This was my first time to Cava. There were 3 people in line ahead of me. The staff that was working stayed in the back area as if no one was standing in line. After about 10 minutes, a young lady came to wait on the first person line. Then a male staff member came to take over for her after she was only there for 2 minutes. He was a little more engaging. The next guy who served the meat section acted as if didn't want to be bothered. My bowl was skimpy compared to others that I witness. I mentioned something to the young man at the cash register and he agreed but didn't offer to do anything about it. I will never go back to this location! Lousy customer service!!!! read more

First of all, the service person did not greet us with a "hello" or even a smile, only, "can I help you?" She also did not have an outgoing or welcoming spirit. Her tone was more job related, instead of customer service. I casually pointed at the food, over the counter and she quickly said to me "do not point at the food, sir." I did not really have a problem with that, but the fact the food is uncovered all day with airborne germs and whatnot, how dare her to chastise me pointing. I will start off by saying I love Cava. I frequently go to the Newport News location. I was super excited about a location being Hampton because it's closer to where I live. I will say that I was not impressed with the setup nor the customer service. The staff seemed to have a lackluster attitude and kinda skimpy on the food items. Again, not impressed with this location. I may have to go to Newport News from now on. Virginia Beach location is cool too. read more

Bri Bri was amazing, great smile and vibe! Food was fresh and my bowl was made exceptionally well. Feta and chicken were really fresh!

Stopped in for lunch and it appears to be a soft opening. The staff were friendly and very helpful regarding food options. The space is average. It's great to have another option besides the usual. So this wrap and regular drink for lunch cost $20! We have lost our minds as a society at these type of prices. The only reason I came in is because I had a gift card for $10 and wanted to try it and use it. The euro tasted pretty good but was very sloppy and The fillings encompassed more of the gyro than the actual spicy lamb meatball which had four tiny balls. This is yet another establishment that I won't go to again, because they are out pricing the general public at these outrageous prices. Call me old but I feel like $10 should still be able to get you a nice little meal with a small side and a small drink. My family went to Cava's today. The food was very good, servings were good but the staff was very dry, acted like they really didn't want to be there. The big guy was waiting on my husband and while he was telling him what else he wanted, he just looked at me and asked what I wanted, completely ignoring my husband. He was trying to do 2 plates at a time, could at least have said, "one minute", or something instead of shrugging and just ignoring him. I suggest the staff have some customer relations training. I would give them 3 stars because of their attitude. read more

The food was great as usual. All employees were busy working and there was short line. I was disappointed at the amount of food that I received. I am an absolute fan of Cava. Love it! However I am not okay with tacky customer service. A simple no instead of smart comments go a long way. Also, proceeding to talk about a customer while they are in your presence is not suggested. I don't want that type of energy coming from someone preparing MY food. I am always willing to pay for extra items or side items especially when this is a repeat order. I enjoyed eating at cava a submitting my order online for lunch everyday and having it ready for pickup. Knowing the people there now I won't be doing that anymore. To others that may read this. Yesterday I ordered two chicken bowls with the lettuces, the rices, the tomatoes, the cheeses, hummus, the garlic dressing, and etc. to go. I added the bread also. When I got home and tasted the food, it was tasty, light, and delicious. I was not stuffed but satisfied. The staff was pleasant and helpful. When I look back the overall experience: ordering, interaction with the staff, the taste of the food, and how I felt after I ate the food was good. I've been to this location a handful of times. Normally, I love CAVA but this location is terrible. They always mess up ingredients in your order, two ingredients at least are always missing. The staff, with the exception of two ladies, aren't any better. They ignore you when you walk in. I've been in there when they're all standing around goofing off and stood there waiting for service. The food also doesn't taste fresh, some of the ingredients had a weird tat ate, and the pita chips were actually stale. Can't speak much about the cleanliness. Not worth going to again. read more
