I'm vegan and this is a GREAT spot to get a quick bite! IMy favorite is the falafel pitas and love all the delicious fixings I can get them to stuff in there! The staff is very friendly and makes suggestions based on allergies and pallet. They even have an allergen menu with detailed descriptions of what allergens are in each item. After reading some recent reviews I was reluctant to try Mezeh. But my curiosity and interest told me to go any, however it probably shouldn't have within 45 mins within them closing. The food was ok but It was noticeable that the food was the last of the night, but I can understand its potential, and even still the food was good just not fresh. The food I put together was good, because I'm familiar with Mediterranean/Greek cuisine but I can see how people get confused about their options. It was our first time trying Mezeh. There was a mix up with our order and the manager Ozmar (sp?) gave us extra special attention and excellent customer service. We were taken care of, above and beyond the little mixup. The food was amazing. My husband had a build your own vegetarian bowl, while I had the shawarma chicken. Usually very good but on several of occasions the lamb kefta meatballs have been so under I oiled they weree raw in the center. They should make them smaller and/or use a meat thermometer to ensure they're cooked through. Going late I in the evening, the carmelized eggplant, which is a popular topping, is always sold out, which is disappointing. The restaurant cleanliness also needs more attention in general - bathrooms (no hooks to hang a purse) and the drink area. I hope these things I mention improve. I love restaurant like this where you have a bar to see what you are getting and you ensure they make it the way you want. You start with picking a base ( bowl, pita, or flatbread ). I went with the bowl and they give you a side pita bread. I chose to have a salad with brown rice as the base. They have tones of protein options I went with chicken kabob since I can't take spicy haha, I won't go in to detail about every topping I added just know there are tons !!! As for dressings to top it off you have quite a few options also. At the end of the line you pay for your food they have extras that pop out like cookies and chips. The drink options are some of the best, they not only have healthy carbonated options they have fresh squeezed waters/ lemonades. This is my 3rd visit to Mezeh. I really enjoyed the previous visits (one was in Suffolk). I even bribed my 16 son to try it over 5 guys. His first couple bites were good.
