I utilized this business a long ago. Inviting atmosphere, clean modern environment, good service, and quality drinks were all checked when I made a quick stop to grab some caffeine boost. If you order a doppio (double espresso), just order a single one because a single automatically comes with two shots (which this kind young man told me upon ordering.) This is a quant small shop so I don't know how busy it gets during the coffee rush time but I would go here with a book to read. Went to metropolis coffee in early January 2026 and they did not disappoint. I wish I grabbed her name but the barista up front recommended the brown sugar syrup cappuccino and I'm so glad I listened. The interior is well decorated and gives the vibes of a coffee shop as well. Will be coming back. read more

This is a simple pop 'in n out' sort of place. I'm sure it's fine if you want to get some work down and the views won't disappoint. My friend lives in the building, so it was a no brainer to come here for some coffee. Between an americano, mochas, and lattes everything was tasty! It was a cozy vibe. Love this place. We traveled to CO from MN and always look for the best all around coffee shops. This place not only has the warmest and best inside vibes with the wood and metal accents really topping it off, their coffee is fantastic. Metropolis Coffee is a cool cafe located right in the hip SoBo neighborhood next to fun bars and vintage boutiques. Upon entering, I fell in love with the cafe's decor. It's a bright space with lots of plants growing everywhere. I love how they built a lofted space that's more private and cozy... a perfect spot to study or read a good book. The cafe has really cool tree branch wallpaper and a unique Mother Earth mural by the front door. The staff was friendly and prompt to take my order. I got an iced coffee with clove and cinnamon simply syrup while my mom got a brown sugar latte. Both were delicious! Very high quality and not too sweet. Nice coffee shop with a patio seating area on Central Street. At around 8am on a Friday, there were other customers at the shop, but there was not a significant line. I opted for a small iced coffee, which came to around $4. The coffee had a smooth and acidic flavor (I actually prefer an acidic flavor). A coffee shop with decent WiFi, Herkimer coffee (light to medium roasts only) and an emphasis on purity of the beverage is a five star choice in my book! My cortado was a little bit foamy but the taste was top notch; not a hint of bitterness to be found. Coffee is good here but the baristas are extremely rude. When I walked in I wasn't greeted. Asked the girl taking my order how she was doing and she said fine and proceeded to give me a dirty look. I ordered a iced coffee with oat milk which is not what they set down in the pick up area - they just gave me a black iced coffee so I asked about the oatmilk and the second barista rudely told me I needed to hang on because she was busy steaming an espresso. So the barista handed me the oatmilk to pour in myself without saying anything to me. Came in here on Saturday around 4pm. Realizing I entered close to close time considered walking out since I saw much of the store had been cleaned up and the staff was closing down the coffee bar. She was very nice and didn't seemed phased by my order of an americano. They have 3 different sizes available for drinks since first time here the lady showed me the options. She made my drink and showed me where the additional bar options and lids for coffee was. I couldn't check out food options as it was close to close not many options left. I love Metropolis on Broadway and am a regular there. I recently moved to this part of town and was excited to tRy out this location, but honestly have never had a good experience. Every single barista here is so rude. They don't even say Hi when you walk in. Specifically the gal with purplish long hair, tall blonde guy, and the blonde girl with bangs.
