Onions and carrots! Thanks, you guys eat it!

Done, never again. Done with distracted people who don't care what theyvare preparing. Yet the same people who who would go off and probably even tear a place up after receiving lousy food. I asked for the chicken and grilled veggies wrap . I got a dab of onions a 1/4 cup of meat and a glob of diced carrots. Those are my grilled veggies? Thanks alot. And to reward you for such attention to this order. I will never order from here again. And yes, I have a big mouth. Get rid of the two to go people before you have no customers left. It's probably too late!

I will start off by saying I love Cava. I frequently go to the Newport News location. I was super excited about a location being Hampton because it's closer to where I live. I will say that I was not impressed with the setup nor the customer service. The staff seemed to have a lackluster attitude and kinda skimpy on the food items. Again, not impressed with this location. I may have to go to Newport News from now on. Virginia Beach location is cool too.

So this wrap and regular drink for lunch cost $20! We have lost our minds as a society at these type of prices. The only reason I came in is because I had a gift card for $10 and wanted to try it and use it. The euro tasted pretty good but was very sloppy and The fillings encompassed more of the gyro than the actual spicy lamb meatball which had four tiny balls. This is yet another establishment that I won't go to again, because they are out pricing the general public at these outrageous prices. Call me old but I feel like $10 should still be able to get you a nice little meal with a small side and a small drink. Good luck to them they won't be getting my harder money in the future.

Stopped in for lunch and it appears to be a soft opening. The staff were friendly and very helpful regarding food options. The space is average. It's great to have another option besides the usual. Hopefully this place will remain clean and deliver on customer service and food satisfaction.

Shibam Yemeni Kitchen - Rice, lamb fahsa in background

What an incredible find! It's tucked back off the main thoroughfare but worth finding! The decor is…read moremesmerizing and lovely. It's a very clean restaurant. The little private nooks are wonderful. And we could not have had better service. I went with two friends and we were all delighted. Our server was Marjan (I have no idea if I am spelling her name right). She was so sweet! We had many questions and she was very patient with us. The food was AMAZING!!! None of us had ever had Yemeni food before so we were googling the names of all the dishes. We ordered three appetizers, three entrees, and three desserts. We all tried one another's dishes and not a single bite was bad. I would be hard-pressed to choose my favorite dish. Oh wait! I can choose a favorite - the mint lemonade! Oh my goodness, what a terrific, refreshing drink!!! The savory flavors of the foods, the textures, and presentation of everything were perfect. And everything came out quickly. We were all so full and happy! We lingered over our meal and we were not rushed at all. There were only a couple other full tables of customers so they didn't hurry our dining experience. We can't wait to go back and we vowed to tell everyone we know to come and experience Shibam.

When this eatery was previously Sweet Dreams and Bella Bistro I was a regular. So when I entered I…read morequickly saw nothing much has changed inside. Same tables and chairs, wall decor, bakery cases, etc. The difference was the colorful signs for Shibam, and television and menu boards showcasing the offerings. First of all the lentil soup on the menu was served in a large bowl with naan bread, with the soup exactly as I hoped. Warm, flavorful, mild spices. On the side I ordered zucchini pancakes, 3 deep fried little latke-like patties. Very tasty with accompanying tsaziki sauce. The two guys with me polished off a large mixed grill for two. One said the rice was incredible! They loved all the various meat offerings of chicken, lamb and beef. We shared a made in house Mediterranean dessert made with coconut and honey. Very sweet and served cold. Total was $58, very reasonable! When the server ran my card she bypassed gratuity so between us we gathered up cash for a tip. They had some fountain sodas available and some special drinks in a fridge. No tea of any kind available and normally I take off for that, but the food was so good I have to overlook that. They were out of cheese roll pastry, but given they were one of very few places open Labor Day being out of an item or two is understandable. They were doing some door dash type business and another couple came to dine in. I hope locals will begin to discover this little hidden Mediterranean jewel just a few doors down from County Grill.

Restaurant is clean, small and inviting for a casual meal. Wait staff was quick to offer service and our order quickly prepared. I have a deep love for shawarmas and once I saw a place near me opened and had shawarma on their menu, I had so much hope. Unfortunately, that hope quickly faded after the first bite. It wasn't bad or gross in any shape or form. The seasoning and the flavor was just not what I've come to love having eaten shawarmas all over the world. Grape leaves for appetizer were good as was the hummus. The pita bread with the hummus was good, but would've been a nicer touch had it been made fresh. My husband rated his lamb gyro 6.5/10.
