From the service to the food everything was great. We had a big group of 12 and they were able to accommodate. Started with salad and delicious bread knots for the table, calamari and mussels appetizers. The sauce with the mussels was delicious. Everyone's dishes looked delicious and everyone enjoyed their food. We had linguine with clams, angel hair pasta with mussels, clams, shrimp, ravioli filled with lobster, spaghetti and meatballs. I decided to try this place while in the area on a Wednesday evening. Once inside the staff greeted me and had good polite service. The place looked decent but the chairs were a bit uncomfortable. The menus were filthy. I ordered a large cheese pizza with ham. It was about $20, not a terrible price. The pizza came out after 15ish minutes. I ended up taking it to go because I was in a rush. When I got home I checked it out. It wasn't cut correctly and slightly under cooked. It had a ton of cheese which wasn't a bad thing. I had to recut it and cook it again. The taste was pretty good. Overall I can't give the place a bad or a good review. I feel like on a good day I would have had a better experience. read more

I was looking for a pizza place that's open on a Sunday for takeout and found Toscana. I got my husband a spinach pizza which is like a white pizza add spinach- ricotta, garlic, olive oil. I got a chicken parm which came with a side salad and 4 garlic knots. I was impressed with 3 chicken parm pieces and it was all really good. I didn't see an option to order direct from Toscana on their website so ordered by phone rather than using a service like grubhub. Food was ready in 20 minutes. Stopped in for lunch and ordered the chicken picatta. The service was great, very quick and attentive. The decor is ok but I think it's just such a large open space that it doesn't feel complete. The chicken picatta was decent but it was heavy on the cream and the chicken looked boiled. The salad came out very quickly and the salad dressing was perfect. I will say that this is probably the best Italian food that I've eaten in a while. The service was amazing. I had ordered the Chicken Marsala and it's one of the best I've ever eaten. We got an order of fried calamari which came with a spicy marinara. They gave us garlic knots which is delicious. Everything was delicious. I did have a hair on one of the garlic knots. I will not go back to this establishment. Once I ate my leftovers I found hair in my leftovers. It's a shame because the food is good but finding the hair is a turn off. read more

This was our first visit to Toscana as a result of their Yelp reviews. They did not disappoint! My wife got the Eggplant Parmesan, I got the Chicken Marsala and my Grandson got the Shrimp Parmesan. The food came out so hot we almost couldn't eat it. And the Shrip dish almost didn't fit on the plate. Each shrimp was enormous - 3-4 bites each. My Veal was tasty but the sauce was a bit watery and could have used some more Marsala flavor. All three dishes came with fresh garlic knots which were great! Literally the only downside of the whole meal was the ambience -- or lack there of. When you walk in the first thing you see is a bar with people's back ends; literally less than 10 feet from the front door. One glance around shows blank white walls and little else. They were wonderful cooks, but the dont know anything about decorating. Honestly, go to Tascana for the food. Just ignore the decor! read more

Just had takeout, and it was quite good. Service was great; the food ready quickly. Started with a Caesar salad - fresh, but not at all a Caesar (tomatoes, mozz? Not sure what dressing was on it - but not a Caesar). BUT - no worries - the pasta entrees were the stars. My husband's chicken piccata fettuccine took 1st place - lemony, creamy, tender chicken. Yum. My pasta: fettuccine Duchessa - chicken, pancetta, mushrooms, peas all tossed in a tasty creamy sauce. Couldn't really find the pancetta - but the dish was still tasty. We didn't see that a small side salad came with our entrees - so we'll have those tomorrow. Garlic knots came with the meal, as well. They were hot, garlicky, and good. No dessert. REALLY excited to have a good Italian restaurant back in Yorktown (we come a couple times a year - so, can't wait to return to Toscana!)! read more

I've had lunch and dinner here numerous times in the last few years and I've never been disappointed. The food is always prepared well, the portions are ample, and the service is great. Lots to choose from: seafood, veal, chicken, pasta, pizza, fresh salads, and a couple of specials each day. The garlic knots are served hot and buttery. Wonderful casual family restaurant! The calzones and stromboli are huge! A small can feed two people and a medium can feed three. The homemade marina is really good and the staff is nice.
