The owner (a male) is rude. And he doesn't care if someone writes a bad review. He didn't know I understood every word he said. So here is his bad review. He will make an appt then make you wait. He will tug on you and insist the gel he is offering to put on is the best. So he leaves no room if you want something else. Finally, you won't get a smile out of him. I've tipped him 20% every time and he is stone. Not worth it. There are tons of other nail salons to choose from. Since he is so cavalier, I'll take my biz elsewhere. read more

I love this place! Today I'm getting my full set of acrylic nails replaced and a pedicure. My nail technicians name is Ly. She's super personable and a true pleasure to spend a few hours with. Her English is perfect which I know many people complain about nail techs not understanding them - there is no issue with her communication. The pedicure I'm getting is a massage chair that feels amazing. Hot stone massage , hot towels, paraffin wax, etc - They do offer waxing. The salon is always clean and everyone is friendly. Elan Nails saved the day. I'm still new to the area and still finding my "places". Earlier in the day I had gone to another a different nail salon and walked away with some tragic nails. As I had to run across town for a lash appointment I couldn't stay for a redo or fix. Elan Nails was a few doors down from the Lash Studio so on my way out of my appointment I thought I'd give it a shot that they would help me and fix my bad nails. What can I say...very disappointed experience. My partner and I went to get our nails done as a nice treat and while we were treated nice, the experience of our nails was extremely sub par. I spent the night prior researching various salons in the Dr. Phillips area and this one came highly recommended. I decided to get ombré dip nails with mini stiletto tips ($65) and I got a basic pedicure with polish ($28) my nail tech was very sweet and did an amazing job with my pedicure. She was very gentle yet had great consistency with pressure throughout the service. Nail polish was evenly applied. My manicure, that's where things went south. It's left lumpy, inconsistent and the polish was messy. All shapes are not the same. It felt rushed. I did ask for a few things to be adjusted but felt rushed to leave. My partner got a less than pleasant experience. He wanted a basic mani pedi both with polish and mani with a simple linear design. The design was very shaky and the nail tech said he wasn't a professional which made him uneasy. He also got the same pedicure as I did but did not have a good experience with his nail tech. I tipped 20% based on the time they took on our nails and I didn't want to be rude. I recommend not going here unless you want something SUPER basic. The prices for a basic service is way over priced for what you get. No beverages offered, space feels cramped, services rushed and poor experience. read more

3/5/22 I walked out of Elan Nails @ Dr. Phillips Blvd in FrshMkt plaza. I had an appt. for 1:00 which was made in advance. I arrived five minutes prior, was largely ignored when I said I had a 1:00 appt. for two people for two services each. After 30 minutes I commented that I felt like we were being passed over, so they hussled us into two foot basins, one of which (mine) had human hair and dust balls floating around in it and the water was cold. It was clearly the last clients foot scum. We asked to have it removed/replaced, which begrudgingly happened, but then I was left to sit in (standing) water that again got cold over another 30 minutes of being completely ignored by all who worked there. Meanwhile my daughter was receiving "some" service on her feet--hard to see what, if much at all. So, after a full hour of zero service and cold water, in walks a random solicitor with a basket of frozen foods that he attempts to sell to the seated patrons who are helpless to escape his story. That was it for me. I got up and left, disgusted by being ignored after making an appointment, having my feet submerged in cold, filthy foot bath remains of another, total humiliation in front of all of the other women in the packed salon who "nodded in agreement" as I left in silence. They knew. I chose to call the owner after leaving, and having my daughter walk out in pursuit in the beginning of her own long overdue appt. She gave the tech money because that's how I raised her. When I called the owner muttered something and then he hung up. Be wary. Be very wary. They showed me they are unclean, unsafe and unethical. read more

Got a manicure. My nails look great. They were clean, fast and a good price. They have a good selection of colors and the nail tech was very friendly. I would give it a 5 but the first time I came in, they said they would see me right away and I waited 15m. I would just prefer they tell me how long then make me think I will be right away.
