We were served by Kylie (Kyleigh?) on the patio and she was fantastic. I was a server/bartender in Hampton roads for close to 10 years and she provided my family and I with the best service I have received in a restaurant in a long while. Please give her all the kudos and praise for being a talented server and all around awesome person. Thanks Kylie you capped off a great Saturday. Food and drinks were amazing as well.

Whether it's with friends or just the two of us, we've never been disappointed. Let's see how this visit went. We were immediately seated once we walked inside. It wasn't completely packed for a Saturday afternoon but staff was really busy with customers. The vibe was one that made us comfortable for the most part. After a few minutes of looking over the menu, we were ready to order. My selection was the Tavern Monte Cristo which consisted of chargrilled chicken and ham as the protein with Gouda cheese and cider aioli fried in a tempura batter with tavern fries. The meal was served hot and ready and tasted great. And having the cranberry coulis as a dipping sauce really added some taste. My only gripe with the sandwich was the amount of protein. I'm not sure if I ate most of it when we dined in, but when I ate the rest for dinner, it was more breading than anything else. Still good but they could've included more. Nonetheless, I was full. Good stuff as always from Park Lane Tavern :)

It's just a horrible experience as is. They need to go to Precarious and see how they do it. Their food is generally good to great. They have a $5 before 5 app and drink special menu that is a really good deal. Nice spot for adults to have some drinks. Just be patient as service is generally slow. Now onto my recent experience.... I suggested it to some friends who wanted to grab some beers on MLK day which was a Monday. There were 4 of us guys and 7 kids. It's a lot. I get it. They weren't overly busy. Maybe a quarter full. I tried to keep the kids away from other tables by giving them boundaries. They were not happy with us. They didn't like the kids being outside in their patio (freezing, no one out there) etc. The one server was getting destroyed. She had just like 6 tables, but a 16 top. I felt badly for her. Our drinks correspondingly took about 20-30 minutes each time we tried to order. She was nice when she could get to us. At one point a person who said they were a manager, I think she said her name was Hannah, came over and said the kids couldn't be going around (again, I had boundaries not by any other patrons etc. from what I could see they were honoring them, but who knows), anyway she asked if we could keep them by us, which is fine. I then asked her if I could put in a beer and app order as I had been waiting for our server with an empty beer for at least 20 minutes. Instead of taking the order and ringing it in, she said she'd send the server over and disappeared never to be seen again. 5 minutes Iater the server was able to get free from her big table and get our beer orders and food in. Several items were forgot, but at this point we were kind of over it. Just not really your typical relaxed brewery vibe. Felt like they wanted it to be more of a sit down restaurant. That big long story to say it's not a spot for kids. Overall food and drinks are solid. Beer is solidly middle of the pack for Peninsula. Management needs some work.

I stopped in for lunch with some co-workers and was greeted by a nice and friendly staff. The main parking lot is kind of small and was pretty full during lunch. It is easy to get in and out of. I ordered the G.O.A.T. burger which revved up all my tastebuds. The blueberry jalapeno BBQ sauce on the burger combined with goat cheese was a great balance between sweet, tangy and spicey. The fried jalapeno and bacon added some extra spice, crunch and saltiness. This burger is righteous. To wash down my burger and fries I selected the red ale, which is balanced and not hoppy tasting. I am a big fan of red ale if you are not a fan of overly hoppy beer.

I've been in the industry for over 25 years grew up with the "the best pizza places" in Queens..... blah, blah, and tbh I am kinda a snob too, I know how hard a kitchen is. But I can also tell when a restaurant just puts crap out because if they don't no more job.. but this friggin place has that special something that you can automatically tell that there is actually love put into everything. It's just one of those places. I honestly have not been this amazed by pizza in years. It's all the same. It was like having pizza for the first time again. This is 100% a BOH PLACE. Between the crazy quality of the beer selection and that sauce holy crap I'm going to dream about that damn sauce! I say that this is a restaurant for restaurant people but anyone would be floored by this place. GREAT F'N JOB Just go. Had to buy a hat to represent this great addition to the area Maybe this will help Hilton Village become a destination to eat, drink and bar hop. Who the hell needs 75 architects and lawyers??? I agree--it does look like a hole in the wall from the outside. The inside wasn't as nice as I expected, but it was reasonable. We had the crab dip and cheesy rice balls as appetizers. The crab dip was a bit too smooth for my taste. I think some places make it with a cream-based product and blend it, so you don't get many chunks of crab. I prefer chunky pieces of crab in my dip. That said, it wasn't bad. I usually eat a little and then stop halfway through because it's just not my preference, but this one was okay. The rice balls were good. We also had the blackened tuna, which was actually pretty good. It was a dish we were able to split between the two of us, and we both enjoyed it. I didn't like getting my drink in a plastic cup--that set me back a bit. All in all, it was a decent experience. It's on my list of places to visit, but probably not somewhere I'd go every six to eight weeks.

So, we get the wings, and the only heat they had was the warmth from the chicken. No flavor at all. It definitely wasn't sweet, and it wasn't spicy. By the third wing, we were still trying to figure out if the heat was going to kick in, and it did not. So, he's like, "OK," and I ordered the jalapeño and Swiss burger. You know me, I love jalapeños, so I'm thinking, "Okay, maybe it'll have some good savory flavor." I've done those kinds of burgers before. The flavor was mid. You could tell they just hand-patted the meat, threw it on the stove, and called it a day. No salt, no pepper, no flavor. Bland as can be. And the jalapeños weren't even hot. I was like, "What?" I grow fresh jalapeños, so I know what they're supposed to taste like, and these weren't it. One of our friends got the bourbon barbecue wings, and she said they tasted like somebody mixed a ketchup packet with some tomato paste, and that was about it. The only thing that was even decent was probably the sweet tea. And then, our friend had to order another meal. I think she got the chicken Philly or something like that, and that actually had some flavor. But here's what got me: how do the French fries have flavor, but my burger and wings don't? I will not be going back. And I'm gonna write a review, because that made no sense., they had pulled pork too. You know pulled pork is supposed to be savory, maybe with a nice sauce or two. This pulled pork they gave me? Dry. They barely gave me any sauce. No ma'am, no sir, it sucked big time. Not going back, not at all. I'm just glad I didn't pay full price, because I would've been mad.
