Fantastic shrimp tacos loaded with the fixings. Really good chips and salsa- especially love the green jalapeño sauce. They are usually quick- we've only done drive-through. My husband likes the beef crispy tacos and we also like the bean and cheese. Pina coladas and margaritas are good. The building is on par for temple, but don't let that detour you. read more

Stopped in for dinner where my wife and I shared a fajita plate and a couple beers. We seated ourselves and were quickly brought menus and our server took our drink order. Wife had a 16 ounce draft Dos Equis and I had a 32 ounce Modela Especial. We opted to split the fajita plate ($17.99) as we weren't super hungry. Glad we did as the portion was large. We asked for mixed chicken and beef. The dish was very quickly brought out hot and sizzling. It was served with beans, rice, pico de gallo, guacamole, a grilled jalapeño, and warm flour tortillas. We were also provided a basket of chips and 4 different salsas. Everything was delicious. The beef was slightly tough, but the flavor made up for it. Our server was very attentive, stopping by to make sure everything was good. We finished up and were brought our check and settled it right there at the table; no waiting to go and run the card first. Bottom line; we'll be back. This restaurant was convenient to our hotel on a recent weekend. We had actually dined at another location of this local chain the day before. Food was decent so we decided to try breakfast. The website had a picture of every menu item. Umm, OK it's wierd. Those photos ALMOST drove us away. Clearly, they didn't hire a professional. Our friends drove over from Killeen to dine with us also saw the online stuff. We sipped coffee wondering if our food would match the bad photos; each plate was hilariously similar in basic presentation. I mean, who puts bacon on top of an omelette? Yet, my beef fajita version had the meat inside? Buddy had the meat lovers (also inside) omelette; hashbrowns and biscuit with gravy. His girl had the KETO breakfast; GF had the migas. Food is ok, lots of cumin, and I favor lime and cilantro more. That being said, the service was excellent, our waitress very cheerful and accommodating. I had an issue with the bathrooms, being disabled. I asked to talk to the owner, Orlando, who was friendly and stopped what he was doing to hear me out. Turns out the family restroom has bars to hold and a wider door than the women's restroom. I suggested maybe adding that fact on the sign above the restroom. Saw this place while traveling and thought we'd check it out. The food was FANTASTIC and the service from Barbara our waitress was EXCELLENT. I had the joy of discovering new flavors with Barbara's expert guidance. She was knowledgeable and helped me understand a few menu items that were unfamiliar. This is the worse mexican restaurant I have ever been to. To be fair I went back today after the first time in case I was wrong the first time. The first time I went for a breakfast taco and asked for it to have just a little cheese. I opened it up and it had a cup of cheese in it and it was not melted. The second time I went for chicken quesadillas and it was a folded over burrito with huge chunks of cheese in it. This is the third and last time I visited this restaurant. I ordered chicken enchiladas Verde. Three corn chicken enchiladas with Verde sauce, no Verde sauce, just corn, chicken and a little Monterey jack cheese. Asked for no beans, got beans. I took the order back and still no Verde sauce to be found, just dry tortillas, shredded chicken and a little Monterey jack cheese. disappointing! I will not be going back. What's this issue? ? Yes, I have definitely experienced way better (2-stars), but after today's breakfast I've downgraded these guys to a 1-star. It just wasn't good at all. The last time I came here I had the steak and eggs ($7.99), which was respectable. The meat was a bit on the greasy side but solid in quality, the eggs were made the way I asked - - over medium. In the future if you're craving meat for breakfast - just go for the cheaper piece of meat....you're actually not settling here as less is better here. This time I decided to upgrade to the T-Bone Steak and Eggs Breakfast @ $10.99. I'm thinking I'll get a nice piece of beef with a t-bone, and the waitress even said the steak was better, but it didn't happen (see pics). If you compare the two steaks, the one I got this morning seemed like a wretched piece of skirt steak - - it was horrid. No T-Bone either, so I asked the waitress to go ask the cook if they had possibly made a mistake - - she didn't want to ask and just kept telling me that I got the right order. Nice. My eggs were way too runny to be over medium, the wretched piece of beef was not cooked to medium well, and potatoes were lacking flavor and scarce. I had to use the restroom and seriously thought of getting rid of the food I just ate as it wasn't settling too well on the inside. I should have asked her to take it back for something else. The highlight of my time here was the glass of ice water and the homemade flour tortillas that came with the meal. Total damage with tip = $15.02. That's the last $15 I plan to spend here, no mas.....no mas. Service here is usually slow and not as responsive or attentive, although the two waitresses I've had were nice and polite. While I was paying the waitress asked how everything was, I told her the steak was horrid. She felt bad and apologized and then said she hoped to see me again. I'm sorry, but No Mas. read more

This place used to be really good, but no more. We were there today and it was just awful. Primarily the service was the worst. They had plenty of employees but they mostly just stood around the kitchen door. We had to ask for refills over and over on chips, salsa and drinks. The guy who I think is the busboy provided far more service than our waitress. He was doing all the hustling and did it with a smile. The food was slow coming and when it arrived much of it was cold. A couple of orders were wrong and one was just forgotten. The floor was dirty and the men's room was filthy and smelled terrible. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

My wife and I decided to stop here for lunch since we were in the area. I mean what could be better than Mexican food for lunch on such a beautiful Texas day!? Well, we walked in at 11:30 a.m and there is a nice lunch time crowd present. Always a good start. Immediately after taking our seats our server comes over to take our drink order. A few minutes later another server takes our food order. All is well with the world... It is now 12:12 p.m and we are walking out for the lack of service. We watched countless patrons eat and leave- many of whom, arrived well after we did. This left us sort of dumbfounded because I have never just not receive any food.
