a piece of pizza and a bowl of tomato sauce

I had the best Italian food in town! The meat lover's calzone, veal parmigiana, and calamari were all terrific. I enjoyed it so much that this will be my go-to place for Italian food. The marinara sauce was the best I have ever had, and the complimentary bread was hot and baked to perfection. Our party of 25 people was seated in the outdoor area, which had heaters, and it turned out to be amazing. Everyone had a great time, and there were praises all around for the food, staff, and ambiance. The service was efficient and prompt. I would like to thank Jen for her excellent service. I highly recommend this place to all fellow Yelpers. Do check them out!

This long time locally owned Italian eatery is popular with locals for its good food, generous portions, good prices, quick service and multi seating options. The antipasta is HUGE and tasty. The combination platter has good portions of Italian favorites. Many people enjoy the pizza which is made fresh as ordered. The menu is extensive with much to choose from. I have never had any problems here with anything. It is just consistently good food served up fresh.

    Yummy!! Andrea's is the best!!

The food was delicious. It was cooked to order and came out without delay. I try something different every time I come here and they never disappoint. Also the atmosphere is nice - not loud and chaotic.

I love a good salad so in my quest to find one, I remembered this place because it's attached to the spa I go to. I've always wanted to try it out. So looking at pics I decided on the antipasto, a large. I called it in and when I went to pick up my order she handed me a heavy bag. I thought, this must be the wrong order, it's too heavy for a salad. So I got to my car and opened the container and boy oh boy! The container was filled to the MAX with salad. It must have weighed at least 2-3 lbs. I rushed home and dived right in. The Italian dressing was ok, could have had more flavor but I was happy regardless. A few days later I went back and ordered the same salad except with balsamic vinegar which didn't have a lot of oomph to me so instead I used my handy dandy Olive Garden dressing. I will continue to get this salad and just figure out the best dressing to order with it. This salad could be enough for 2 people, for $15.50 that's not bad.

I paired it with the Greek board, which had all the Mediterranean favorites. A generous amount of pita, olives, hummus, feta and grapes! I'm a sucker for a good Med plate. okay, I really want to leave this place a 1 star review so people don't come and I can keep it all…read moreto myself, but that wouldn't be fair. This place is a hidden gem! Bird Girl is situated in the super cute, cozy area of Hilton Village. If you're not familiar with the area, it is comprised of businesses in retrofitted homes from the early 1900s. The shop and pizza kitchen are located inside the first floor of the home, and there are a few high top tables inside. Most of the seating is outdoors in the "front yard" with picnic tables and high top bench seating. The yard is fenced, making it a wonderful option for families with children. We went on a very busy Friday evening and had to wait about 40 minutes for a table to free up for our group of 12 (6 adults, 6 kids). It was no problem waiting because we just got a few drinks (the wine slushies are so good!) and let the kids play and color. The vibe was really like a back yard hang out, and the clientele is very relaxed and friendly. This isn't pretentious brew pub. Their wine room is lined with bottles to purchase and enjoy there or take home. There are two large coolers with many different craft beers, and they do have a few craft options on draft. For the non-alcohol crowd they have a great selection of NA beers and wines, and sodas as well. They even have juice boxes for the kids! Their selection is great for trying new things and finding your next favorite. Feeling adventurous? Try a brown paper wrapped "mystery beer". Their pizzas. Ya'll. I told a few different folks about our plans to try Bird Girl. The response was the same every time. "Their pizza is amazing". They weren't kidding. They offer 3-4 rotating options, but also offer the option to build your own. The flavor was great, the ingredients were fresh, and the pizza was just the right thickness to perfectly fold. I'm not a crust person, but we left nothing on our plates. We did wait about an hour for our pizzas, but that isn't a slight against them. It's more of a general warning for anyone who comes bere for the first time. They were really busy, it was a Friday night, and they only have 4 ovens. Honestly, I was impressed with how friendly and social the kitchen was (it's an open concept) while they were still working like crazy. Again, just good people all around. Because it is a counter service restaurant we never had to wait for drinks, and the wait didn't seem too bad. Its a great place to come to enjoy good company. So long as you come with that attitude you will have a good time. 5/5 yall!

This has been high on my "want to try" for a long time and finally saw an opportunity with an available reservation, went for it and am so happy I did. I dined solo, which I rarely do, but this was the perfect place for it. It was apparent that most people dining were regulars. The owner was chatting with just about everyone and diners were popping over to other tables to say hello, as well. Felt like a very small town. Service was perfect - not overbearing, but perfectly timed for a good flow throughout dinner. Their menu changes often, so some of the items I loved, may not be available - but it does seem like their fried oysters are a mainstay and holy moly, they were delicious. I had one cocktail - I believe it was called Watermelon Sugar. It had vodka, aperol and fresh watermelon. Refreshing and smooth. I tried two apps: the fried oysters and the bao buns. Both were fantastic. Perfectly prepared, so much flavor. I think that next time, I would stick to the appetizer section and try many rather than getting an entree. I got the scallops, which were delicious, but the apps wow-ed me more. Prices aren't low, but you get what you pay for - really high quality dishes with lots of thought and execution embedded. I don't say this lightly - this has been added to my top 10 list in all of Hampton Roads!

Hold the heck up!!!!!…read more WOW. Listen, I really don't give 5 star reviews very often, but Cork and Crust definitely earned it! I came here with a friend after a random Trader Joe's excursion and we were hungry, looking for food that was in the area at ~8:30pm. Boom, enter Cork and Crust (thanks, Yelp!). I will tell you that the location is a bit small, and seating may be a bit tight depending on how many you have in your party and how much food you're ordering. However, there were two of us and we sat at a 2-seater in the back of the restaurant, both ordering pizzas and drinks, and we were fine! We were able to sit wherever we wanted (it wasn't busy, just a few folks in at the time), and the staff was SO SO SO friendly and accommodating. Big time family vibes. Promise and Trish took care of us (and our shenanigans) for the evening, and they were so great! We were so conflicted (mostly my friend LOL) on what to order, so we had lots of questions and just general foolishness. The ladies were so helpful (especially Promise) in literally pulling up a chair and sitting down with us to discuss the menu and answer all of our questions. We ended up ordering the lamb sliders for our appetizer (came with 2), and they were so so good (I am not a lamb fan), although just smidge moist (you have to eat them fast so the meat doesn't soak through the toasted brioche bun). We also both ordered a drink (that I literally cannot remember the name of - Flying Dutchess??? IDK! Don't be mad with me! LOL). But it was somehow like a lemon ricotta cheesecake, but in a cocktail. I can't explain it to you, but you should try it. SO SMOOTH (also from a person who does not like alcohol). It's like a vanilla, earl grey, lemon vibe and it is such an interesting drink with a smooth transition through flavors. 10/10. I ordered the Bianca 5- 'The Anthony Bourdain' Pizza (sub the mortadella because I don't eat pork, with pineapples), and let me tell you somethingggg! That dang gone pizza was SO GOOD. My friend ordered the Bianca 10 (I didn't try this but she said it was delicious). My friend was so impressed by the food and just the experience overall that she asked the ladies if she could talk to the Chef, so he came over (very nice and humble human), and he explained a bit about how they design the menu and what kind of foods they use. So interesting and honestly just such a cool vibe. I will also offer that the restrooms are gender-neutral and clean! They also have baby changing stations in them, and they have feminine products as well (how considerate!) I will DEFINITELY be back here because this place was just so cool. I really enjoyed it, and this is also coming from a person who would NEVER choose pizza as a first option for food! I intend to check out some of the pastas on the next visit!

She cleared the extra glassware and plates when we placed our order as we didn't get wine or pizza so wouldn't need the preset plates. They have a full bar with various craft cocktails. Dinner entrees ranged from $18-32 a person and the presentation and flavors were good. Entrees don't come with salad or bread which could cost an extra $8-12. For that price point, I would think a salad or bread would be included. The portions won't leave you hungry but you aren't likely to have leftovers to take home.
