Would not recommend. It's dark and dingy in the salon, which should have been my sign to not go further. The person doing my manicure and pedicure was digging into my skin with the tools that looked like they had already been open! My nails left the salon with nail polish all around them, even though the lady had "cleaned up" my nails. And for the first time ever, my nail polish is peeling off from the side. I have been coming to this nail salon for almost 15 years! They have recently expanded their salon to accommodate more clients and have renovated the entire place. I'm always able to walk in for my pedicures and manicures and the facility is clean and they make everyone wear masks. They have a lot of nail colors to choose from including shellac/gel nail colors and from top brands like OPI. The staff is welcoming and friendly and do great work. They have large massage chairs for the pedicures and offer you a beverage upon being seated. I recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a great place to get their nails done! gel pedicure just overall uncomfortable experience. - cut my cuticles too short i believe i was bleeding and applied acetone immediately after which was not pleasant. - nicked my nails twice with the UV lamp and was met with passive aggressive vibes when i pointed it out and asked to fix it. i came here cause my other place was so busy but i dont think ill be returning. the final product of the gel pedicure was mediocre and lots of product was left on my skin. also 50 dollars for a basic gel pedicure with mid level massaging and scraping was not worth it in todays climate with the service i received. read more

This place is my go-to nail spot in Orlando. Pros: - Almost always someone available even with walk-in - Quality of products are long lasting. My acrylic nails never break when I get them done here. This place is so nice and clean. I appreciate clean. The only reason I gave it the stars I did was because when looking at the colors they aren't really organized for gel or sns. That was irritating and they ran out of water which really isn't their fault. I'm not a talked so I don't mind if y'all don't talk to me but this time I really wanted like them to explain things to me about health of my nails and stuff like that. MetroWest is located in a small plaza; so the available parking will be in that parking lot. We (my daughter and I) went in around 4pm, no appointment, and despite them being pretty busy, we were seated for our SNS within 10 minutes. The staff was so nice, and attentive to new clients walking in as well as those that were already there. The woman who did my nails was so sweet, so attentive. However towards the end, on my right hand, I don't know if she was in a rush or what, but a couple of my nails were noticeably a different size than the other hand. At that point I had other obligations to attend to so I didn't bother asking her to fix them. They have quite the selection of colors for SNS, and what I love the most is that they are color coordinated! Makes choosing a color from such a wide selection just that much less stressful, because yes choosing a color can be stressful. I mean this is the color/design I'll have for the next two weeks, I have to consider plans for those two weeks, which includes wardrobe.. okay so back to the review. I entered into MetroWest Nails for my 2 o'clock appointment at 1:50PM and departed at 4:15PM!!! That extremely unnecessarily long visit was due to the owner, John being nasty. I was so excited to try this salon after it was recommended to me by a very loyal customer. When I scheduled my apt. he asked if I would be getting a pedicure in addition to the full set, I was unsure on the phone and replied, "Does she (Bebe) do both?". He told me yes and I told him I probably would but I'll decide when I arrived. Bebe was EXCELLENT!!!! She was so helpful in my decision making. She was friendly. She took her time & was detailed. And she communicated the perfect amount. (I hate when stylist talk you to death during any appointment). Her work was absolutely phenomenal. I am grateful my friend suggested I go to her! Though I was a few minutes early for my apt. she started my nails right away and offered me a drink. I got a coffin shaped nude gel powder manicure. She finished just shy of an hour later (3PM). By that time and because of her great work I had committed to the idea of the pedicure. She set up my chair and water and returned to tell me that someone else would be doing my feet. I asked why. She said, John said he told you I couldn't do it. I have to take care of someone with an appointment. She could see how disappointed I was and offered to go double check with him. She returned with the same result. So I sat in the chair and she began the new client that John pointed out to her (that did not have an appointment - - which I know because I later asked her). I WAITED 40 MINUTES FOR SOMEONE TO COME START MY FEET. 40 MINUTES!!! At this point I was so upset. And I did not enjoy the pedicure because the older woman was not detail oriented like Bebe. She just was trying to finish. The leg massage was forgettable. Her polishing was bad. And she talked trash about everyone including me. Which was evident from the tech sitting next to her who looked up each time she spoke looking for the people and laughing. John eventually got close enough for me to call him over. I quietly asked why he did not let Bebe do my pedicure. He said I told you when you called that the manicurist can't do the pedicures too because we're short staffed. I told him he may have told someone that but it definitely wasn't me. I even reminded him that I questioned if the tech I was selecting could do both. I followed up by letting him know I was not happy having to wait 40 minutes for someone because he pulled Bebe from me. A walk in doesn't even wait that long. His facetious response was "you waited 40 minutes?! really?" kinda like yea right. When I said yes he said "I'm sorry about that" and walked away. No solution was offered. No true concern. No promise or guarantee that my next visit would be better. He just walked away. I guess he wanted to show me that next time I need to make an appointment for what I want. I am not allowed to be unsure. The cherry on top was as I was leaving he was assigning Bebe to do a pedicure for another guest. I guess they were no longer short staffed. I normally go to Delight Nails and Spa and decided to try somewhere different just to explore my options. Well I came out to Metrowest Nails and I must say I'm quite disappointed with my nails. I get the powder nail color and it looks horrible. I asked for it to be thicker but it still looks a mess. You can literally see that my nails are uneven as far as the texture and smoothness of the nails goes. It looks lumpy! I have definitely learned my lesson and will not venture out again. I paid $100 for everything that I got but I know I won't be back here again! My nails are so thin that they will definitely break if I just scratch my arm! Very disappointed but that's what happens when you go somewhere new and they throw you to someone who doesn't seem like she knows what she is doing. Even at the end when I wanted to get my eye brows waxed, I felt as if the host or main technician (because she was sitting at the front) pushed me off to a nail tech that didn't really know how to wax eyebrows. Even my toenails looks sloppy. I am actually still sitting in the parking lot because I felt that this review HAD to be written RIGHT NOW! I came in at 6pm and I'm just leaving at 830pm. My nails are short, I got a repolish of my toes (no pedicure) and my eyebrows waxed! SMH. But the shop looks nice so I gave a star for that! Never again! UPDATE: I'm so mad...I get home and it is worst than I thought since it was dark in my car! I HATE my nails. I called my best friend on FaceTime just for her to see them. I never get my nails done here and this time I decided to try them out because my nail tech was booked all up. I got a gel pedicure and wanted a gel manicure, the lady that normally does my pedicure did a bad job, she took forever just to give me a lousy paint job. If you notice that the polish is opaque common sense would tell you to put a white base coat on before applying it!!! She put several uneven coats of gel on my toes! I didn't want to even say anything because I'm just going to take it off when I get home, BUT THE NAILS ARE SO UNEVEN, she suggested that I get dip even though I told her I wanted acrylic and if you suggested a service I would expect you to be good at it. The total came up to be $100 for uneven, ugly nails. SMH never again read more

Stopped in on Monday night after having a horrible manicure from Tip Top Nails not too far away. This place...I like this place a lot. Instantly greeted when I walked in the door. I explained my situation (had a gel mani from another local place and it was horrible, chipped after 2 days, etc) , and I was told it'd be a few minutes but they'd get me the gel colors to choose form. So they hand me this bucket full of color swatches. Not just like 50...they had at least 100 options for gel colors!! YAY!!! I go back to the station and the lady files off my existing gels, but she did it in a way I've never had done: first, she used an electric file to the top layer, then she soaked my nails. After she soaked them the first time, she took the electric file to them again. Rather than the manual file, this didn't ever burn or hurt, and my existing gels chipped off/filed off. I liked this much more than the traditional file, soak, scrape technique. I didn't get an actual manicure, just a color change. But it took less than 30 minutes for the whole thing from removal to payment. The girl who did my nails was great and friendly. The shop isn't big, but they use their space and fit everything in. It's dimly lit, but they have lights over the pedicure chairs and manicure stations to provide plenty of light for the technicians. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a little pricier, but when you pay for quality, that's never a deterrent for me. I'll definitely be going back!!! read more

When it was my turn, I was seated and left for about 15 minutes to look at colors, then a lady wrapped my nails to soak them off and never returned. Another lady came to do my nails, and they were too thick, and when i advised her that my nails needed to be filed down further, she "fixed" two nails and then shooed me and told me "no more filing". I've been getting my nails done for 15+ years, I know what they should look like. She didn't file around the cuticles to blend the product, so it basically looked like a press on nail. The product was uneven as well. So needless to say, after 2 hours, i was left with thick lumpy nails 5 days before my vacation. I've scheduled an appointment elsewhere to actually get them done correctly. read more

Was recommended this salon by a friend and I finally gave in considering I've had such an issue finding a salon that wasn't over priced or had terrible service. I did not have an appointment and they took me in right away. My pedicure was first and it was great. My fill-in gel powder was after and my nail tech Wee was so kind enough to help me find a color I saw a Pinterest picture. My daughter put me on to Metrowest Nails. I usually see Nicky who is amazing with her craft, but she doesn't work everyday so I felt compelled to try someone else since I heard everyone there was good. NOT the case at all!! I am challenged as I write this because there are two parts to my recent visit. I'll start with the positive points: Staff is always friendly Prices are reasonable Atmosphere is clean Pedicures last longer than other local spas for some reason. The negative points: Massage chairs are a wee bit worn WHO provides the nail service completely changes your review and experience. I was there on Friday with a noon appointment for me and a dear friend. At noon, they were busy and we had to wait (understandable). My pedicure started before my friends (15 mins before hers) which meant our "chat" time was shortened. Bummer for us both. Biggest disappointment was that the nail tech that cared for my friend spent most of her time on her cell phone! So it was disruptive and not at all professional. At one point I looked over to my friend (since my service was completed first) and my friend was stranded in the pedicure chair while her nail tech was texting. I live close by so that's how I knew of this place. I called shortly after they opened knowing even though it was early morning it was still on a Friday which I know can be busy. I let it ring about ten times before hanging up. I said screw it and just walked there. Surprised when I walked in only one other girl was there getting her nails done and about 8-10 employees, so I don't know why no one answered the phone. Anywho... it's a normal nail place. A couple TVs on the wall, hanging lights above the pedicure chairs. First guy closest to the door said hi how can we help you, I said just a pedicure please and he had me pick my color. I walked back to the pedicure side and a woman gestured me to sit. No other conversation or interaction with anyone else. After about 5-10 minutes of silence taking off my polish and filing my toe nails I was wondering if they had different levels of pedicure options or only one or what. I decided not to ask to see if it would be offered to me as I could see a laminated list of services in her work caddy. She never offered it to me. The only thing she said was if I wanted my callouses removed pointing at my heels. I said what isn't that included with the pedicure? She said it's $5 more. I smiled and declined. Any other place I've gone too automatically exfoliates and removes any dead skin so I was surprised it was an up charge here, but I shouldn't have been that surprised as I remember reading a bad review for here mentioning something along those lines. The vibe in here was really stale and uninviting. The main reason I enjoy pedicures are for the exfoliation of dead skin and the massage aspect. I don't even know if I can classify the petting I received as massaging, it was subpar to say the least. All in all I can't be too disappointed as the reviews I had read were so 50/50, but I was trying to get one before my other plans for the day and needed a place nearby and available. So based on just the pedicure from here I will not be going back which is sad because it is so close by which would have been super convenient for the future - but alas I will just have to be an adult and plan better to make appointments at places I know are way better but farther away. read more

Ive been here about 3 times now and every time I come It feels like a bother for someone to do my nails. They advertise on their door that they open at 9, so I arrived at 9 and the place was still closed with no one inside. No one arrived to the building until 9:20, then once inside I had to wait another 10 minutes for anyone to service me. This is completely unprofessional, the staff was not apologetic whatsoever. I got an SNS set with tips and was charged an extra $5 for tips (i was not told it was extra until check out) and all of my nails are different lengths so now I have to file them myself at home. This place is getting three stars for a few different reasons. It's conformant how close it is to home. It's definitely a wait so if you are planning on coming in make a reservation. I called beforehand to get the prices but upon arrival I found it was more expensive than stated on the phone which was no big deal. One thing they do charge is length which I have never heard of? Unless youre getting super long nails you shouldn't be charged. Overall the nails came out decent but I probably won't be back unless I'm in a rush. The salon lady skipped a lot of steps. read more

So dissatisfied and dissapointed. i recently Started coming here because I moved to Metro West and my nail salon that I've been going to for the past three years is all the way by SeaWorld and it was just getting to be too much of a drive for me. The aesthetics are nice but when I walked in I told him that I called for a walk I'm and I waited for about 15 minutes before they sat me down with a nail tech mind you before that about five people came in to the salon and sat down before me who knows maybe they had appointments maybe not. The two owners have very poor customer service you can tell that if you're not one of their regulars they treat you pretty much like crap As if the service was free. I sat down and I told the lady what I wanted done which was overlay over my natural nails and gel polish I had to tell the lady every step of the way how to do her job. I don't think that I should have to tell a nail technician to clean up the skin around the nails or that the nail polish wasn't applied correctly or to put oil on my nails and cuticles or lotion on my hands . I wanted a design on one of my nails and she couldn't do said design she instead offered to do something else which I wasn't happy with so I change the color from what I originally wanted to a different color and I was already annoyed at this point. I don't know what the rave is about with the salon maybe if I was one of their favorites I would've gotten better treatment but how can I get there if they treat regular customers as second-class citizens?
