The entire experience with this company was seamless starting with my initial booking. I spoke with Zach and he made me feel very comfortable to book immediately and not shop around. He had extremely clear communication and it was a very professional experience all around. Todd and Jeff worked extremely efficiently and hard and it was 96 degrees today. Thanks guys!! They were very careful with all of my belongings, pleasant and courteous. The entire team went above and beyond to help me! When making my reservation they were very nice and answered all my questions. The movers, Jeff and Tyler, were on time and worked quickly while ensuring my items were safe and secure. I had planned to recycle them but the driver said he wanted them. Had I known it would be an extra $272, I wouldn't have agreed. And to top it all off, they charged me an hour extra ($159). I can't complain about the actual movers, who were fantastic, but the shady business practices are enough to make me want to warn others. I had to pay in full before they'd unload the truck, I did not get an itemized bill until I asked twice via email, and then when I questioned the extra charges, I also had to ask twice. Be wary.

We went through Pack & Load to move our furniture into a POD for an almost whole-house construction…read moreproject. From the very first communication (phone call with Michael) to the day of the actual job (several calls from Heather), they were good to work with. Michael's nice, confident manner assured me that they would take good care of us. Further communications with him, he was right there, very responsive to the emails I sent with questions. During the day of the move, Heather checked in several times to see how things were going, very friendly. P&L did contract a local moving company to do the work (they were great as well!). Talk about a Shakedown!!! We had an agreement that the movers would arrive Monday to wrap the…read morefurniture and on Tuesday they would load the trucks. On Sunday evening they let me know that no one would be here on Monday and that they would do it all on Tuesday. After talking with the office Monday morning they decided to send a crew out around noon. They arrived and started working. After about 15 minutes Kim came out to let us know they would have to raise the estimate and that the boss would call soon to talk to us. Kim was extremely nervous and was backed up by muscle when she talked to us. A real try at intimidation. The boss called and said instead of the estimate of $10,000 it would now cost us $15,000. We fired them and made them leave our house. They did not leave the neighborhood but continued to call and text. We had buyers looking at our house when the boss threatened to send Kim to our front door. We sure did not need that.
