My first time visiting or eating here. This was the 3007 W. Stan Schlueter location. The food was served hot off the grill. Enough food to feed at least two people at a reasonable price. The service was friendly, helpful, and inviting. The restaurant was colorful and pleasant. The noise was medium loud but you could still hear a conversation. I will return read more

First time trying this place, definitely has that taqueria esthetic if that's what you're looking for. The Carne asada plate was amazing, the chef cooked the steak perfectly little pink in the middle and tender as heck. Only issue was the tortillas kinda tasted like they were store bought. The Rice, beans, sautéed veggies were very tasty. The beef fajita mini taco were alright, I didn't really taste any seasoning. All I tasted was the onion, cilantro, lime and the charro beans were good. Service was great food didn't take long at all, overall it was a good experience. read more

The waitress had the biggest attitude ever and would snatch the menus from me and my family and then when it came time to refill drinks she would roll her eyes and have a negative attitude towards it. And the chicken was the most bland and nasty thing on the menu. Would NOT recommend if you are looking for something actually welcoming and edible. read more

Skinny young, Cuban or Puerto Rican cashier there stole my credit information several years ago. Left me traumatized. Should have known by the fact that he was laughing with his coworker and gave me a lemonade instead of an horchata. This was the stan Schlueter location. And they are extremely rude on the HHKs location. read more

The food is amazing. I have had the quesadillas, burritos, all the Birria items, etc. They give you nice size portions for the prices and the drinks are reasonably priced/STRONG as well. The customer service is great, it feels like a family ran restaurant. I have been numerous times and I have never had a bad customer service situation. The inside looks great, I don't know what an authentic Mexican restaurant looks like but I would imagine this would be it. read more

The restaurant itself is a hidden gem. Just not on the busy side of town. Restaurant is a nice size. Food came out fairly fast. The food itself was above average. Drink specials were good. I'd definitely go back again. No issue with the customer service. read more

Yesterday I came to Taquerias Mexico on the recommendation of a friend. This was my first time in Killeen so I was incredibly excited to check everything out. I ordered the Fajita Tamiquenas plate with Beef fajitas. I was disappointed to learn that their flour and corn tortillas were store bought in lieu of being homemade. The plates came out relatively quickly and I thought it was okay. Not bad, not amazing, but it did fill me up which was nice. I did not take enough photos because I went there incredibly hungry. read more

Food and service was absolutely amazing and very chill vibe .. also had a DJ on the other side!

Fast and friendly service. I found them to be a hair more expensive than I expected, but the food portions were ample. The pork in the taco salad was very flavorful and fresh. The beef in the taco was bland and flavorless. The refried beans had a heavy amount of smokiness. They add a cost to debit and credit card transactions. Despite my so-so experience, this place is always busy and they have a very extensive menu. On a side note, the also serve breakfast. Must try that soon. read more

I never had an issue with this place until today, I sent my husband to ordered some food to go, which we knew what we wanted was the Molcajete Cielo Mar Y Tierra. We ordered two of those which came up to 51$ which they over charged cse for 2 is 32.99$ but I didn't care about the over charged but what we received was just regular fajitas. Then when, my husband went back, they tried to give him a hard time on their mess up. I was a faithful customer until today. I will take my hard earned money some where else, not here. read more

Environment: It was extremely clean and surprisingly they had a great playlist with of modern day hip hop/ rnb music. Food: The food was amazing. We started with the usual, chips and salsa. It came with the two sauces one mild one spicy. I tried the seafood soup, which was delicious. It consisted of crab, clam, shrimp, and what I believe to be mini squid or octopus. It came with a side of Spanish rice, lime, cilantro, and onions. The Spanish rice does have a nice kick to it and taste amazing when u dip it in the soup broth. It was extremely savory. My cousin had fries with melted cheese sauce, chicken bits, and avocado. I didn't get a chance to try it but the smile on her face sure let me know it was amaze balls ! Oh and they had $1 margaritas Staff: Everyone looked well kept and was extremely friendly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the menu items. Overall: I will defiantly go back again. Next time I may try their steak fajitas. Would definitely recommend this place. read more

Ordered 2 carne asada (definitely not true carne asada) tacos and they were served on top of one another wrapped in a single piece of foil. You can't eat them in the car, all of the ingredients fell out and the meat was dry. I was charged $1 extra for cheese. Including taxes I wasted $9.50 and was left more hungry. I hate feeling like I wasted money. read more

Colorful dining room! Good service. Tasty meat and shrimp. Nice portions, but bland rice, and bland charro beans. The tortillas were also not homemade. :( Good chips and salsa though. Delicious green sauce! Plenty of parking and even has a drive through. They have a happy hour with drink specials. You'll leave full if not completely satisfied with the flavors presented. Maybe I'm just extra picky with my Mexican food. Oh, well. Only the meats seemed to stand out to me. read more

I love this place been coming for years. HOWEVER.. there's a waitress named LILLY that ruined everything for me. We sat down, took her 15 minutes to even ask for our drink. When we attempting to order, we were being rushed. Lilly was using hand signals to speed us to up to order. STRIKE 1. I let it go Food gets here, my boyfriend's came out great. My order came out cool too but I didn't know it came with cheese. Lilly sassy ass said well you didn't tell me you didn't want cheese. I didn't know it came with cheese if it only says LETTUCE AND TOMATO! She proceeds to snatch my plate away, rolling her eyes. I told her no it's okay, please let me speak to the manager. Jorge attempted to resolve the issue with replacing my order. Food was great. Waitress did not apologize nor see anything wrong. She brought our check while my boyfriend packed his food. The way the restaurant works, you walk up to pay. We are sitting down having conversation. She comes back to ask us if we were going to pay. At this point I don't even understand why we are being treated that way. We had no intentions on running off. We both worked a long day and was coming to relax. Lilly thanks to you, our first dinner date is 4 months was trash. read more

My 5 star review is based on drive through experience only. Having a baby and dining in a restaurant is a tad difficult so for now drive through is what we do. But let me tell you the food is delicious! I normally order the taquitos plate which consists of 4 mini tacos, with your meat of choice, cilantro, onion, beans (refried or charro), and a jalapeño. Sounds like a little but it's a lot and super delicious. Every time I've been the girls at the window are super nice and friendly. I will be coming here in the future hopefully to dine in once baby is older read more

Service was terrible. Waitress took our order after sitting for 15 minutes. During that time she was loudly joking in the kitchen area. Took even longer for the food to come out and when it did it was missing items. My wife and I food came out first and my kid's meal didn't come out until we were almost done with our meal. I am so in love with this place, been going for yrs now. Thank you for adding the ramen birria, what an amazing idea! The ambiance is great.

Average Mexican joint. Came here for lunch and everything is satisfactory. The free chips tastes like they are from a bag instead of fried fresh. Salsa is amazing though. Ordered the chicken flautas and the portions were good for the price. The place has some interesting chair decor. But overall good but not great Mexican spot. Protip: There are buzzers at the table to ring for your waiter. Didn't know that was there until we waited a while to get our check. Yelp 100 Challenge 74/100 read more

It took 45 mins to receive my food, they had to switch my tacos for being wrong and then I ended up with the wrong soup order too. The tacos were cooked very well, the soup was not to liking but it could be me personally. The bean soup was good and the best part to me was the pepper the onions were a little on the salty side. Food can be good. Use to be great a few year back. But one thing that's horrible is their birria anything. What ever you get for their birria, the dip seems to be the oil leftovers from the flattop. No seasoning or nothing. Just oil. Tacos or quesadillas. Same birria dip for them all. It's horrible. Worst I've ever had. Tried twice in 2 different weeks. Same results. Best to just eat anything else besides the birria anything. read more

Would choose negative star if it were an option. I tried this 5/13/2022 and 5/14/2022 w/ same result. Dry & overcooked eggs. Disgusting. Either the Chef working doesn't care about quality and sends this out or maybe it's their expediter if they have one is okay with below average food. Maybe employees dislike the job, idk I don't work there. The food is below par, if they slack on something as simple as making an order as they do everyday what else are they slacking on. Inexcusable! I'll take my business elsewhere. Y'all have a great day! read more

Not authentic Mexican food. I ordered #7 Carne Guisada accompanied by beans, rice and guacamole. Flavor was unsatisfying. We frequent this establishment once a week as a family. The food never disappoints and the music adds an awesome touch. Giving 4 starts instead of 5 due to tonight's service. Flaco was extremely inattentive and the other servers were willing to assist AFTER we asked them multiple times. When I was a server I would make sure tables were okay, even tables that weren't mine. It's the small things that make a visit that much more enjoyable. Only docking one star for this experience and hoping service will be better on our next visit. Update: We've now come a few times since my initial review and this establishment has only gone down hill since then. Their tortilla soup has decreased in quality and flavor. There is no longer avocado, the "chicken" is a pink cube of uncooked mess, and the vegetables taste like they came straight from the garden. Their pork leg tacos have also decreased in quality. We found about 5 bones in one taco. When we asked the manager about the quality of the soup he stated that "the soup has always been this way" to which we flatly replied "no sir it has not." We frequent this establishment when coming in from Houston. We will give them some space for a while until the food tastes authentic like it used to. read more
