I was drawn to Los Burritos because I was looking for a place that served Carne Asada Fries and there was a positive recommendations here. The food at Los Burritos does not disappoint and comes out quickly. I've tried their California Steak Burrito, Patron Burrito, Chorizo Special Burrito and of course the Carne Asada Fries. Hands down the best and most authentic San Diego-style Mexican food we've had since moving here! You can tell everything is made fresh -- from the chips to the fillings, nothing tasted premade or reheated. The taquitos weren't the usual frozen kind you find at most places -- these were clearly made in-house and packed with flavor. Me & my other half went here and all I can say is, "It's definitely work visiting if you're looking for an authentic restaurant. Very clean, well maintained, & you could tell that the tables and floor are mopped pretty often. I ordered the Wet Burrito which was a pretty decent portion for the price, the flavor definitely was there. My other half ordered the Carne Asada plate which came with 2 Tacos & a lot of Rice & Beans. The Jamaica wasn't too sweet or watered down and just perfectly hydrating and refreshing. I ordered the California Burrito added pico and guacamole it was quite delicious & their red sauce was spicy and good! I'm usually a green sauce girly but the red was the winner for me. Wasn't busy at all during late lunch on a weekend and service was quick. We ordered 10 carne asada tacos for two people which were $3.25 each plus a drink so it was almost $40 -- a bit pricey but maybe it's because it already comes with pico and guac and the servings of the tacos were bigger than expected. I miss this place immensely since PCSing. Best carne asada tacos in the area. The service is amazing I've never had any issues. Lunch rush by a military base can take forever to get your food but not Los Burritos. They are fast and efficient and always have the best attitudes. This California-style hole-in-the-wall was recommended to me from two different people and one is a Californian! I was greeted right away by the cashier. She had to leave for a little while, but the observant cook stepped in right away to take my order. I ordered the veggie burrito with grilled onions. It was huge! It was mostly beans and rice which filled me up and I didn't have an upset stomach. They also have a condiment bar, and the juicy lime and crispy cucumbers were fresh. The close team were friendly, and one of the workers had shown us a beautiful cloth she made. (I insisted in finding out how much she would sell the small piece for. If you are interested it is $10.). I also had the pecan confection, and it was sweet and gooey like caramel -- the flavor was all pecan though. Right now is Lockdown, and there is no indoor seating. The workers in front do wear masks and keep their distance, and you can watch the TV while you wait for your order. It was affordable to eat here and it's a lot of food. I got the chorizo Special and it was absolutely delicious. Not only was it delicious but it's a big burrito and for a good price. The inside of the building is clean and it's small but you don't feel crammed. The have a sauce bar if you want to add extra sauces to your food.
