Was helped beyond my expectations and needs. Was told the glasses would come in 4 days, took 2 weeks. Was convinced to order blue light and I hated it so i returned the glasses and had to wait 2 days (quicker than I expected) but did not receive a refund for the extra $ i paid for this. Ridiculous. Could have fought it, didn't waste my breathe though. When i picked up my glasses (a second time) they were broken..... the arm was completely out of the frame. Was told It would take an hour to fix & id get a call when they were ready.... 2 days later.... nothing. Called to inquire & was asked 3x if i was calling the right location because they had no idea where my glasses were. Unbelievable!! Was back and forth for 15 min till the lady said she'd call me back. Luckily she found them but then claimed I was lying about the broken arm???????? Again, unbelievable. Went to pick up my glasses a THIRD TIME & guess what???? Still not perfect. Arm was slightly crooked. Was told AGAIN that I was wrong. Ive been wearing frames since i was young and also paid $450 for them..... wasn't leaving without perfection... Finally after 3.5 weeks, 3 visits & multiple phone calls, i was ok to go... Long story short..... don't bother. Find frames online for 1/2 the price!!

On February 28th, I went in to pick up glasses that had been ready since December 2025. I was…read moregreeted by an employee and clearly stated that I was there to pick up my glasses. I was told I would be helped, and I then waited nearly an hour while several customers who arrived after me were assisted first, including two couples with a baby, two men, and a woman. I observed each of them being called ahead of me. While I was waiting, a bald employee seated on the far left said twice to two coworkers, "there are other tickets," in reference to the employees standing and gossiping near the front desk only a few feet from where I was seated. That comment appeared directed at their conversation, not at assisting customers. Despite this, every new arrival continued to be helped before me. After approximately fifty minutes, I calmly approached the counter and asked why customers who came in after me had been seen first. The employee responded by stating that it had not been an hour. It had been. I left the store feeling frustrated. As I was walking out, the same bald employee loudly made "cuckoo" sounds in my direction, implying that I was irrational. That behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate. I have previously purchased four pairs of glasses with progressive lenses from this location and had even brought two additional frames with me that day to order more lenses. I chose not to proceed with that purchase. I am a teacher and a single father, and it is not easy to find time to manage basic errands, which is why the glasses had been ready for over a month. To be treated in this manner after waiting that long is unacceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

So when my husband needed glasses, I couldn't recommend him to the other places. He found MetroOptics in Parkchester. Upon arrival the place was packed, but not chaotic. We met Yvette and Angelica, who assisted my husband with superb customer service. He couldn't be more pleased with his new contact lenses and glasses. Aurora, took care of my mom. She knew as soon as she looked at my moms previous glasses- that they require a prism. That's impressive considering the 2 other places that had missed it. Glasses were ready in a few days . After picking up our glasses we can say these are the best we have owned. Aurora seems to value the individual in the community- you are not just a number. Professional, friendly, thoughtful, cordial and runs a great business. Can't wait to return.

On Friday 11/21 metro optics left a voice mail stating my glasses were ready. On 11/24/2025 I walk into metro optics on parkchester. I go directly to Ashley the same person who stated my glasses will be ready in 30 days. Lol I cannot make this ishhh up. I said I'm here to pick up my glasses. She says the glasses are not ready. I said this is the 2nd metro optics contacts me stating my glasses are ready. When they're not! Look at my reviews from last week. Where metro optics left me a first message stating the glasses were ready. At this point I'm extremely frustrated with the nonsense that goes on at this place for years. I told Ashley clearly this place lacks on communication. This is an on going issue with this company. She tried to give me a whole story as if I really wanted to hear the BS!! Then said someone didn't do their job. Clearly!!! It's an on going issue. I will be reaching out to 311 to voice my concerns. I would have never given metro optics a star. Unfortunately that's how yelp is set up.
