly structured a certain way. They also make your day as stress-free as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about this team and their ability to make your wedding great. If you're down to hand things off to someone else, I would say hand it off to them. It will be better than what you could have come up with yourself.

    Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard, even a micro-wedding. You don't want to be cake…read moretasting or menu tasting, so you rely on experts. That's why we decided to hire an event planner for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. Even though it was a small backyard wedding, we wanted it to be memorable and elegant. We interviewed 3 different event planners, and got 3 rough quotes, all around the same ballpark. Amazae's quote, however, was the most detailed, breaking down a high & low range for each item (food, florals, rentals, photography, etc.) It was an easy choice to contract with them. Crystal came onsite for our first meeting, and I really didn't have a lot for her to go on. My daughter isn't the Pinterest type, so I just told Crystal the wedding colors and showed her pictures of the wedding gown and bridesmaid gowns. The rest of the planning was all done via zoom, emails, and a few phone calls. We worked mostly with Caitlin, who is an amazing planner. Each step along the way, she gave us several options to choose from. For example, she provided a list of 4 photographers, their quote for the day, their profile, their gallery, etc. Once all of our choices were made, she put together a design deck that gave us a preview of the entire wedding. It was more gorgeous than I envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Lisa came out to set everything up. She even picked up the florals and wedding cake to save us the delivery fees. It was a little hectic when I met her, and I probably spent 5 minutes with her showing her where everything was before we left for the church ceremony. And when we came back, she was driving off, leaving behind a magical transformation of yard. Everyone was stunned. The catering crew then took over and prepared a "Top Chef" level meal. And when they left, my kitchen was as clean as when they arrived. My husband commented, "Whatever we paid for this wedding, it was worth every penny." Haha. True.
