The Birria tacos are fully worth the hype! The sauces are all delicious too but the flavors and quality of meat truly knock this out of the park. They pop up with their truck at a lot of local spots so it's fun to get to visit a new spot plus get some delicious tacos! read more

My second time having it and it was as great as the first time. They are consistent with friendly service and tasty food. They are located at a great location so parking near the truck is never an issue. I ordered the queso birria tacos. The first time, I believe I had a Bmore quesadilla. Both were great and the portion size is worth the price. read more

They messed up my order first time around. When I got the food it was cold and very very very greasy. I've never had such tasteless, greasy bad al pastor tacos. Never again. read more

Food truck are most definitely the preferred way for this foodie girl to dine! I happened upon the Mexican On the Run food truck at the trifecta food festival. The line was long, so I just knew the food was hit and my instinct was right. The tacos were overstuffed with flavorful goodness! While I do wish the chicken was chopped a little bit more finely, they were very tasty and seasoned well I especially enjoyed the green sauce, which just added to the amazing flavors of the pollo tacos! The prices are affordable. The staff is very friendly. The food is very tasty. If you run into the nice folks on the Mexican On the Run food truck, give them a try. You will not be disappointed! read more

Their wonderful location at the PA Dutch Market is perfect. I'll always miss the bison place that was here in the past, but if we have to move forward, we should be happy with MOTR! Service was speedy...order, pay, and food is on the table soon after. I got three tacos (pollo and al-pastor) which were perfect. Tasty, soft and juicy meat, with flavorful spice mixes on both types. There are many little tables in front of the counter, and while they do fill up fast, it's never hard to get one. The only downside is the limited hours of the market itself. read more

Amazing tacos! Mexican on the Run was the taco truck at ministry of brewing and it was delicious. We had the birria tacos, Al pastor, chorizo, and carnitas and they were all 10/10. Service was also excellent. read more

Solid food truck. I bunch of my friends have been raving about how good the food is here so today I decided to finally give them a try. I really had to plan out my visit here because they don't come to where I live. It was about a 20 min drive. I heard they get crowded but on this Tuesday when I arrived around 1:30 there were only two people in line. I kept is simple with the Mexican chicken street tacos. My order was ready quickly and after just a few minutes of waiting I was on my way home to enjoy. They smelled delicious. When I got home they looked great too. They chicken was a little over cooked and dried out a bit. The flavor was savory but they used a lot of fresh onion that overpowered the seasoning. I doctored them up with a little guacamole and salsa from my fridge that helped to balance it out. The portion size was more than enough to fill me up with Judy three tacos. The corn tortillas were the best part in my opinion. They were not hard yet they didn't fall apart when I picked them up. Over all it was good and I would go back again but probably wouldn't make a trip across town again just for it. I think my friends hyped it up too much and it didn't meat my high expectations. read more

I stumbled upon this food truck during the pandemic and boy am I glad I did! It has its regular home base and communicates the weekly lineup via Facebook, so it's really easy to know what hours, and days you can catch them and where. I've been slowly making my way through the menu. So far I've tried a mix of their tacos (they offer Chicken, Birria, El pastor and Carnitas), one of their specialty burritos, and though it's not a consistent menu item their chips and queso. I've legit been happy with everything I've tried, but my go to's are the Chicken or Birria tacos done queso style. They're pure cheesy deliciousness and if you grab a 3 pack and go all Birria it actually comes with consume aka (the dip!). Man oh man the dip takes it to a whole other level and keeps me coming back! I'm sure if you give them a try you will too! read more

I have been researching Birria tacos and Mexican on the Run came up on my radar. My aunt mentioned she was in the area and spotted the truck. It was at that very moment I knew I had to pull up on them. I sashayed across Sherwood road and instantly smelled the deliciousness, through my mask might I add. My aunt ordered her tacos but I wasn't so sure what I wanted. The lady taking my order took the time to explain my options which I really appreciated. I settled on the three queso tacos option. I mixed and matched the birria (braised beef), pollo (chicken) and carnita (braised pork) along with the transmission oil dipping sauce, or whatever you call it. Anyway the birria itself was very oily and my least fav but still very yummy. I just know I need a bib next time. The pollo and carnita were amazing. The meat was flavorful and very moist. Let me talk to you about the dipping sauce. It perfectly coated my already delicious taco. It took it to the next level. As far as price, it was a little pricey at 21 bucks with tip. However it was well worth it. read more

We've been everywhere for tacos. Lots of good places out there. These tacos and several other items keeps them a step above. The mulitas were great. The birria tacos were great. We stayed with the verde salsa which was perfect. We always miss the food truck so we tried them at the Amish market. Definitely not disappointed and the price was right. Also surprised at the amount of meat in each taco. Absolutely give them a try. Best food by far on the York rd corridor read more

Came to the location of the food truck 2 different times but only have eaten here once. The first time I went on a Friday around 1 (they opened at noon). The line had 20+ people in it & no spaces to park so I left without trying it. Second time here was a Thursday around 5:30,5:45 (they closed at 6) The few people in line had already ordered and were waiting for their food. Ordered the birria quesatacos and consume Tacos were juicy & fresh, dripping with sauce. It was my first time trying consume. Didn't have much flavor by itself but was good with the tacos. Food came quickly and the staff were friendly read more

The Food Truck on Sherwood rd is/was great!!! The best tacos I ever had. Now the local in the Amish Market was not good. I ordered the same thing as I did on the food truck. They were smaller and they were not as crispy they were soft :( read more

Checked out the truck over the weekend and it lived up to the hype! We got queso tacos with al pastor, chicken, and of course birria! We also had a side of consome (the marinade from the Birria I believe) which we dipped our tacos in. Flavor was great on all the tacos and it was a nice change up to standard tacos! Only downside is they were out of chips and drinks that day, but I bet they have great tortilla chips! We waited in line maybe 5-10 mins and then for food maybe another 10 mins. We walked to the liquor store next door to get drinks which worked well. Are the tacos in the car since we couldn't wait! Definitely recommend trying their food out! read more

I enjoyed dinner with MOTR at a food truck night at White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company. My BMORE quesadilla was awesome! It was loaded with shrimp and a little bit of crab. My son also enjoyed his plain cheese quesadilla. Next time, I would like to try the tacos. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that all the trucks around them were open and they shouted out the window they wouldn't open until the exact time (though they seemed ready). I almost went to another truck, but I'm glad I waited it out. read more

Visited the new Amish Market location. Burritos are HUGE-way too big for lunch portions and super $$. The carnitas was very bland and fatty, the small side sauces were the only thing that gave this burrito any sort of flavor. The guacamole was not good (again bland and flavorless) and extremely small (I ordered the larger size). read more

Everything I have ever had had been amazing. They take time for good quality food. Will always go back

I decided to try out Mexican on the Run for the first time at around 1:30 on a Saturday so I knew there would probably be a substantial wait. It took about an hour from the time I got in line until the time I was back in the car with my food. It was definitely worth the wait! The queso tacos with birria and consomé was delicious! It was a good amount of food, the birria was really tender and had great flavor. I had to sprinkle a little salt on mine, but that's just me. They have to be careful since others probably wouldn't appreciate the extra sodium. I'll be back! read more

This food truck was great. Service was also great. The food truck had a line of about 5-10 people. They also had about 10-15 people waiting for food. They were moving through orders at a great pace. With us ordering and the amount of people waiting on food we only waited about a total of 15 minutes. The food tasted great and they were generous with filling tacos! Definitely try them. Quick service, food was ok. Wife had a Carne asada burrito (she liked) I had 3 chorizo street tacos. Unfortunately I haven't had much experience with food trucks. Judging from the other reviews this seems to be a great place. For the price though, I think it could've been better. The chorizo was very dry, corn tortillas weren't great, not sure why the cucumber and radish slices were there that cilantro and lime though,..Perfect haha 3 stars would have been harsh, so I went 4 For their quick friendly service and the cilantro! read more

Not sure what ppl like about this place. I guess it good enough for the locals. As for ppl that know Mexican food. This is not the place for you. This truck is more on the American side. Some of the reasons I did not like are as follows. Red "spicy" sauce is just watered down tomatoes. More of a chip and tomato salsa. Just doesn't go with the tacos I ordered. It is not red Chile made from dry chili pods. Not even close to hot either. I didn't have the green salsa because I normally go for hot so I can't comment on it. I had the carnitas and they are pretty much just like the rest around here. Boiled until the meat falls apart. I also had the birria tacos with the consomé those were a little better but again the salsa did not help. The consomé was good. My fiancé had the quesadillas and that was okay. How can you mess up a grill up tortilla with cheese? There are three things that must happen with a taco. Salsa, protein and tortilla. I have no comment about the tortilla. The prices are in the high side too. Service was awesome the lady that helped was super friendly and ready to answer any question. That's why I gave the place a 2. If you like American Mexican ( heavy on the American) than try it out. For us that eat and live true Mexican skip it. Sm I don't get the name of the truck either. Do they mean a Mexican person or Mexican food? Being Hispanic I didn't really find the name catchy read more

A really solid food truck that makes the trek out to the Fells on a semi-regular basis, so this is really exciting! (also, they post on Twitter reliably, so I know where they are). What to expect - a bit of a line - this place is popular, but it moves pretty fast, so don't despair. Lunch that is under 10 bucks. This seems to be a price point that many food trucks miss. A burrito that will fill you up. I've had the burrito, and the El Chapo - both were great. They have an awesome selection of meats. I had the nachos too - that needs some work, but it was a "test item" so I'll give them a break. They guy that takes your order is friendly and loud, so you'll know when your order is up. Over all, this is what a food truck should be - quick food, good prices, great quality, and just a little bit greasy without overdoing it. (no food coma, or regrets) read more

AMAZINGGG BIRRIA TACOS AND CONSUME! So tasty and juicy!!!The carnitas though were not great at all. I got the carnitas burrito and was very disappointed especially for the price! Although I did lunch and not breakfast, I love that they are open 8-2. I ordered the vegetarian burrito... for a Mexican food truck, not bad! The burrito was a good size and flavorful. There was definitely some kick with each bite. The burrito was filled with Mexican cheese, rice, peppers and onions. I also tried the churro... save room for the churro! So good! Crunch, fluffy inside and awesome amount of cinnamon and sugar. The order comes with 4, so there's enough to go around. read more

I loved the consume - sour, a bit spicy, and full of flavor. The birria tacos were pretty good overall (was looking forward to a nice corn tortilla). The sad part was that the beef in my birria tacos was a bit dry and bland - I think they may have overcooked the beef in broth so all the flavor came out of the meat. Probably would have been great with cheese (my friend got this option and loved it) which would add some salt and fat but alas my lactose intolerant stomach couldn't do it. read more

(6/30/2016) New truck showed up at work for lunch. Got the Torta with Al Pastor, couldn't help myself. It's hard to find a good torta around town. Al Pastor was chunks of fatty pork loin in a savory seasoning with chiles, garlic, cinnamon and pineapple, delicious; some pieces moist, some a little dry. Sandwich was on a very soft split-top roll (said "bolillo roll" on the menu, but was more like a telera roll), I'm used it being a little more crusty. Fillings were very good with the Al Pastor though, pico de gallo, salsa verde, fresh sliced avocado, crumbled queso fresco, huge chunks of pickled jalapeno. Very pleased. Was $9, but it was basically delivered up to doorstep, so not really complaining. Looking forward to trying the carnitas and maybe some of the other meats in torta form (you can get a quesadilla anywhere). (7/7/2016) Love the Al Pastor, but just say no to the Carne Asada, tough, grisly bits of beef. read more
